Lightning stood, and thought for himself The murder was committed with a knife... Not just a standard knife, a knife used by unicorns, in the unicorn platoon... Lightnings eyes widened ​Could we have a traitor among our ranks? Thought Lightning with a frown. He looked up, and saw Colonel Sky knight landing next to him. Lightning smiled "Ah, my must trusted comrade. Glad that you showed up!" Exclaimed Lightning with a confident grin

"Hello sir, I see you have discovered the killing today." I walk along side Lightning. "I believe the weapon used to kill this pony was of the Unicorn Military branch. Should we tell the local guard about this or do we contact the Unicorn Royal Guard?" This seems fishy almost like it was staged to get a reaction out of us. Shouted Lightning with authority in his voice "Sky knight, you will report this crime along with the evidence, to the general of the unicorn legion. If they don't let you in, show them this" Said Lightning while giving her his signature seal, that resembled a spear with a lightning bolt through it "This seal shows them, that you are sent by me" Said Lightning. He then walked towards Crimson quill. "Excuse me sir, may i have a word with you?" Asked Lightning as politely as he could

"Oh um yes..." ​Look who it is, my rude solider friend, wonder what he has to do with this...

"But what is it you need, hasn't a murder transpired? Wouldn't that concern your time rather then some random unknown pony?" Well if nothing else maybe he knows about the strange thoughts... doubt it but maybe.

"Yes sir." I salute to General Lightning and begin my solo journey to the Unicorn Barracks. So I am looking for a General Kivil of the Unicorn Guard. I arrive at the Unicorn Guard Camp and begin scouting around for General Kivil. I start asking Unicorn Guards for Kivils where a bouts and they tell me she went on a mission the last they saw of her. I wounder what "mission" she's on and if it has relation to the recent public killings. I wait at Kivil's Office in hopes she might return soon but minutes turned into hours as I wait.

"Make up for it?... Well no harm no foul really. But I must ask you. Do your citizens find that they get strange a bizarre thoughts out of no where? I for one am getting thoughts about a certain purple unicorn and how he's a murderer... but it just doesn't make sense."

Lightning was relieved, that the guy was a good sport. Wait a second... Random thoughts out of no were? Oh god, please no Lightning looked at Crimson "Have you talked to a princess called Ruby Rose? If so, then i might have an answer for your problem" Said Lightning

"She took me in for the night, I was going to ask her some questions but well she just sorta threw me out. But yes I have met her... she tied to the strange thoughts I assume?" So, we have an somewhat evil magic user... great this should be fun actually. "If so, then what can be done?"

"Well, my friend. She can implant thoughts in to people. Which is why you probably think about something random." Lightning looked thoughtful for a bit "As for how to stop it... I really don't know. She usually toys with some random ponies, and then stops, when she has had enough." Explained Lightning "But if you get random thoughts don't listen to them, i think she will eventually stop." Princess ruby Rose overheard the converstation via her maid's reports. "Ma'am, there have been rumours about you."

"Whatever, lets drive out of here." She got in a limo with her chauffeur. Some ponies were following her on the highway. She got her chauffeur to go faster. She then struggled to power her magic to implant a long vision into many ponies. As the limo was about to make a turn left on the highway, she released the vision. For ten minute, all ponies around but not in the limo, saw the limo as if it were turning right and moving quickly.

Lightning shook his head "The guy is right, while i appreciate you trying to defend the guards honor, and such"."I don't tolerate threats from the guards to the innocents" Lightning sighed "I can't punish since you aren't in my legion" He then looked at Crimson "I'm sorry on the guards behalf, this will not happen in the future"

"Right. But is something going to be done about that mind manipulating royal? Or are you just going to let her get away with it. sir I am of the mind that no one is above the law. Aren't you?" This is place is fraught with corruption... something must be done and if they don't act I will. He waited for a response

Lightning thought about it. He then with a steel glace looked at Crimson. "If you can create a distraction, or something along the lines of that, then i'll be able to sneak in, and assasinate her." Lightning shook his head "Can't believe that i'm going to assasinate a princess, but it has to be done"

He laughed " Oh you soldier types are sure funny. Tell me have you ever heard of the word reform? We can't just kill her like a bunch of vigilantes. Where's the justice in that. We must confront her and give her a chance to repent of her ways. And perhaps some jail time would be good for her as well"

With no sight of the Unicorn General showing up I decide to return to my barracks. I get to my Barracks and lay on a cloud and think to myself. I wonder why the General didn't show up, I wonder if something happened to him. I should probably tell General Lightning but he seems to have a lot on his plate right now. I look into the blue sky and continue to think of something I could say to Lightning.
