Jangocoolguy 433 February 19, 2016 Share February 19, 2016 Okay, so the new tagline for the toys is "Explore Equestria". Which makes me wonder if the Mane 6 will go out and about the land to previously un-shown locations, along doing new things with old locales. Or do they do enough world traveling as it is that they don't need to dedicate a season to it? Just fairly curious and wanted to see what anyone else thought. "It's like I found a piece of myself I didn't even know was missing!" How do you think WE feel?!
Unlikeable Pony 2,700 February 19, 2016 Share February 19, 2016 I think they might possibly finangle from the Cutie remark that the map can be used to teleport magically in addition to its other functions. That would allow them to go to a far larger number of places without the travel issues. Expecting some more dragon lands in this season due to that. That being said, I hope it doesn't "eat" the purpose of the season. map missions are okay, but so far they're pretty bland in what they're supposed to be there for. I was kind of hoping for some more purpose behind the map this season, but honestly there's nothing revealed about it besides "It sent them on a couple quests and starlight used it to timetravel".Its a very poor replacement for the EOH IMO. Megas 28,138 February 19, 2016 Share February 19, 2016 (edited) They've began hyping it up by hyping up unexplored lands like Manehattan and Sweet Apple Acres(seriously). So with that in mind I'm gonna keep my expectations low (though seeing more griffons will be nice at least) Edited February 19, 2016 by Megas
cmarston1 5,964 February 19, 2016 Share February 19, 2016 Well seeing as how the cutie map in season 5 only amounted to only a few episodes, I expect the while explore Equestrian to be similarly handled in the show. Although I would really like to see some new locations and world building.

To be honest, I'd be happy if it turned out they had a plan for the map sending them places this season compared to last season and there were more importance placed on it. Not like half the episodes based around it, but more than 3 episodes besides the finale/premier, and some sort of explanation for why it's important that the mane six be listening to the giant hunk of rock, rather than just making it seem like glorified community service, yeah? Like, if the focus of the finale hadn't been that the mane six THEMSELVES not being friends was the issue but rather than everyone they HELPED was important over the years (Such that the timeline in the future was cynical and bitter rather than generic "Villain takes over"), it would have made the map seem more reasonable. Hah, on that note, I doubt it'll happen, but it'd be a great way to plug the guardians of harmony toyline if they had the map hand out a few more action focused situations
