So; I've been wracking my brain trying to think of how to split this group and this is kinda the idea I had so far; unfortunately this list only includes those on the front page (Minus myself since I'm no longer playing). So I don't know who the other few people are playing or what classes they plan on playing.

Well, to my knowledge, I'll be joining as a Crystal Pony Cleric, though I'm not on the first post list as I haven't quite finished the last details of my character sheet. I blame much of that on work, but also my own neglect during free time - apologies if I held anyone up with that one. I only signed on a short while ago, for what that's worth.

I'll aim to have my character sheet sorted out this week. Don't bother waiting for me if things start beforehand, I'll catch up. :fluttershy:

Scholar might be the only person I'm familiarized with here, and the only one to know anything about my characters motives in this, but I would be comfortable in either group. If anything, being in the second group under Jaith might be a good thing given how new to the site I yet am - not knowing the community. Unless people had other plans for me I wasn't aware of, at least?

Just be aware I'll still be a huge noob for a while to come, never having played a Pathfinder game before this. :twi:

This is our Cleric player

I would say perhaps add CobraCommando to the party you would be DMing and add Archem to the party I am DMing.... hmm, though since you have greater experiance with Pathfinder perhaps it would be better for you to take Archem.

Questions.

First for the party I'm a part of, are we working for anyone or are we free lance? and what type of group are we? just general adventurer types? and do we know each other?

second Did anyone get any magical containers such as bags of holding? if not I got a type 2 bag, and are we going to be gone from city's for more then 1 month at a time?

And for the Gm, is this a "serious game" or is it more akin to the show? is there going to be combat, if so is our party prepared for such things if I make a skald?

Is playing a diamond dog going to be a problem?

guess thats all I have besides the story and what's it about.

@@CobraCommando, Those are a lot of question many of which I am not ready to answer. I kinda took the reigns without much planning so I'm sorry if it takes me a while to get things figured out.

I do tend to run combat focused games there's that to think about; I think the only class that can't really benefit from rage is the magus since he needs to be able to cast spells.

As for tone; it'll probably be similar to the more adventurous episodes involving big villains.

I don't have a huge problem with someone playing a diamond dog; however I don't think there is racial stats for them on the front page.

As for story; I guess that depends how much Equestrian Scholar and I want to keep the two games connected.

Starting out there was the plan for no one to know each other but find themselves come together, starting from different points but for different reasons or motives perhaps coming to the same spot. This would be the 'setup' stage of the campaign which players can discussion with their DM before posting once the IC thread(s) are made. The idea was Spells and I thought it was fair, meant to avoid the tired idea of 'everyone meets in a tavern'.

Diamond Dogs

Canines with a pull towards the wealth of the earth and order among miners, Diamond Dogs are well-known as a fearsome foe.

Standard Racial Traits

Ability Score Racial Traits: Diamond Dog's labor requires them to be strong and hardy. +2 to Strength, +2 to Constitution.

Size: Meduim

Type: Fey (Canine)

Base Speed: 40 ft.

Languages: Diamond dogs begin play speaking Common. Diamond dogs with high Intelligence scores can choose from Draconic, Infernal, Goaten, and Terran

Racial Traits

Greed: Diamond dogs gain a +2 bonus on Appraise checks to determine the price of non-magical goods that contain precious metals or gemstones.

Darkvision: Diamond dogs as a race spend most of their time underground, and can see perfectly in darkness. They have darkvision to a range of 60 ft.

Scent: Diamond dogs have the scent ability.

Burrow: Diamond Dogs have a burrow speed of 30 ft.

Fearsome: Diamond Dogs scorn caution and subtlety for swagger and bluster and gain a +4 racial bonus on Intimidate checks.

Alternate Racial Traits

Engineer: Diamond Dog engineers tinker endlessly with fire, explosives, and the engines of war. Diamond Dogs with this racial trait gain a +2 racial bonus on Craft (alchemy) and Knowledge (engineering) checks. This racial trait replaces fearsome.

Magehunter: Diamond Dogs hate and fear arcane casters. A magehunter gains a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft checks made to identify a spell being cast and a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls against arcane spellcasters. He only gains this bonus against creatures that use spells, and not against those that only use spell-like abilities. This racial trait replaces fearsome.

Scarred: A Diamond Dog can scar himself with both blade and fire to toughen his hide into a mass of deep scars. Diamond Dogs with this racial trait gain a +1 natural armor bonus to Armor Class. However, the repeated exposure to fire permanently damages their eyes. This racial trait replaces the darkvision racial trait.

Slave Hunter: Diamond Dog slavers excel at tracking down runaway slaves and surviving in filthy conditions. Diamond Dogs with this racial trait gain a +2 racial bonus on Survival checks and a +2 racial bonus on Fortitude saves against disease. This racial trait replaces greed.

Alternate Favored Class Bonuses

Alchemist: Add +1/2 to the number of bombs per day the alchemist can create.

Barbarian: Add +1/6 the number of attacks of opportunity per round. This does not stack with the Combat Reflexes feat.

Cleric: Add +1/2 to negative energy spell damage, including inflict spells

Fighter: Add a +1/2 circumstance bonus on critical hit confirmation rolls with a weapon of the Fighter's choice (maximum bonus +4). This bonus does not stack with Critical Focus.

Sorcerer: When casting sorcerer spells with the fear descriptor, add +1/3 to the effective caster level of the spell, but only to determine the spell’s duration.

I would suggestion looking over the list of characters we already have and considering a role that isn't as strongely covered, especially since we have split the 'party' into two. The use of the Skald class I could see as interesting, and I would offer that you might use the Barbarian favored class options for such when it comes to diamond dogs.

To your other questions:

There are those with with magical containers, though I believe bags of holding are too expensive at this point and people are instead using the Handy Hoversack instead.

A mix of serious and lightheartedness from the show with a mix of combat, exploration, and adventure though I at least will be rewarding players with experience if they come up with less violent ways of overcoming a challenge. I don't want to encourage the 'murder hobo' tendency some parties in D&D/Pathfinder seems to follow. Now there are somethings violence may require, such as when facing undead or a clearly dark and evil force, but for many challenges much like the show violence wont be the best answer.

You playing a Skald seems fine to me, such a class could still be made useful though combat though this wont always be the direction a challenge will go.
