First Time Drawing OC, Need tips for future drawings

This is my first serious attempt at drawing a pony OC

 

His name is  Chicken Scratch, 

I'd like to know how I could improve for future doodles and If there's anything I should change about him

I really enjoy him! The words in the backround are quite interesting too

Sadly I don't know that much about drawing, though I'm sure you're on the right track!

Well when making a Oc you have alot to think about~

When it comes to ponies Eyes are for the most part everything, they express how the pony is viewed

So try different types of eyes Eyes before picking one 

 

But still I must say, I love that pony XD

Kinda like Prophet said, however, make sure to give your OC one or two unique appearance traits such as eyes and mane (which I'm pretty sure you have), but also study their anatomy and how you want their body shape to be.

 

As for your actual drawing, I think my advice would be just look at some MLP pony anatomy to get a better sense of it. Just because there one or two things that seem a bit off on your drawing.
