Leif 54 May 1, 2015 Share May 1, 2015 Well to be fair, Celestia's tail has run out of batteries countless times. Don't think I don't see that O_O "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant, it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are" Click on my dragon to help him grow! Unlikeable Pony 2,700 May 2, 2015 Share May 2, 2015 IMO, it is a question of power. In episode 2, Luna does not have a flowing mane right after being rescued. Plus in season 4 finale Twilight does when she gets the other's powers. Not for more than a few seconds though; after the scene where she gets the magic put into her, her hair reverts to a "normal" state. Kind of wish she'd had a flowing ethereal mane full time after that, but it might have been hard for them to do the "Twilight hiding her magic from her friends" thing if she did.
