Actually, my throat doesn't usually get sore, but I do burn out where I simply can't scream with adequate intensity. The sound won't come out and I have to wait a day to get back into it. Head aches on occasion are super killer, but they're far and few between and I usually know what I did wrong that caused it.

Hydration is key throughout the recording process and then a nice lemonade tends to set me up to keep from getting sore/fatigued/any other adverse effect.

It takes time to learn how to show instead of tell.

 

And from what I've heard from the vocal community, some say that Powerade is good too to keep your throat nice and hydrated.
