Summer Wish 102 August 24, 2015 Share August 24, 2015 (edited) So perhaps it's just a 90s nerd like me falling in love with redheads like Demona and Washuu, but has any other pony noticed the major lack of this primary mane color in the show? I can only think of Twist, off the top of my head. Torch song and cherry jub, any pony else? Is the color red, too masculine for a little girls show? IronM17 5,805 August 24, 2015 Share August 24, 2015 (edited) Apple Bloom has a red mane. Other I know are Tree Hugger, Babs Seed, Sunset Shimmer and Moon Dancer. And when I look into the MLP Wiki I found four other mares with red manes. Two from the Apple Family named Candy Apples and Peachy Sweet, an Unicorn named Cherry Spices and a pegasi named Strawberry Sunrise. I recall these ponies having red in their manes: Apple Bloom Apple Bottoms Apple Bumpkin Apple Dumpling Babs Seed Big Wig Candy Apples Cherry Jubilee Cherry Spices Flim and Flam Golden Glory Half Baked Apple Happy Trails Moon Dancer Peachy Sweet Sew 'n Sow [Granny Smith's Mother] Sourpuss Starburst Strawberry Cream Strawberry Ice Strawberry Sunrise Sunset Shimmer Torch Song Tree Hugger Twist These all include red of some kind in their manes and have names. I wouldn't say that red looks ugly on ponies (ok, red is one of my both fave color, the other is black), but it must match to the color of the fur. And a lot of mares have soft colors.
