This is my first real practice at drawing ponies! (So please excuse the sloppy hoofwork!)

 

But as I become more and more of a pegasister, I figured I should start trying to get some actual MLP artwork done! I just messed around with Corel to get a feel for drawing ponies very roughly, starting with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy! I wanted to do the mane six, but I quickly found out they wouldn't fit... I definitely think Rainbow turned out the best...and Fluttershy the worst... <,<

 

I also figured that this could kind of count as an art thread for me to post random pony-related pics!

I think your Rarity is the best of them, with near perfect anatomy even though, as you said, the actual drawing looks a bit slacked. The lines are lazy and the colors flat, though it has it's own unique charm.

If this is your first attempt at pony creations, I'm thoroughly impressed! Albeit I am easily amused so take that with a grain of salt. Being a brony has likewise inspired me to create. However my medium is narrative as I've recently discovered. My first creation will likely not be as well received as this but hey! Ars gratis artis!
