While I am not new to the site, I'm new to accepting I'm a brony. Not going to lie, I did this as a Journalist project in school where I was to dive inside something I dislike and write about it from a neutral angle. So I did and that's what brought me here.

Anyways, you guys were super nice, everyone I talked to was incredible and You guys really won me over. I decided to give the show a watch and dang is it addicting. As a general pop culture geek I can appreciate the references and whatnot.

 

I'm going through a bit of a difficult time in life where those dreams you once had are fading and it is nice to see a show that is positive and uplifting. Also, the animation is superb for this show. I love the characters, the light-hearted feeling, and the general positivity.

Heck, this show motivated me to pick myself back up and pursue those dreams. As a guy who loves and has always dreamed of working in animation, I can proudly say I'm in application with DHX Media,the company behind this show.

 

I bought my first Brony t-shirt last week to add to my ever-growing geek t-shirt collection. This was also my first public display of being a Brony. Only one person knows yet (I live 100 km away from anyone I know, besides my wife), but this is a great way to just get out there and like what I like. I figured if I could wear a Star Wars t-shirt because I like Star Wars, then it's ok to wear a My Little Pony t-shirt because I like My Little Pony.

Too bad I have this revelation 1 week after BronyCAN. Next year, I guess.
