"Oh! I can fly! I can come! Really!" Skylar said, excitedly, opening her giant wings. "I know I don't look like much, but I'm actually pretty fast!" She flew up slightly to prove that she could fly. "Trust me, I got your back, Lightning!" She said, puffing up slightly, feeling proud.

"Well alright, but first I want to fly around a bit to stretch my wings. How does a race sound to you?" Lightning strike said smiling. "It's also to see if you will be able to keep up with me." Lightning Strike took off her bag, ready to fly around for a bit before they started their search

Skylar grinnned cheekily. "Sounds awesome," Skylar said. She flew up, waving at the others. "Castle of the sisters,huh? Heard of that place. Heard it's super sketchy-- this is gonna be awesome! I warn ya, in fast, though!" Skylar grabbed a tree branch and stretched out her wings to their full wingspan, which was intimidatingly large on so small a pony.

Lightning strike flew up to the branch skylar was on, "I'm up for the challenge. ok, ready? Set? GO!" Lightning strike took off, she was going so fast you could see her backtrail, which was a somewhat cerulean color with a yellow zig zag going down the middle, LS was smiling, she was thinking to herself: I probably should've warned the kid I was also really fast

[Humble Hymn 90]

Humble took note of Skylar's wings and her excitement towards using them. Sometimes he wishes he was like that, or like any other pegasus. Using his wings to fly around, helping with the weather or any other jobs needed. Though he knows well he doesn't want flying to be a responsibility that he could fail at, hurting himself or, more importantly, others. Also cause he, shamefully, is afraid of heights. As he is comfortable flying slightly off the ground, being himself, there are the times that not flying properly causes problems in his life, such as when Lightning asked him to fly with her. Perhaps it would easier to talk about it with somepony,  he thought, maybe with Spellbind. I did mention it to her earlier, and she does seem very understanding. Though would it help our relationship as friends, or just secure this other relationship she appears to be trying to make.....

Skylar blinked. Shoot, she was fast. Skylar zoomed after her, kicking off he branch with a force that made the branch crack behind her. She was almost 10 feet behind LS, but Skylar was determined to win.

After all, she hadn't lost a race in 3 years, and she want going to start now.

Truth be told, because her wings were so big it was hard to fly quickly. But her wings were extremely powerful, and she could turn and gain altitude faster Han almost any pony she knew... Except for perhaps this one.

LS looked back at skylar, "I should've warned you I was this fast" she said smiling. "You're not bad though kid" then she went back to looking forward so she wouldn't run into any clouds. "We should probably turn our race around soon so we can get back with the others"

[Rocket Punk 476]

I was in Ponyville since my boss told me to deliver a package to a certain Pinkie Pie. But when I arrived in town, it was all dark and gloomy. A storm was coming, apparently. I took my skateboard in my AEP and left the train station with the package. But once I arrived in town, things got strange: shadows were all moving to a forest nearby, and some of them looked alive. I tried to find a place called Sugarcube Corner, where I had to deliver this package, but shadows started to attack me.

 

- Dang, what the hay is going on?

 

Suddenly, my own shadow came to life and grabbed its own skateboard to hit me. I dodged its attack.

 

- Oh, that's what ya want? Okay then, show me your moves...

 

I kicked it in the head and galloped right to the entrance of the forest.

"Awright," Sky said, grinning, then turned, very quickly. She frowned, stopping abruptly. Stopping was another thing she was very good at.

"Hey, Lightning, do you see that pony? I think he's heading into the forest," Skylar said, pointing. "Should we cut the race short and do it another time to go over to him?"

"Yeah" LS said, she flew down to the pony with the spiky red hair, "hey there, who are you?" She asked him, then she said "you shouldn't go in there, there are strange things happening, you should find shelter" then se turned around and started to go back in the forest to meet up with the others

Skylar grinned at the new pony. He looked like the sort of ponoes she got along with, except older. At least, judging by the skateboard. "Yo, I'm Skylar. What's your name?" She said, alighting on the ground in front of the pony, ignoring the fact that Lightning had been about to leave.

"Come back to the hut soon skylar, we are going to leave soon" LS said before she went in the forest. LS flew back up into the air, then she took off above the forest in search of the hut. She soon spotted it and met up with the group, when she had landed, she went over to where her bag was and put it on.

LS was talking with the others "so did you guys see any of the race?" LS asked excitedly. She then said "whoever or whatever is causing these shadows is going to get beaten, both physically and in the general term, stopped." She then took out an apple from her bag to get some of her energy back that she used up during the race

[Humble Hymn 90]

"Well...I think you both did good" Humble replied, trying not to be one sided,"You obviously had a lot of practice, and Skylar did well for a pegasus her age....." he cuts off with a more cautious reply,"Though.....as for what's causing the shadows...maybe there's a reason for why it's happening..is there a way we could...you know...maybe...fix this without violence...." Knowing quite well that violence is indeed needed at times, such as with the earlier fight, Humble doesn't exactly agree with that face to face.

Blizzard was hanging at the back with Caliber, "All this seems strange doesn't it bro? With all the shadow pieces and the shadow copies of ponies. I wonder who can do something like that. Somepony bad, somepony, evil....hmmm" Blizzard put a hoof to his chin to think.

"Well what do you think we should do instead to defeat the bad guy humble? Reason with him/her? Because I don't think that is going to work" LS looked in her bag, "hang on everypony, I'll be right back" LS took off again. This time she went to her house, she opened her piggy bank and took some money out if it. Then she went down to ponyville, she went to a sword shop and asked the pony there is he had any swords, the pony said yes, LS bought the sword an flew back to the everfree forest. "Alright I'm back" she said once she got back to the hut

He looked through his mapping orb. What little vision he currently had, as his influence had not stretched far yet, was that the ponies were still within the forest. "These ponies just don't know when they should quite" he grinned, some of his sharp teeth gleaming. "I guess they will have to be dealt with" he laughed darkly.

I was here, staring at the two ponies like I didn't give a buck about the danger.

 

- You know, I had to fight against my own shadow back there in Ponyville, so I know it's dangerous. But a cool guy like me never fear those thingies.

 

I hopped down from my skateboard and looked at Sky.

 

- Nice race, by the way. My name's Rocket. Rocket Punk.

Sky grinned. "Seeya," she called to Lightning. She turned to Rocket. "Well, Lightning and I are in a group of warriors," she emphasized warriors slightly, "and we're just about to head yo the castle of two sisters to try and see if we can figure out what's going on with the shadows. Wanna come? I'm sure no one will mind." She winked.

Lightning strike called out. the group had to get moving if they wanted to get to the castle before dark, the light from the hut shone on her new sword that she put in her bag, causing it to shine a little. LS noticed this, she pushed the sword down into her bag, hoping no one saw that

caliber was playing that game where you blow leaf into the air, and try to keep it in the air. his body ached from almost over-using his dark magic, but he didnt care. that pain'll go away in about an hour. 

 

"whats taking them so long? its just a walk in the everfree." he complained. he sat up. "ah...maybe they ran into some trouble. i better go check up on them" he started to trot towards the direction they went.

Blizzard froze Caliber's leaf with a skeet shot, "I don't know bro, but I think they'll be fine one their own. Maybe we should wait a bitmore until they come back, but until then...." Blizzard took out his grandfather's book and began to read it while he walked.

Lightning strike noticed the game caliber and IB were playing, she walked over to them, "mind if I play to?" She asked them. "I've got nothing better to do, we're just waiting for skylar to return" she sat down. She called out to skylar again, "ugh, what's taking her so long, if she doesn't come back soon I'm going to go get her myself"

"Me and skylar saw a pony walking into the woods, that why skylar isn't back yet, she was talking with him" (@Rocket Punk) "do you guys think we should let him come with us?" LS asked the others. She then got a leaf, laid down on her back, and began blowing the leaf into the air

Skylar didn't wait for Rocket to respond. "I'm going to catch up with my group," shesaid. "Feel free to come find us. It's the one with all the swords." She winked and shot off, a gray streak. She landed beside the others, making the leaf fly away. "Yo, I'm back. Told that pong he could come find us if he wanted to."

"Alright, I guess we should get going now that she's back" LS put her bag back over her. She looke at skylar, "get your thins ready then meet me up at the top of that tree" LS said pointing to a nearby tree. LS flew back in zecoras hut for a second, "thanks for the help Zecora" then she left the hut and flew up to the tree

(Geez, shouldnt have been absent! I'll just recap, sorry for the delay people)

 

A bunch of things had happened. A new pony under the name of Red had showed up. Humble had complimented Spellbind's mane after remembering a verse which had worried Spellbind.

At the moment she was talking with Humble. She dropped a Bit on the ground and bent over to pick it up.

 

This caused her hat to fall off, revealing her deformed horn.
