If MLP has a future (with the current style of the shows Generation) Glim-glam and Shim-sham are the future. I see ZERO REASON TO HATE ON Glimmy. Don't get me wrong, Gen-4 has rocked the WORLD. The Mane-6 (Rarity!) have changed my adult life. But I am not foolish enough to say "Well with the movie coming out later this year, lets wrap up the show and put it away in the attic." I want more MLP, 1, 5, 10 years from now. I have been a "Brony" since 1989 (yes even in gen-3.5) I won't fade away with some of the fans and I will NOT spit on the future that we see in Glims. What I am trying to say...I like her. Alot. DHX is making the right steps towards the future with her and Sunset, they get a hoofs up from me. ...but no one replaces Rarity and Aria...."foooooooooooorever!" :glares at Pinkie:

The worst thing? The utter lack of the awesomeness that is Sour Sweet and Ra-ra-ra talking it up at the Mall in the new specials. All I need is Aria to show up and my Waifu trio is complete in EQG land. Side bar: GLIM GLAM!!! You look amazing Darling! I need your jeans in my life!

Lets face it, we all swooned over Sonata Dusk in 2014. Many more of us became enthralled by the haunting beauty of Adagio. But the question is, are you on board the Blaze-train? Aria is the 90s gal I feel I deserve in my Waifu harem, who agrees? Give the purple grump some love!

Yes...yes, YEEEEEES! I have LONG awaited the day to see Celestia fall. Not because I will ill of her (she is best princess after all). Let me put it this way, Daybreaker showing up made a 34 year old man leap up in his office chair and cheer at the top of his lungs at a 6 figure a year law firm. Suffice to say, I am SUPER happy...now to get wifey to rolepl...I mean...cosplay this for the next Bronycon...yes, that is what I ment..cough. Season 7 is going great! Thank you DHX! Now, moar Rarara!

Let me start off as any good Brony, the MLP movie this fall is going to be siiiiiiiiiick! But an odd part of me, well...I really want another EQG film. I know, I know piggy as I am I want both. Does any pony else feel this way? Has the power that is Shim-sham really effected the fan-base that much so go through withdrawal? I NEED MORE SUNNY-BUN IN MY LIFE! Lol, ok jokes aside, here is my concern. Does any-pony else feel like this is sorta a betrayal of the original fan-dom that we all fell in love with? (for myself personally this way back when i was six years old in 1989 with Gen1, but any who).

What can I say, I love the Dazzlings. Aria has become a center focus for me, she s the 90s women I need in my life. And sundagio is best ship...that said. I have to say LoE. loE, was a COMPLETE film. I am in love with it, and Raritys line (best pony/human) of "you are a light darling, a force for good!" Was way to real when I was reborn as a.soldier of the light and a warrior of god, I felt my waifu was talking to me, lol. That aside, I loved RR for really only two things , that Dazzlings and sunsets struggle. The theme of these films IS sunset shimmer. These films WILL keep getting better as long as she is the focus, the moment she is taken from center stage, its all over. Also, the songs....the freaking songs....so good. And I do enjoy Rarolitys massive development from 1 to 4...hug her An, Rarijack is real!

Kaumi Evans KILLS every song she sings, period. So thus, Rarity, hoofs down! Sure the others have a spark to them, a twang or a trill. And Sunny gets that low bass that makes me cross my legs. But when Rarity hits (Kasumi), I just feel lost in the a sea of bliss for a few minutes. It is so classical and yet haunting.

Face it, Sci-Twi's song has been the cheery on top of Ingram's legacy. IMO he hit every note from start to finish and dont ANY of you dare to compare it to ANY of Disney Princess songs. So! Lets get some for every pony who cried at this scene in the film...and if you havent seen the film yet, what is wrong with you! Get the internet nerd!... :-o Yes that means you Twilight!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaand we get this topic... "It's for little girls?" Really? Well guess what? I-DONT-CARE! I have loved MLP since 1989, that includes all the horror that was Gen3.5.

God save me (again! never enough surrendering going on!) but I love that song!! Anyways, to the main topic! So as the lyrics state, we all (if not a few or a million) have fallen for the Dazzlings. All of them, or one in particular. So they are left out of this topic! But whom else have you just fallen in love with in the EQG world. While not in a romantic sense, I have just fell for Bulk Biceps. He was so laughable and just great to watch in LoE. And of course Rarity (FOREVER RARITY!), her role has grown so much since EQG. Sure she still does the fashion thing, but I can almost TASTE the Shipping of Rarijack these days. Any pony else, thoughts?

Rarity: Forever my Goddess, not waifu mind you that spot belongs to Aria. But someone to worship and bow down too. Sunset Shimmer: Over rated? Buck right off! She is amazing. What can I say I got a thing for the tom boy chicks. AppleJack: Just so she can be married with Rarity and forever in love....damn you head canon! :watchs LoE: ....................Ok the shipping! I would sell my soul for more Aria, just a few full sentances, some sort of personality quirk, a pony tail hair flip.....ARIA NOTICE ME!

I LOVE this topic. Basic run down for why bronies draw the EQG girls as they do. IMO!! Sunset: The tough biker chick type. Many view her as Hispanic and often when not using her normal color give her that skin tone. Folks from that region of the world, often are wide hiped, shorter, narrow shouldered. Many fan writers balance this for Sunsets love of the leather, it hides her lean upper body and shows off her rear end. Sci-Twi: Your typical college nerd. Right? Right! Many artists draw her as a 19 year old with the freshmen 15 added on. Ie the white girl who just moved away from home, never really went outside, now even more so staying indoors. Rarity: Oh Rarara how I love you! But let us not ignore the fanart of her pixie thin and often Indian or black. Her figure reflects nourishment and hints at eating disorders all the time. Many artists draw her like this, but ironically most flip the switch and draw her heavily over weight, showing her depressive eating patterns (ice cream/couch gooooooooo!) AppleJack: What can you say about AJ? She is drawn like a amazon. For good reason. Look at he family blood line and then think about what she does for 8 hours a day after school. She busts her hump and carries around baskets that easily weigh 80-90 lbs. So drawing her tall, thick in bicep and shoulder, and overly developed hips is common. (The big butt is clearly a reference to AJ from the MLP series, all that bucking = big upper legs) and commonly given a white girl tan, adding to the "southerness" of this character. Rainbow Dash: Often drawn short and ripped, at least for a female. RD also very often suffers from the white facing job. Her spunk is what gives her the low altitude in height, often the smaller creatures in nature at the loudest. The muscles and abs are clearly from her sports work. Also she is often drawn as the most under developed (in the hips, boobs, rear) area's. I often think she binds her chest, clearly a bit of Haruka Tenou in this character...google it nerds! Pinkie Pie: What is there to say, she eats alot and is often drawn pump and heavy. Oddly this suits her look, the jolly fat girl without a care in the world. I like many artists view on her. Pinkie when given human skin tones (ie like the rest, not from the films) is the most diverse, most often I see her with a black girl appearance. Flutter shy: And last and most certainly least, we have big boobs mcgee. As stated above Fluttershy is a lover not a fighter, a shy little moth hidding near a light. She nurtures and raises, if she was a bit older, I would call her a breeder. Many fan work gives her large bosom in the reference to milk laden, ie she is feeding young. She also suffers from the boredom of being just another white girl in most art. Again, all imo.

Okay woah, woah. Before every pony puts on they're Rarity glasses, let me explain. The human5 wore, mostly the same things in EQG and RR, as did Sunset (save for the lose of her cutie mark then getting it back at the end, trust me, it happened, great subtle stuff). But come FG we have Sunny's BEST OUTFIT...EVER! And also Sci-twi in her school uniform. And finally come LoE (spoilers)...we get Camp outfits!!! For every pony! Now yes I am not including formal,rocker,games, or power ranger outfits, just the base "looks." DHX is making a KILLING on these movies, hell if it wasnt for 2017 mlp movie (squeeee!) we would get EQG5 for sure (still want a tv series...like NOW!). They are clearly working on they're puppets and models and it shows! Sunny has become the Icon for EQG, she is a fan favorite old and young, that is clear. So while her getting new threads all the time is SO COOL! I would love to see the other girls in other stuff. AJ In some jeans would be great. Dash in a jersey of some kind, killer! Rarity well, who are we kidding, she always looks drewl worthy (those hips!) Fluttershy..put on some sleeves! Pinkie, for some reason I picture her with that 80s girl look, the one with the sweater that hangs over one shoulder and down the bicep a bit, not sure why. What do you ponies think?

I honestly do not see the similaritys, at least not too the point of calling them "the same pony.". Rainbow is a ego hyped up jock with a heart of gold and desire to see every pony around her be as awesome as she knows she is. AJ is a stubborn mule headed traditionalist that wants nothing but the best for her friends and family and would die to see them safe. Them both being tomboys, not enough. Them both speaking with husky femine voices, not enough. And the two of them both being competitive, isnt enough either.

I want Sunset to return to Equestria for the S6 finale, to be part of the "Glimmy Squad". That said... DO NOT GO BACK TO EQUESTRIA SUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her going back would ruin every single thing she has built, become, and lived as alone in the human world. Real people go through this. They move away from home, to a big city or another state/county/whatever. Get a job that takes 90% of there focus. Start a family that soon they value over there old one, and if and when they "go home" to raise said family, or moved for said job, they are initially happy. Then beyond depressed. What you had, you can never have again. Everything in life is a one time moment. Every friend, every kiss, ever phone call, heck every cab ride, only happens once. Her going home would be the single most ruinous thing to be done to the EQG universe. She NEEDS to stay where she is, she NEEDS to keep building, keep fighting and have her OWN life. She also needs to hook up with Adagio...cough

okay...okay..okay.. Before I start, hold your flames untill the end! I (professionally) am a Teacher of Military History. That being said, often my mind slips to military terms on things. Video games, novels, or just films or shows that have nothing to do with the army or armed services. I have often found myself when writing FIM fiction, to think in these terms when thinking of the girls (pony or human). And I thought, hey, for funzies! Lets ask the forums! So! In your opinions, if the girls where to serve or be part of the Military, what roles would best suit them? Go ahead and add other characters besides the mane-7. (Vinyl, Bonbon, etc) To start us off: Sunset Shimmer: Honestly I picture her with her head out of the turret of a tank. As a tank commander I feel her inter-personal skills and leadership would be of a confined and directly useful space. She has a commanding presence and a deep voice that would carry well over an intercom and a sharp mind for details and split second decision making that a armored commander should have to survive if not carry out the mission in good order. Rarity Belle: With her trap like mind, a logistics officer to be sure. She has the inner workings of someone who not only thinks of things to death that are directly infront of her, but analyzes those that are days away or days past. She would be the sort to know exactly where every-single shell, round, and MRE is going on the line or in the rear. Applejack Apple: While my love for AJ (she is second best pony after all) wishs me to hold her in high regard in terms of an officer role or other wise. The natural bulk I assume a humanoid Applejack would have due to her life style, breeding and daily caloric intake. She would serve well as a MG or heavy in any foot based ground unit. Not that this role isnt held in high esteem in the military, trust me, it is. But to be blunt, she is a ground pounding mud chewer to be sure. Principle Luna: Every time I watch the movement, chossen way of speaking and in general interaction with others from this character in the EQ films, all I see is - state side General. The back row leader type to make choices based on numbers and not personal. A vital role to be sure, one that often gets ignored by history. ^----Just a few examples!

Honestly I have written an entire fanfiction (on going!) about what the Sirens are up to several years (seven) down the road from the end of RR. Summary for those who cant check the link at the bottom: Adagio- Married to Sunset Shimmer Aria- became and MMA fighter only to get married and settle down Sonata- in a relationship with Rarity (bug off haters! I like the ship!) In short I really think the girls (Sunset) find the Sirens, half starved and suffering from exposure. Take them in, help them out, several years of trials and pains later and we got relationships and drama. With my fic I took a realistic approach to story and physical apperance of the girls, but also mixed in a good bit of magic, for funzies!

You know what WAS used in RR?....Siren hips!! Enough said! But in all honesty, the budget was not there for additional puppets. Dhx had no idea we as a fan base would blow that movie out of the water in comparison to our lucwarmness towards the first film....bring back Aria!!!!
