...what?... Ok I don't even have those kind of thoughts, that doesn't make any sense when weapon's are readily available ...whats going on here? He shook his head and turned around and asked the kindly red maned pony a question "I'm terribly sorry Miss but I seem to be a bit off today, do you perhaps know where I could rest my head?"

"Ugh with all their resources they could have at least have made an effort to seem appealing to outsiders. Lady Belancast would never have agreed to peace talks. She was always a unagreeable magister. My carriage bumped along the roads before I requested it to halt. "I find myself in need of refreshment, stop at the nearest pub will you." After a few minutes the carriage came to a halt in front of a rather decently built establishment. Looking out the window I spotted a few soldiers still in uniform drinking in leisure. I snorted in disgust before walking inside. Wearing full plate the whole day was exhausting I needed a drink. I took a seat and asked for a beer, I looked around the room as I waited for my drink.

Ruby was slightly annoyed that the earth pony returned. 

"I see you're feeling quite out of sorts. Well, no worries." She callled out to her maid. "Ponietta, give this kind gentleman a cup of of tea and some biscuits. And, set up the downstairs guestroom."

 

Ruby listened to the visitor with patience. Ponietta then escorted him to a nice room with its own bathroom and regal decor.

"Thank you kindly Miss." he bowed slightly and sat down with a sigh and pulled out his log within his room ​Interesting, obviously wealthy and polite, wonder how the staff is treated. I think here is a good a place to investigate.

"The princess does not want to be disturbed." Ponietta replied to him. "If you must, she is available this morning." It was the truth. Ruby was sleeping like a baby. "I will tell her this morning that you would like to converse to her." Ponietta added. "It's 2 am. I think you should also have a nap."

As Ticktock was walking to the barracks I thought crossed his mind "Earth ponies are the cause of economic turmoil within the nation" for a moment Ticktock actually believed it but he shook his head associating it with tiredness and walked and lay down in the barracks.

"Madam I am glad  for your concern but I have gone without sleep for much longer then this... But I can wait for her... highness was it?" ooooo royalty, this should be fun. 

He actually couldn't help but smile a bit "how long do you think? And I hope I'm not being rude... In would you let me serve her highness in the morning, you must be awfully tired"  

 

"Don't worry, I'm okay. Talk to her about it."

 

In the morning, Ruby woke up. "Look a note." It said that the visitor wanted to talk to her. The princess pranced downstairs. She sat at the table, Ponietta serving tea for both of them. "So, how was your nap last night?" She handed him the sugar. "Would you like some?"

She handed him the sugar. "Would you like some?"

 

"No thank you." with a polite nod he sipped his tea "And my nap was non existent, but pleasant none the less. But before we go any further, who do I have the pleasure of being hosted by?" he took out his log and quill preparing for notes. And thus we begin our journey...

"Whenever a stranger comes to me in need, I always give them help." She looked over at the earth pony. "It seems that you are in need of assistance." She motioned to her backyard. "I need someone to tame those unsightly trees and the tall grass. Poor Ponietta cannot do such heavy work anymore." She sipped her tea, and placed it back on the coaster. "Perhaps, I can offer you a job."

 

She looked through a third-floor window as the earth pony, who she learned was named Crimson, examined the trees. Ponietta was also there, showing him what needed to be done to the trees. It was an excellent time to implant a thought into him. "The purple unicorn soldier plans to rise up the military ranks so he can stage pogroms against earth ponies."

 

Ponietta pushed the leaves away from one tree, revealling a flower. "The princess would like the foliage that is blocking the flowers to be removed."

I wake up and begin my day as a Colonel of the Pegasus Royal Guard by jumping into my private shower then getting into Uniform. I leave my room and greet my fellow comrades in the mess hall while also grabbing something to eat. I start talking amongst the lower ranks and strike a interesting topic of conversation with one of them.

He shook his head again "...Right... erm um excuse me madam... this is a really random question but do you ever get thoughts that just don't add up? I'm beginning to think this one unicorn is going to stage coup and I know nothing about him.... that doesn't make any sense" he began his work  

 

"I have never experienced such a thing." Ponietta admitted.

 

Ruby Rose watched as Crimson used hedge clippers on a tree. It was an excellent time to implant another thought into him. "I must be the chosen one, saviour of the Earth pony race."

 

She hadn't seen the purple unicorn around recently. However, once she was aquainted with a ponies brainwaves, she could implant thoughts from afar. She lit up her horn to determine the distance and direction that pony was in. She then made a glowing red sphere on the tip of her horn, which contained a lot of magical energy to account for the distance. The thought that she launched into the purple unicorn's head was : "Its in the earth pony nature to be thieves and swindlers."

He dropped his clippers "Ok thats it. Not only does that not make sense but... but I would never think something like that!"  he walked over to Ponietta"Madam... what kind of magic does your lady practice?" Something is up here, its the only thing that makes sense...

Ticktock had got up and was walking around when another thought popped into his head "It's the earth ponies natures to be thieves and swindles" Ticktock shook it off once again and began to patrol the town starting with the palace which he preceded to walk around.

After finishing up in the mess hall I'd take flight to meet up with the Pegasus 105th Recon division over looking the event at the train station. Overlooking the important dignitaries from all backgrounds and places of structural importance she approached and spoke to the Pony in-charge for a update on the situation. He responded with everything being in the clear and going smoothly but had suspicions about a certain Princess using Magic in a Magic restricted zone. I thank the Pony in charge and take into consideration the Princesses behavior. I fly down into the crowd of Ponies and keep an eye on the Princesses suspicious behavior.

He dropped his clippers "Ok thats it. Not only does that not make sense but... but I would never think something like that!"  he walked over to Ponietta"Madam... what kind of magic does your lady practice?" Something is up here, its the only thing that makes sense... 

 

"The princess is an abstract artist." Ponietta said. "She uses her magic to splatter paint designs onto canvas." Ponietta was telling the truth, for Ruby would spend a large fraction of her time splashing paint onto canvas.

 

Just then, Ruby Rose walked into the yard. "I see the trees. They are jagged." She said with a condescending tone. "Perhaps, gardening is not quite your skill. Unfortunately, I have no other tasks available." She sat him down at a porch table. "However, there are job openings, I heard, by the military barracks." She said pointing at a classifieds ad in the newspaper. "It says that they need cleaners to deal with the mold infestation." She signalled to Ponietta. "Hail a cab."

 

The red and black haired princess watched as the poor earth pony got into the cab. A few hours later, she decided to implant a vision into him. The vision that was implanted was that: There was a pink female earth pony, injured in gruesome ways. Her blood was seeping into the concrete.

As ponies were walking around minding their own business and no suspicious behavior seemed to be happening I relaxed a bit more. Suddenly a crowed gathered around something and there were lots of gasps and shocked expressions. I fly up to get a aerial view on the event and to my surprise a pony was lying dead with a knife in his/hers back. I quickly call for back-up and they quickly descend from the sky. We control the crowd and back them away from the dead body, I look at the body closer and notice a strange green substance on the blade. I keep my distance and leave this to a investigator. I tell the investigator everything I know and get back to regular patrol as the local guard take over the situation.

Eventually Princess Ruby Rose learned about the death. Ponietta came up running to her. "Ma'am, my neice, Foaletska, was brutally murdered." Ponietta was tearful.

Ruby comforted her. It's okay. She used her magic to implant a thought into her. "Foaletska is now happy in heaven, free from all suffering." The thought seemed to calm Ponietta a bit. "I'm so sorry." Ruby cried.

 

Afterwards, when Ponietta went downstairs to mope alone, Ruby Rose decided it was an excellent time to implant another thought into Crimson's mind. "The recent stabbing of a young earth pony was by that purple unicorn soldier."

As the day came to an end and the train station started to clear up of important ponies I yawn and head back to camp. On my way back I am joined by some fellow Pegasi Royal Guards, we discuss today's events. I get back to camp with swore hooves and a swore back, I head to my quarters to wash up and then rest. I take off my helmet and heavy armor and throw them on my quarters floor. I run myself a warm relaxing bath to help unwind my body. As I lay in the tub I begin to think back to the times I first met General Lightning Spear. Lightning was a strict leader for someone that was as in-experienced as me. I'd always remember his harsh beatings in the stormiest of weather. He'd push me to my limits and expect more on top of more out of simple me. He'd always seem to pick on me as if he had some kind of assurance that I was special or a chosen one. Either way, he trained me well and I will respect him for that. I sometimes wish he'd just swoop me off my hooves and take me somewhere romantic. I wish I had the courage to express my deep feelings for him but it's not in my nature and it would just be awkward. I come out of my thoughts and get ready for bed.

Lightning spear sat on his chair, in his office. He had a lot of paperwork to do "Well, here comes the most entertaining part of the day" Said Lightning with sarcasm. He eventually made it to the middle of the stack, when a soldier burst through the door "General! You must come to the town square, there has been committed a murder!" Shouted the recruit. Lightning cursed under his breath "I will be right there!" Shouted Lightning, and flew over to the scene. "My god, who would commit murder in the broad daylight!? " Shouted Lightning

What the heck is going on here...All of these strange thoughts that don't make sense. A murder out of no where...What kind of weird place is this?... He sighed. The royal he had been talking to had answered none of his questions and had used him like a common house servant. Taking a deep breath he decided that perhaps it was time to pay his respects to the King

Ruby Rose watched as ponies were walking towards the town square three blocks away. She saw a blue pegasi colonel walk away from the incident. She focused on him and implanted a thought into him. "The green fluid meant that Lime-Tears poison was used, a classified lethal weapon that only the unicorn military has access to."

 

However, she had not seen Crimson walk past. She needed to get him to go into town square. So, she implanted a thought into him that would surely work. "The bakery by town square is having a large sale. I should go buy some bread and cake."

Hmm, that green stuff on the blade earlier today, it seemed like something the Unicorn Military has access to. I get out of bed and look out my quarters window. I start to ponder, why was a Military Grade Unicorn forbidden Weapon used to murder a innocent pony. I continue to look out the window and Lightning Spear fly's past with tremendous speed. He is soon followed up by some Pegasus Royal Guard for his protection. I should probably go too, I put on my gear on and storm out my Quarters following my Generals trail. 

 

Lightning stood, and thought for himself The murder was committed with a knife... Not just a standard knife, a knife used by unicorns, in the unicorn platoon... Lightnings eyes widened ​Could we have a traitor among our ranks? Thought Lightning with a frown. He looked up, and saw Colonel Sky knight landing next to him. Lightning smiled "Ah, my must trusted comrade. Glad that you showed up!" Exclaimed Lightning with a confident grin
