Spiral- Suri no Kizuna.

Synopsis: Two years ago, Ayumu Narumi's older brother Kiyotaka, a famous detective and pianist, disappears without a trace. Ayumu's only clue as to his brother's whereabouts is the phrase "Blade Children," the only words Ayumu could make out in Kiyotaka's final phone call. Now in high school, Ayumu becomes involved in solving in a series of murders and other incidents, all related to the Blade Children. Together with his school's journalist, Hiyono Yuizaki, and the unwilling assistance of his sister-in-law, Madoka, Ayumu tries to figure out who the Blade Children are and what are their goals.

Really awesome anime, unfortunately, it didn't answer anything or tell the whole story, like the manga did. I think it should be given a second chance to do just that. Unfortunately, seems like the only anime worth getting reboots are the bigger impacting ones, like Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Digimon.

Not fair.

 

Has anyone seen this anime/ manga? What are your thoughts on it? Is it deserving of a reboot?

I've heard of this anime. Always wanted to see it.

 

There are a lot of anime I wish would get rebooted or continued. Many anime cut off when the manga wasn't finished so it leaves too many loose ends. Air Gear is a more recent one I've watched that I wish had more to it cuz I know the manga didn't finish until three years ago.

yeah, same here, actually. Spiral's not the only one on my wishful reboot list. I just happened to have the full set of DVD's from way back when, and watching them last night, and wanted to make a topic on it.

Don't you hate that, though? D:< I can make peace with an anime, even if it leaves out a few things from the manga, but just ending, when the manga continues on really grinds my gears.

Ah, Air gear. I remember that. I got into the anime, but not the manga. But I do know that there was a 3rd form to Agito/ Akito, who I liked, but was in the manga only, and was basically his own mother? Yeah, wish the anime would've continued on and told the remainder of the story from the manga.

Most of it is that the inspiration never struck me. I buy things based entirely on my own whims and if I do anything but I find myself regretting the decision. Someday I'll get into it but it's hardly a priority. There are a lot of anime to see out there. I'm already two and a half behind in anime I own, let alone ones I don't already.

 

The worst part about Air Gear is that there is obviously more to the story. There are anime that follow manga but at least try to give some closure. Air Gear didn't do that. What was made worse is that I really, really liked it and knowing there's more I can't see animated bugs the shit out of me.
