movies/tv 'Mortal Instruments' Drama 'Shadowhunters' Goes Straight to Series at ABC Family

So for a while a rumor has been going around that the Young Adult books which have been

a smash all over the world:   The Mortal Instruments .  Now I am a fan and have read the first six books,  which you get the normal girl meets guy,   gets dragged into a supernatural world full of magic and monsters and etc with a few friends theme....

 

Which this has been reported: The youth-skewing cable network has handed out a straight-to-series order for Shadowhunters, a drama based on author Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments book series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

 

Now I'm not going into details but given the movie ( :okiedokielokie: )  I hope they do a TON  better job this time around with this outstanding world Cassandra Clare has made.  One thing I loved in these books was she let her cannons grow,  people got killed,  many of the side characters also took a good center stage and came out on their own.  Miss Clare built on her world and even has a pre books in the same world.
