Has Shining Armor been to Ponyville before?

Slice of Life and The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows were the first two episodes to show Shining Armor in Ponyville and, although it could be because he had Cadance with him, in the latter episode, he seemed to know his way around both the town and his sisters castle. So, has he been to Ponyville before the wedding in Slice of Life, or did Cadance show him around town?

My guess is that after the Slice of Life wedding, there was some sort of reception or something that took place in the castle. Because... y'know, weddings are special. He probably found his way around town then.

Well, he could have spent the night at Twi's castle. And him being posted at  Poniville before he became the great cap doesn't sounds too far fetched either

Eh, I still think it had something to do with Slice of Life. We'd never seen him in Ponyville before -- it was likely his first time -- so he probably took a good look around.

Yeah, but, who knows, he might have been posted in Poniville before he became the captain. I mean, it's not precisely uncommon for military organizations to assign their men to different places during their career. If that were the case with Shiny, he might know Poniville before hand. 

 Then again, it's just a theory, there's no proof that confirms nor denies it.

 OR he might have visited between episodes at some point. Who knows?

Seeing as he's the captain of the Royal Guard something about that tells me he's been to lots of places and Ponyville is no exception.
