How advanced is teleportation?

Twilight teleports all the time and as far as i remember, Rarity has never used a teleportation spell in the show and in fact, i don't remember Rarity using any other magic besides simple levitation. (not including Inspiration Manifestation, since i really don't consider it her own magic)

At least by the roleplay community, teleportation is usually considered high-level magic- It takes years of study to make sure your insides are in the right places after the teleport, after all!

 

Twilight's cutie mark, after all is the practice of magic in all of its forms. It's a gift, and, honestly, if you remember from the show, she was quite a bit frazzled after the first few times we see her do it. It's probably an energy-intensive trick that only certain specialists can perform; Twilight can ignore this rule because not only does she eventually get used to it, but her special talent is magic itself.

Definitely advanced. The only other pony I can recall ever seeing do it is Celestia at the end of Lesson Zero. And of course Discord does it. But as far as regular unicorns go, it seems like the type that requires a special talent.

Despite what lots of bronies think teleportation has only been used by Twilight and Discord. There does seem to be a learning curve towards learning it and isn't a low level spell.

Indeed, it seems like a pretty advanced spell. Only the magic prodigies seem to be able to use it, like Twilight, Sunset and Starlight. Of course, Discord can too and the other Alicorn princesses probably can, but I don't think I've seen your everyday unicorn do it.
