So, who knows about this on this site?

 

All right, after someone pointed out that they have no idea what this is, I will elaborate:

 

The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a closed-door deal that includes 12 Pacific Rim countries, including the USA and Canada.

 

What does this deal entail? Stricter copyright laws that would ensure the larger corporations the ability to force ISPs to block you simply because you post fan content.

 

You could even lose access to the internet entirely.

 

While it has all of these things for "making the economy better", the thing is that it will drive up prices, especially in Canada, to the point that it will become hard just to buy enough food to last me one week. I'm not paid that well, and this happens.

 

It was silently passed, as every time before, any time they've had transparency, they've encountered opposition. Anyone who has been in those meetings is forbidden, BY THE LAW, to even CRITICIZE the TPP in public. This allows government and corporate officials the leeway to say that "There was no objection" to the TPP.

 

Look it up. I'm not wrong.

 

While this last sentence following this is my personal view on this, and my signature describes how I feel:

 

We're now in a warzone.

 

One that has made us, the innocent, guilty of being fans.

In all honesty though it's things like this that make me really despise some... all governments sometimes all the time.

For those who care I found a petition online that is hopefully legit for what this situation is. I for one want to cosplay with out ending up with hand cuffs slapped on my wrist let alone want to watch you tubers such as markplier

Indeed, the Trans-Pacific Partnership is far worse than you can imagine. It even gives multi-national corporations the ability to sue governments for introducing legislation that harms their profits. No, that is not a jest.

 

We wouldn't even know of the TPP's existence if not for WikiLeaks. There was a legal gag order preventing anyone talking about it until 5 years after it had either been passed or scrapped. Entire deal done in secret because they are literally giving away member nations' sovereignty.

 

Any politician who supports the TPP either didn't read it or is basically admitting to taking massive bribes for it.
