general questions Could my username be changed on forums?

 I'd like to have part of my username changed both in the username display, and in the account/log in, from Knowledge to Kane,

 

 Could the site staff do that easily, or is that something that is too difficult to alter?

Go to you're settings, go to "Display Name" and then you just change it!. Hope this helped.

Your username is your username- your login name will not change without good reason, and probably never will, sorry to say. Even I'm still signing in with a username that reminds me of how new I once was forever ago. >.<

 

However, you may change your forum name. When you go into your profile, hit the edit profile button that on the top of the screen. From there, on the tabs at the side, there will be a tab that says 'Display Name.' Click this tab to be taken to the area you are looking for.

You can change your display username within MLPF.

 

I don't think you can change your Poniverse username due to the technological issues that could occur if you did so.

It would be nice if we could but like Magos has said, it'll stay with you from the stone age. Also if we could alter it like you're saying It would be sort of like Google Plus where you can change your name to whatever. That can be confusing at time with two people of the same name so best bet is to be thoughtful about your choice of Username when you sign up. I think your Username is just fine, very unique.

We are using the usernames to forge links between the websites. Like most services, we will probably never allow changing a username. We might consider allowing people to log in using a display name, but that lowers security. I'll see if we can get something going.
