HereComesTom 2,270 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 I'm trying to build a (non-pony related) card game using XCode and Swift, and I'd like to have the corners of the cards rounded. I've drawn the cards in MS Paint on my PC, but Paint doesn't really give me any tools for making a particular color transparent. Is there a good, cheap (or free?) tool on the AppStore I can download that'll let me make the card images transparent around the rounded edges? I know a tool like Fireworks would be able to do that ludicrously easily, but is there a cheaper way to go? 2 Help the main six stop the Weather Factory Meltdown! BlackWater627 700 April 26, 2015 Share April 26, 2015 I don't know about the AppStore or any specific environment requirements you might have, but GIMP is totally free and you can pretty much do anything in it that you can do in Photoshop. It's what I use for my art and I've never had an issue. It'll do what you need. 3 Kindness is just a few words away. HereComesTom 2,270 April 26, 2015 Author Share April 26, 2015 Thanks; I'll try GIMP and see how far I can get. Considering that I just want to make the corners of six graphics transparent, it shouldn't be that tough... 1 Help the main six stop the Weather Factory Meltdown! Dark Heart 284 May 9, 2015 Share May 9, 2015 Well if its for free i recommend Paint.net its a free program and its really good if you add extra plug-ins, the program by itself should be enough for what you posted, but if you want a more professional look to your stuff i recommend adding the plug-ins which are free as well. I download free brushes and add ons from deviantart all the time. It's a fairly easy program. I use the 2.6 though because the newer version was glitchy with my tablet.
