classic horses in MLP

Hey I was thinking for future episodes of MLP, if not Friendship is Magic then in a new show.. Would it be funny as heck if they inserted classic horse characters in the show. Like in one episode have a gray coat horse named ED poped in or heck have Flicka appear once.. But again not sure about coppy right.. But funny as heck

How about the Horse of a Different Color from the Wizard of Oz movie? That could be fun! They could have him a different color in every scene, but have nopony seem to notice except Pinkie. She could do a spit take each time or something.
