movies/tv Does the animation fandom obsess over certain TV shows too much?

It seems these days there are certain animated shows that are either overpraised (MLP, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe etc.) to the point of obsession or criticised to the point of obsession (e.g. Teen Titans Go). MLP and Gravity Falls I both really like, but there are other good shows in existence. I've seen around 15 episodes of Steven Universe and save for a few episodes I personally found most of it boring. I've seen very little of Teen Titans Go but what I have seen it looks stupid but occasionally funny. I haven't seem the original Teen Titans either so can't really get mad at it for that reason.

Can't really say anything about that, but what i kind of noticed is that people like to make comparisions between the 3 and say "MLP/GF/SU is so much better then MLP/GF/SU." There used to be a time where we just watched cartoons and enjoyed the worlds of it.

 

I love My little Pony and Gravity Falls. But i would never put one of them, over the other.

I guess some people can obsess to much over certain shows, like everything would suck besides their favorite shows.

But these are often just kids, people who just want attention or trolls.

 

I never really seen an real fan, obsessing over something to much. 

And that someone says gravity falls would be better than mlp, isnt the same as being obsessed.

They just like one show more than the other, dont see anything wrong with that
