midnight looked in the fridge and pulled out the bottle, then reached up and grabbed acouple of glasses, thankfully they werent too high up, but his body still gnawed at him, telling him to stop with all the movement.

he bit his tounge keeping quite and sat there shaking for a moment, waiting for the pain to go away.

Overdrive tried to imagine the feeling of a cloud, but gave up after a few tries. "guess it's more fun not knowing" he mused. "just one other thing that I was wondering, what was it like to be a royal guard?". He realized that it might be a touchy subject for her and added, "if you don't mind talking about it"

 

*Schwartz sighed.*

"No, its okay."

*She thought for a second.*

"Being a royal guard is like being a member of a family that relies heavily on trust. All of my most treasured memories come from my time as a guard, falling in love, then losing her to that horrible incident....."

*She looked away for a second holding in her tears.*

"My brothers and I were required to enlist, but Im glad we did, even though I carry some regret in my heart. We started out pretty high in the rankings, being Luna's adopted children and all, but nopony really expected us, especially me, to rise to such high positions on skill alone. We went through the training, learned our place, and we each got assigned our squads. It felt great knowing that there was finally somewhere I belonged. Where I fit in. But then, I lost it all, in the blink of an eye, it was gone."

*Schwartz couldnt hold her tears in any longer. She collapsed into Overdrive's arms and started sobbing.*

Electrobolt looked over to Midnight and frowned when he saw Midnight having trouble with getting the juice poured. He stood up and walked over to Midnight and whispered to him, "Hey... Go ahead and rest... I can handle everything else for now, ok? You should let your body heal up..." After whispering to Midnight, Electrobolt took the glass and the bottle, then poured the juice into the glass. "I'll be alright, so don't worry about me..." he added, sneaking in a little kiss before returning to the table with the juice.

*She thought for a second.*

Midnight smiled gratefully and snuck in a return kiss of his own before slowly making his way back to the table, "t-thank you."

he began to eat again, and with the help of alex, it made his body shake less, so he could at least act like he wasnt in that much pain at the moment.

"shhhhhh. Hey now... You did what you could, right?" overdrive crooned as he gently rubbed her back, right between the wings (comfortingly, not sexually). "don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened". He looked down at her with a reassuring smile. "I'm sure she was beautiful."

"Bu it wasnt just that, she was kind, smart, witty, and more, and I led her and all the others to their deaths. I could have saved them, but I was a coward, I ran. I broke the code of honor and trust that we all held so dear. And the worst part, was the look in her eyes as I fled, such a look of love and hatred, betrayal, the eyes of one with a broken heart. But still I fled, broken and bleeding, until I was free from the darkness of the ancient tomb. But I wasnt free, that darkness comtinues to haunt me to this day....."

Electrobolt smiled as he saw Midnight eating, before taking another bite of his own omelet. "It's quite alright," he replied after his mouth was empty. He noticed Midnight was still shaky, but not so much. At least he was sitting down at the table, so his mind was at ease. But then, his mind wandered back to seeing Midnight and Scopes out by the cliff. "By the way..." he began. "How did you find out Scopes was about to jump anyways...?"

Midnight blushed, "i-its something of a sense, i have....l-like pinky sense, b-but this is a little diffrent, i-im not sure how, but it led me to the cliff, i saw him jump and knew i only had one chance, so i unwrapped my wing and jumped myself..."

he looked down "kind of a stupid idea in retrospect, but it worked, i managed to catch scopes inches from the ground, with how much good that did me." he lightly rubbed his freshly broken wing.

he sighed, "at least he didnt jump again."

Letting out a sigh, Electrobolt responded, "Yeah, I'm glad he didn't try to jump again..." He looked to the side, still remembering the moment he had seen earlier. "I... I just wish I had been there sooner though... Had I been there earlier, then... Maybe this wouldn't have happened..." A small tear began to form in his eye, as he remembered the scene where Scopes had just walked off the cliff.

Overdrive swayed her back and forth, and started singing. (Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls). He gave her a sad smile when he finished and gently wiped the tears from her eyes.

*Scwartz looked into Overdrive's eyes again, once again seeing the kindness in them. She smiled back at him.*

"Could you, stay here with me tonight? Just, comfort me in case my old nightmares come back. Please?"

 

(Gotta go to bed now. This is not sexual at all, she just wants him to sleep in the same bed as her, to sleep in the comfort of his arms. No sex. So Ten, I want you to hold to this while you have control until I return. Goodnight everybrony.)

midnight slowly approached, making sure he wasnt shaking and wiped electroboltss tear away, "hey, you did something, tried to catch him, couldnt have asked for more then that." he smiled and gave electro a soft kiss on the muzzle, then smiled and hugged him tightly.

"mabey you helped my sense a bit." he added with a small smile

Electrobolt looked up to Midnight and let out a small smile. "You think so... Huh...?" He then gave another light kiss to Midnight as he hugged him tightly too. *I'm lucky to have you, Midnight...* he thought, his face turning a bright shade of red.

Cloud woke up to see Lovely still fast asleep, he smiled as he looked at her sleeping figure. He quietly rolled out of the bed and walked out of the room, he could smell omelets being made and his stomach began to growl. He walked in saying "Sup guys, someth-..." But he froze as he saw Midnight and EB... Cuddling and blushing. At first he could only look wide eyed and with his mouth hanging open, then without saying a word, slowly walked backwards out of the kitchen and into the living room where he sat on a chair, eyes still wide with shock and surprise.

Midnight smiled, "of course, i dont lie." he smiled, and cuddled into electro, then noticed somepony entering the room,

"hey guys, someth-..." midnight blushed brightly but didnt break away, and tilted his head as cloud slowly backed out of the room.

"huh.....i thought they.....oh..." he hid his face and laughed a bit, though it hurt to laugh, "he and lovely were upstairs all day."

Overdrive nodded and tucked her into bed, sliding under the covers shortly afterward. He laid on one half of the bed, Schwartz on the other. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, so he just kept his hooves to himself and began to drift off.

Just then, he felt Schwartz snuggle up against him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. He smiled softly and turned to face her so he could wrap his arms around her. Schwartz sighed contentedly and drifted off to sleep, overdrive quickly following her.

(I'm done posting for tonight, probe gonna lurk for a while before I go to sleep.)

Electrobolt noticed Cloud backing away but instead of backing off, he stayed there as he let a light laugh escape. "Guess we shocked him, huh?" he finally asked. When he heard that both Cloud and Lovely were in bed together, he simply chuckled. "I guess they have a thing for each other, huh?"

midnight smiled "yeah, i believe so, i think it might take a bit to break him out of his shock."

midnight smiled and nuzzled electrobolts cheek with his own then blushes, "guess not many ponies are used to...." he swallowed hoping electro didn't mind him saying this "colt cuddlers."

Electrobolt chuckled when he saw Midnight blush and feeling shy when he mentioned the term colt cuddlers. "I guess not... Heh..." was all he replied, still smiling and blushing himself, nuzzling with Midnight.

midnight miled and looked at their almost empty plates, leaving the other two which were still hot for the others in case they wanted one, "come on, lets go see if we can snap him out of it." he smiled and waited for electro, not wanting to be the first out, since he needed electrobolts help to walk straight.

"Hahah, alright," Electrobolt responded with a smile. He began to walk alongside with Midnight, helping him to move since he knew Midnight was still not feeling very strong right now, and he needed the support. "You ready?" he whispered into Midnight's ear, still approaching Cloud.

Midnight nodded and whispered back "ready as ill ever be." as they came out into the living room,

"hiya cloud," he smiled nervously, then looked at electro, then back at cloud, "heh....i....we know your in shock about what you saw."
