Here's a tiny snippet

 

I sat in my lawn chair, looking up at the nice, clear, blue sky. Not a cloud in the sky. Not even sound, except for the peaceful wind chimes carelessly blowing in the wind, playing a sweet tune, one which I've heard all my life, ever since childhood, and the birds chirping. I thought, while this was a relaxing way of life, this was not how I should be spending most of my time, so I decided to do something productive, but when it came to thinking of said "productive thing" to do, my mind drew a blank...

Have you got a plot outline? The one I posted the other day hadn't and that's why I ditched it years ago. But with my latest I had a good plan of the whole thing in my mind, so I'm learning!

Actually, yes now. John Madison is a 23 year old who has just graduated college. Every day since he got his own house, he's been slacking off a bit. He soon realizes he shouldn't be waisting his degree---after all, he did go to college to be a journalist---, so he decides to set out to become one.

How big a project are you aiming for? 'Gary's Trip' was my biggest 2245 and the others were all just about the thousand, which is pretty much an instant reward on finishing time. But this weeks fanfic is just under 4000 already, and I'm fairly sure I'm not halfway through? But there are so many things I want to say and concepts I want to explore! I think I've created my own monster. But I have my grim ending, so I'm happy to keep tapping the keys.
