If you're as good at writing as you are at drawing, we'd love to have you in the RP section! 

 

But blatant advertising for the RP World aside, the rest of the site is perfectly lovely. I joined about a year ago and never expected to go as deep down the rabbit hole as I have. This place has such a great community. 

Funny you mention the RP section as I was poking my muzzle around there the other day to see how things ran.

 

My issue is I think I'm an ok writer, but I don't think RP is quite my thing. I'm all about world and character creation. I have been playing with a "new world" or something more like a new landmass in the ponyverse that introduces some custom races and a wide range of characters. Something I would LOVE for that projects is to develop the worldspace and some starting characters and let people play with the idea. I am more interested in taking the backseat and watching the development then really taking part, but the RP section doesn't seem like it quite supports that idea? Idk. I haven't taken the time to poke around too much cause I have been busy with other junk.

I never thought I'd be huge into RP for the same reasons, but I joined out of pure curiosity regardless and found that I LOVED it. Now I'm helping write the lore for Pony Roleplay, which is a separate Poniverse where the entire RP world will be shifting to sometime soon.

 

As for world building and race creation, while EqE doesn't support that (being the canon section), EvE certainly has the scope for that kind of thing. Even more so once Pony Roleplay launches! We'll have a whole 'Alternate Universe' section in there you can go nuts in. 

 

I'm usually hanging about in EqE because I love canon, and building on canon, buuuuut there are good roleplays in EvE as well. You need to search a little harder, but they are there. (And you are certainly welcome to create your own!)
