Shorn smiled a bit. He'd stop crying the moment he arrived at the small room, being with Roxy made him more than happy.

"Thanks Roxy, and by the way I don't think that Eris was trying to be mean. I think...he was trying to help me."

Eris not being a total douchebag for once? That's new.

"Even if he does have a strange way of doing it. I probably should get back to class... I don't mean to be rude...I just don't talk to ponies that much." Shorn quickly ran off. He entered his classroom and found a seat. He ignored the professor. It was an introduction to an introduction to magic. Wasn't too important. He spent the rest of the class daydreaming about Roxy.

Eris rolled his eyes as Roxy and Shorn ran off, only to see Shorn arrive back a few minutes later. He was smiling like an idiot, Eris wandered off to find Roxy. "You're harder to get than a lesbian," Eris joked. "Listen, there's this party tonight. Thought you might wanna get acquainted with the other ponies and such. We could go together, I was gunna invite your spaz pony friend too." Eris smiled.

 

Shorn's daydream was disturbed by a mare next to him, her eyes wide in astonishment. "You're friends with Eris?" "He's the coolest colt in the whole world." "Respect dude." "Amazing, what does he see in you?" It appears Shorn's short conversation with Eris sky-rocketed him to popularity.

"Huh?" Shorn heard a mare speaking to him.

Respect? What does Eris see in me?

"I don't really know, and particularly don't care. He's a nice col-"

Mr. Woods suddenly teleported near Shorn. "Ahh, Eris. Great student, but how does he relate to boiling water?"

"He umm doesn't...it was just that we learn about boiling water as kids sir and-"

"You learn how to boil water but not the science behind it."

"Well, there isn't that much science behind it either way. Water is a very polarized molecule which has a strong intermolecular force between it's molecules. We are simply providing energy from our magic and breaking those bonds. Really basic stuff, especially considering we aren't actually breaking the covalent molecules."

"Well, since you seem so knowledgeable about boiling water, would you care to demonstrate such an act?"

"Well...ummm...yeah, I guess."

Shorn arrived at a beaker of water, filled to around 100ml. He focused his magic to the area of his horn. He started providing high amounts of thermal energy to the flasks. After a minute or so the water started to boil, steam visibly rising from the beaker.

"Very good Mr. Horn. You may sit down."

Phew, at least the students know that I'm not incapable of magic. Even so, the conversation steered back to him and Eris.

"So how do you know Eris?"

"Umm. I'm his roommate." The mares in the room let out an audible shriek of glee.

"You must be soooo lucky to have him as your roommate. It must be amazing to have him as your roommate."

Shorn was not accustomed to all this attention and wanted to direct it away from him.

"Well, it certainly is a different experience. You guys should probably start writing."

He proceeded to ignore all the mare's questions about Eris. He began to draw MLH characters. He wasn't very good at them, but he tried his best.

I wonder if there are any new posts to Candy Shop of Horrors. I'll reference MLH by writing about a show called... I got it My Little Pony. That'll be great. I love MLH.

Roxy glared at Eris.

"Fine, I'll go this stupid party. But don't pretend that you're not mean to Shorn."

She sighed and looked around.

Her heart was beating wildly, and she couldn't stop blushing.

God, Roxy. Quit it. He's a total dick!!

She bit her lip.

"You're cute when you're angry." Eris smiled at Roxy. "If I baby him, he'll never learn. He needs to stallion-up eventually right?" Eris winked at Roxy. "Anyway I can't wait to see you tonight." Eris leaned over and kissed Roxy's hoof. Before leaving Eris gave Roxy's his number, incase she needed anything.

Roxy blushed.

"I-I guess...But he's sensitive.."

She watched him walking away, holding his number close to her chest.

God, what am I? A fan girl?!

Roxy sighed and went back to her dorm room.

Clockwork went to Lovely's dorm as it came time for the party to start. He had his new look, as well as a pleasant smelling chologne.

Lovely opened her dorm door no expecting anypony to be there. "Oh!?" She was surprised to see Clockwork. Lovely looked beautiful she has thick braided her man and put wild-flowers in it, there was also a hint of glitter. Lovely blushed, Clockwork looked so handsome for once. "I wasn't expecting you to escort me to the party. It's not that kind of party after all. More informal! But thanks." Lovely smiled, blushing a bit.

Clockwork blushed as he saw how beautiful she looked. "Well, I figured why should we have to go to our first party at the academy alone? I'd love to have the honor of going with you" he said with a smile.

Lovely was excited, she shook her headily happily. And locked arms together, she felt like a princess as they walked together. But Lovely's smiled began to fade to a frown as she remembered Eris would b there, she knew he wouldn't react well.

Clockwork noticed her frown, he looked at her with concern, "Is... everything alright?" he asked.

"uh-uhm of course!" Lovely stuttered. "Just my first party, a little nervous." Lovely and Clockwork entered the party. Ponies gave Clockwork a strange look, nopony recognized him. "Yoh man, who's that guy with your sister?" Somepony asked Eris in the middle of a beer-pong game. Eris looked over and glared at Clockwork. Eris walked over to Clockwork and Lovely.

"Hey sis, what's up?" "Just got to the party." Lovely smiled, "Eris this is my friend." "Friend eh? A friend that wants to buck you?" Eris snarled at Clockwork, not recognizing him at all.

Clockwork smirked at Eris, "Because that seems what is the top priority huh? Seeing which mare you can get in your bed? Were simply friends at a party pal, so don't get your tail in a twist" he said to the stallion. Many of the other listening dropped their jaws and widened their eyes.

Eris sneered, "what was that? You think you're some kind of big shot now? Think you're better than me because you got some skanky hoe on your arm!?"

Clockwork gave a sarcastic smile and used an annoyingly kind voice when he replied "Oh you must be mistaken, there is no hoe on my arm, I only see a beautiful and kind mare. I'm not really sure what you see though, shame you say that about your own sister Eris".

Eris growled. He had enough disrespect. He was drunk and engaged. Eris grabbed Lovely and pulled her behind him. "Ow!" Eris huffed and without thinking began to violently punch Clockwork in the face.

Six fell back at the punch, but he got back up, his smile still on his face, "Aww... wittle Ewis... angwy?" he said as he wiped blood off his nose.

"Eris stop it!" Lovely said sternly. "You don't tell me what to do bitch!" Lovely frowned. "Oh you like that huh? What kind of sick pervert are you?" A crowd of colts started chanting 'fight! fight! fight!' around then as the mares all watched in awe. Eris grabbed Clockwork my the edge and kneed him in the face, "there have some more!"

Clockwork fell onto his back, still smirking, "Wow... that almost hurt..." he said, blood now coming out of his mouth. He stood back up, coughing blood, "Ooh, you so mad ain't ya?" he said chuckling.

Lovely looked rattled with worry, "Clock... please don't do this." She begged, "just apologize." "Clock? As in that bucking nerd faggot?" Eris was red in the face with rage, someponies claimed they saw a vein pop. Eris grabbed Clockwork by the collar. "I'm gunna mash you into fillyfood." Eris spat when he spoke.

Clockwork gave a bloody smile, "Cool story Brony... Please... Tell it again..." he said. Many of the surrounding ponies began to stop cheering, wondering why Eris continued to fight Clock even when he refused to fight back.

"This is awful. It's like watching an innocent lamb be slaughtered by a much bigger human." Lovely said to the ponies around her. There was a silent agreement, this was wrong. Sickly wrong. Eris had had enough of Clockwork's attitude. "Shut up!" He screamed as he threw Clockwork to the ground and began stomping his skull with his back feet. "Eris stop!" Lovely shrieked, but it was too late. Clockwork has been knocked unconscious, his skull was even cracked. "Somepony! Call an ambulance! Quick!"

All Clockwork heard before blacking out was Lovely yelling "Eris stop!!". He tried to stay concious but his mind was fading fast. Soon the pain ebbed away as a calming dark sucked him in.

Lovely fell over Clockwork and began to sob. All the other party guests left before the cops and ambulance showed up, including Eris. Coward. Lovely tried to stop the bleeding until the paramedic's arrived. Lovely had explained there was a fight and they took Clockwork to the hospital on a stretcher. Lovely felt awful, this was all her fault.

Clockwork had no dreams. The whole time he was unconscious he was stuck in some pitch black pit alone. He could only think of Lovely this whole time. He stayed in his comatose state, unable to wake for who knows how long.
