Drunkfrank 1,125 January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 I love the Cutie Remark but it pretty much confirmed we will not see Sombra again when you think about it... He literally has the most potential of any villain, he is a being of pure fucking darkness and evil, he is the best villain to tell REALLY dark stories... And now all the potential, of my favorite villain, is gone, I flipped a fucking shit when I saw him in the cutie Remark. But now I am sad and happy at the same time. Happy because we saw him again, sad because It was just a few minutes. I mean, this is only going to make sense for warcraft fans, but imagine if they brought him back for a season long villain, and they replaced the Sauron inspiration, with Arthas: The Lich King. Drunkfrank 1,125 January 6, 2016 Author Share January 6, 2016 I never knew King Sombra like, had fans. Believe it or not, most blind commentators (minority, I know) were actually really excited to see him, and the bronies (like me) who like a more ominous force villain than the one like Chrysalis, or even Discord. "HAHAH , I WON YOU LOSE, WOO, IM DA BEST, OH YEAH, CANT TOUCH DIS, MMMMHMMM, GET REKT" *Hero discovers way to beat them* "LOL OKAY DORK, THAT AINT GONNA WORK" *Works* "NOOOOOOO" Sombra on the other hand, never gloated, and when his defeat was at hand, it wasn't through sheer stupidity, it was because he just wasn't quick enough to get the heart before cadence. Plus anyone who read his fiendship issue should have discovered a new found love for best villain...
Dark Qiviut 22,447 January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 I never knew King Sombra like, had fans. Sombra isn't as popular as Discord, Chrysalis, or NMM, but Sombra has a very dedicated bronydom. His world during TCRM was also the most expanded. Not to mention his Fiendship Is Magic issue is widely considered to be the best. 1 "Talent is a pursued interest." — Bob Ross Pro-Brony articles: 1/2/3/
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,803 January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 This makes me like the Cutie Remark even less, it is my least favorite finale. Sombra is a character that is potentially the most evil of the villains or at least 2nd most evil and yet, we haven't seen much of anything that he can really do. I mean, he enslaved an entire kingdom, that is pretty brutal. I still am holding out that maybe he can return, but the possibility is much less now.
Drunkfrank 1,125 January 6, 2016 Author Share January 6, 2016 (edited) This makes me like the Cutie Remark even less, it is my least favorite finale. I mean, he enslaved an entire kingdom, that is pretty brutal. I still am holding out that maybe he can return, but the possibility is much less now. It's possible he is just to dark, I mean, you can say enslaved ponies and forced them to war in a sentence and people will just blow it off, but dedicating a bunch of time to Sombras brutal nature, might push it to Gravity Falls levels... And 2nd? PFFFT, the only one CLOSE to him would be Tirek, but I still think Sombra is worse, he seemed to have no problem killing princess Amore (pretty much) and enslaving an entire empire...He is BY FAR the most evil... EDIT: Even thought I don't like the wasted Sombra potential, I still find it to be one of the most well put together finales of the whole Show Edited January 6, 2016 by ryanmahaffe
Lambdadelta 1,462 January 7, 2016 Share January 7, 2016 Sombra is a terrified villain but his timeline is not a best. The final timeline is the worst and I expect some new villains is far more... nefarious...
Silver Stream. 708 January 7, 2016 Share January 7, 2016 Sombra is by far the most powerful villain we've seen yet aside from Discord (who possesses a rare power that can rarely be defeated head on). The Cutie Remark was basically an eye opener to show just how useless "friendships" and other protagonists are without the Mane 6 in my opinion. Without their friendship, all hope is lost because there is seemingly no other alternatives of victory. What makes him more interesting than the other villains is his back story within the IDW comics. And it's a shame they do not integrate such back stories within the show because it would do the villains more justice. Back stories dealing with why they are the way they are IN HE SHOW is just far too weak for example Starlight Glimmer's and Sunset Shimmer's.
