Chain looked stressed out about something as he was sitting in the room with the one he was supposed to marry in three days. Chain finally got the nerve to stand up from the bed "I...cant do this anymore. There is nothing wrong with you but I cant do this and let my parents control my life like this anymore. I'm going to my home...you don't even know where it is so its a hiding spot for sure. If you want to know anything more, my parents are in the floor above us, probably listening to this right now. Again this is because I cant do this, its nothing about you" he runs out of the hotel room they were staying in, leaving the mare behind to go to his home in Ponyville. Meanwhile the parents did hear upstairs and were pissed at there son "Celestia why does he have to be so denying after all the things we did for him" his mother complained as the two left the room to go downstairs to see Blue Diamond "I mean why cant he be more like you and accept that your just being used" "hey I wanted money too"

A peculiar feeling drizzled on Blue diamond, Commonly a mare would be devastated after such an occurrence, especially since they were scheduled to be hitched in only three days most mares would give up on love after that. But no such Devastation occurred, Instead Blue Diamond felt somewhat....relieved. Relieved that she didn't have to marry somepony of which she had no desire with, Relieved that He would now be able to live free by himself no longer under the control of his parents. She astonishingly enough, Felt happy for the stallion. She heard a knock on the door it was most likely his parents.

It was from the parents as after a few seconds they barged into the room "that little brat...hello Blue" she said to the pony looking at her "we heard Chain leave so we came here right away to see how you were doing...but there seems to be no tears shed" she was now not as pissed off at both Chain and Blue "don't just stand there, go after Chain and bring him to reason" she said to her husband then he left "you...explain what happened" she glared at Blue

Blue Diamond felt a Pang as she heard the fierceness in the elder mare's voice, The sweltering torridness of her venomous glare practically melted Diamond, Blue let out a squeal. "I-I don't know, He was acting weird all day I suspected it was because the wedding but after he explained why and left I.....I was understanding. Please him let go nether of us really want to have this wedding.....let him be with the mare of his choice." She Implored, Trying not to gaze into the mare's infuriated eyes thinking she would turn to stone from her stare.

"Want? I thought you wanted to be a pro gamer did you not? Well from what I can calculate, you cannot if you are broke or have to be working in some dead end job all the time. I want to give you what you want but first my darling Chain needs a mate that he can count on and you seem like the best fit for him...sorry if I was being forceful but its for the best of both of you" she said in a nicer more deceptive tone as she put her hoof on Blue "Chain just doesn't know were doing it for the better...and I can be a little rough on him which might have caused him to say those things" she smiled at Blue hopping her plan was working

Blue Diamond's ears propped up at the mere utterance of the occupation of her wildest fantasies, Suddenly Diamond's eyes grew immense, she was right. The money that Chain's Parents prearranged to loan her would be enough to get her a contract as a pro gamer, The realization hit her with the force of a battering ram on steroids....But was this really the way to go about it? forcing someone to wed her, someone who prior to only weeks before the scheduled wedding had never even chatted with or for that matter even laid eyes on before......But she desperately needed the money and as Chain's mother said there no possible chance somepony could even contemplate having this type of career without the precious currency, no matter how great you are...No Blue Diamond held firm. "If forcing someone to marry me is what it takes to live my dream then.... Blue Diamond replied, choking on the words she would have to say next. Eventually the words finally found a way out of her a muzzle

 

"I-I-I Gu-gues-*sigh* I guess I won't live my dream then."   The Cobalt Pegasus stammered sorrowful, tears maneuvering down her  cheeks

If I was to give you two a little more time together and he says yes...you will marry him no matter what. We got a deal?" She stuck her hoof out at her as two voices are heard down stairs. "you think I can face her again?" "I think Blue's fine" "yeah...Blue"

Blue Diamond rationalized the offer in her head, After a few minutes of silence The Pegasus stared intently at the hoof presented in front of her. She almost looked as if somepony had stuck out a drug and told her to try it, Like she knew the knowledge of what harm it would bring to herself and those neighboring her that begged her to say no, But the daring risk and potential enjoyment of the metaphorical drug was alluring her to say yes, abruptly she snapped her head up and shook the hoof. 

"Only if he says yes." The Timid Pegasus answered. She hated herself inside for accepting to the non ideal marriage proposal.

"the pony rooting for you is now cheering" she says as Chain and his father come back to the room "I'm back...sorry I bailed" "no need to be sorry, we just worked out a little deal" "what deal?" "Don't raise your voice at me. Anyway we had a deal where we will pose pone the weeding till further notice, and you can call it off at the end of some time with Blue here" "good...feel like I have some control now" "well we will leave you two alone for tonight, we will settle this time frame issue tomorrow because right now we need to call off everything" the parents leave the room. Chain breaths a sigh of relief "you made this happen didn't you? Well I can't see why but I'm tired from running...things got intense" he lied down on the soft bed "its late anyway"

"I did it because would rather be homeless and out on the street, Then being wealthy and living a billion dollar mansion by forcing some to miserable for the rest of there life." She shot back passionately almost savagely. "Ponies deserve freedom you are no exception." Diamond remarked throbbing with emotional torment, she was scarcely able to wrestle off tears. "If you want to end this now...I understand." Tears were flowing freely down her cheeks now. "I highly doubt two ponies can fall in love in a few days."

Chain got out of his single bed and walked to Diamond "maybe not...but that doesn't mean you should be homeless or anything, if things go how I want them, then you and me would be friends working together as partners" he tries to be nice by getting tissues for her "I will go along with it by my own choice, we can see a few things around here and get to know each other. If something happens, it happens. If something doesn't, it doesn't. Seem like a good idea?"

"Yeah...I guess, this just feels so.....distorted. Well as long you feel comfortable then I can try to be as well I suppose."  Blue stated obtaining the tissues Chain extended to her and wiped some of the tears stained her muzzle. The Pegasus took a deep breath, soften the expression on her face and began to speak,  "If we are suppose to get to know each other better we should start now, So um Where are you from? and what do you do for a living?

"I'm from here but moved to Ponyville because, and I quote 'the ponies down there are simple and would love to buy primitive tools'" Chain answers then doesn't even have to think for the second answer "I'm a blacksmith, enchanter, partial alchemist, and flame lightning user...the blacksmith mostly" he thinks of questions as well "I will ask the same question and what friends do you have?"

"I'm an amateur gamer, as weird as it sounds gaming is actually a very favored career choice and a dream job of mine ever since... well since this showed up." Diamond points to her cutie mark. "I love video games with all my heart and soul, when I found out it was a pro sport I went half insane and vowed to be the greatest gamer in all of Equestria." Blue added giggling to herself all the while "However, there's a reason I'm only amateur, To become a pro gamer you must have a sponsor to promote you to the major leagues, Finding a promotion has...proven challenging to say the least. 

Being a mare I'm typically not taken seriously and quickly rejected by most promotions because they don't think mares are any good, If its not that then its because I don't have enough money to join even though I already work three jobs now. 

Hell, I can barely can afford my own house, This whole arrangement would have given me enough bits to afford a sponsor..... yeah, I'm that desperate." A frown started to grow on her face as she stopped talking to think about the next question.

"Other than my brother, I have no friends sadly."

 Diamonds eyes grew wide upon hearing the news. 

 

"R-Really? Thank you so much!" The Pegasus beamed, leaping at Chain tackling him down on the bed, trapping him in her embrace barely leaving Chain any room to breathe. After a few minutes of hugging Blue Diamond let go and laid beside the unicorn, she gave the stallion a small kiss on the cheek as the mare began to talk. "Thank you! You don't know how much this means to me, I haven't been to a convention in years!" She scooted a bit close to chain, "Also, thank you for being a friend, I love my brother and all but there's a reason  I'm not living with him." She hugged him again this time not as firm. "So what do you want to do now? Its been a long day."

Chain could barely grasp what had happened to him in the last few minutes. He was almost hugged to death, kissed and is now being hugged by a mare in bed. "I think I'll just sleep on it...not much to do at night" Chain looked at Diamond "of course I have no idea if you do anything during the night, like late night gaming or something. I'm not a gaming type"

"Not normally I only play at night when I can't go to sleep or I really enjoy the game I'm playing, besides I wouldn't want to disturb your sleep in anyway. Also, it's a shame your not a gamer, I haven't had anyone to play with in a while." Diamond stated. "Not like you would win, but still." The mare added with a small chuckle. "Is there a reason why or is it just not something you like?"

"I never really got the chance because I have a very good job as a metalworker...I missed a lot of things I wanted because of my job and cutiemark" Chain sighed "didn't help that my family shoves that stuff down my throat as if its the one thing in life I should do and only do" Chain looked at the mare huddled with him "I mean I could try to play but practice makes perfect and I have zero practice"

"Well I guess I'm lucky then."  The Cobalt mare sighed. "So not only did your parents....and me force you into marriage but they wouldn't even let you have much of a childhood? Excuse me for saying this but I'm really starting to dislike your parents. Also I'm really REALLY sorry for this." She said not being able to look Chain in the eyes feeling too much guilty "Did you ever try to....run away."

"On impulse at some occasions" Chain responded "didn't get very far a lot of times...most were from stress of working but, believe or not, they made me go into almost the same situation we are in now. My prom and multiple arranged dates happened, my family sucks sometimes" Chain said thinking about the weird and awkward times with others "at least they took care of me instead of neglecting me...I can only think in horror what I might have been like with a neglectful family"

"That's good to hear, At least they care about you...even if they do have a weird of showing it." Diamond conceded a faint yawn as the mare finished her sentence, It was quite late. "I think that's a good amount of talking for one day, I'm fairly tired."  The Gamer commented examining the hotel suite, She appeared in search of an object. "Do you have a blanket?" She questioned.

"Hold on" he gets out of the bed and searches his bag for something that could be used as a blanket "here we are" he says bringing up a fur pelt "I forgot to unpack this bag Banner used on a hunting trip...I hope to Celestia she isn't pissed off to much by that" Chain hands the pelt to her "sorry if its not your sort of thing but its all I have"

"Oh no I completely understand, It's better then most of my blankets." Diamond snagged the Blanket with her hoof and flew to the opposite side of the space landing upon her bed, The mare snuggled the pillows on the mattress as put the pelt over her body. She turned her head. "Good night Chain."  Blue announced before laying her head back down and swiftly falling asleep.

"Good night Diamond" Chain said as he to fell asleep.

 

Chain woke up bright and early as his normal schedule demanded it...but right now was not normal so he woke up very early. Chain saw Diamond still asleep so he decided to map out what would happen that day. Starting with breakfast and then probably the rest of the day at the con. but of course he was going to try and map were they would go since his mind worked like that.
