After a recommendation from a friend I just recently started watching the anime Durarara and have finished with Durarara X2. For those who haven't seen it is very hard to describe what it is, it has a rather interesting mix of slice of life, supernatural elements with one of the main characters being a creature from Irish mythology called a Dullahan and another one of the main characters being possessed by a demon named Saika and a bit of action and heavy drama with a lot of complex politics revolving around various local gangs and later on even the Yakuza (Japanese Mafia). One thing I like about this is that everything seems to be connected to such a point where the city this takes place (ikebukuro) itself almost becomes a character in and of itself.

My favorite character is Izaya Orihara.

I love him too, he is kind of like pre reformation Discord except without the reality warping powers. That guy has his hands in pretty much everything and loves screwing with people. Celtie is also quite awesome, Shizuo's outburts are always fun to watch and he really reminds me of Brock Samson (Venture Bros).

Oh man I got to like episode 5 of that. I really need to finish it.

 

The second episode blew my mind.
