@,

Bobby stopped for a second, and realized Mackenzie had been picked for the summoning position, despite the fact she had said she specialized in elemental magic.

"Congrats, but I gotta go," he said to Mary.

Bobby went out into the hall where Mackenzie had gone. When he saw her on the other side of the hall, he waved and said, "Hey, Mackenzie!"

(I'm the one with elemental magic)

Mary saw the crowd running for one of the members. Then saw that Ray was also standing in the crowd, "It's good to know that people are always looking out for illusions." She said with a sigh. "But what are we going to do without them."

( Mackenzie lied to bobby. She told him that she had elemental magic. )

In her current emotional state, Bobby's call was the straw that broke the Camel's back. Mackenzie spun around and yelled at him.

"WHAT?!" She screeched, her eyes locked in a glare and the back of her teeth gritted. She simply wanted to go somewhere quiet where pesky humans couldn't bother her.

@,

Bobby recoiled at Mackenzie's harsh reaction. "Jeez, I just wanted to say congratulations on getting into the Trinity Four. What did I do?"

Bobby was genuinely worried that he had said or done something to offend Mackenzie, and he'd obliviously try anything to make it up.

(I gotta go somewhere, so I won't be able to post for maybe an hour and a half)

At that moment, Mackenzie realised that she had... Kinda screwed up. Her anger and frustration quickly faded away, replaced with guilt. She didn't want to reward politeness with anger.

Her voice began to waver. "Sorry Bobby, it's just- just, just leave me alone."

The last part trailed off to nearly a whisper as she turned around and ran off. The courtyards seemed nice and secluded.

Bobby figured it would be best if he just let Mackenzie go. He didn't know whether he had done something wrong or not, but he was sure he could work it out.

'Wait, what am I supposed to do now?' he thought to himself.

Bobby had been so swept up in the thrill of getting on the Trinity Four, he didn't actually know how he was supposed to do his duties.

'I should ask Ray' Bobby thought. 'He seems to know what's up.'

( I'm assuming the campus has a courtyard. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm also assuming that the school is alike a university with dorms and such?)

Mackenzie sat in a bench at the courtyard. Well, it was more of a garden, really, not that she minded.

She clutched her head a d leaned forward, trying to sort her thoughts out. She never expected to be given such a high position, neither did she want it. She was far from an exemplary student, only scraping by her exams by scoring full marks for the practicals. She wondered what the headmaster was thinking giving an introvert like her a leadership role.

"AGGGGHH!" She screamed in frustration, a few birds scattering at the sudden noise.

In addition, her new position made her a target among her peers. It was obvious by the looks she was given that others really, really wanted the position she currently had, and were probably pissed that she had been recruited to the trinity four. Great, even more reason for her to get picked on.

@@Love Doctor Blaze,

After sifting through the crowd back in the auditorium, Bobby was eventually able to find Ray.

"Hey, Ray, congrats," he said. "Now I realize how much of a dumbass I sound like, but I have no idea how I'm supposed to do any of the stuff I'm supposed to do on the Trinity Four."

"Hey there Mackenzie," Mary says to her, "something wrong. (I would recommend that the reader remember that Mary knows nothing of Mackenzie, except for that she is a bit shy) "Is something the matter? You just got a job most people would dream of getting." Mary sat down next to her.

Mackenzie's eye twitched. Was there nowhere on this bloody campus where she could have some peace and quiet?!

She slowly turned towards Mary. The familiar sensation emanating from her knife had returned. She twitched, struggling to get her words out while trying to suppress the influence.

"Go- go away!" She hissed. Hopefully some aggression would make her less approachable, for the good of everyone.

"Hmph," Mary says, giving a half smile, "Say?, how about we make a deal? A duel, Me v. You, if I win, you tell me your problem, if I lose, I'll leave you alone and never speak of this ever again." Mary had thought of this as a fair trade, and outstretched her hand for a handshake.

Mackenzie was tempted by the offer. The knife's pressure was almost unbearable. She sighed. Maybe a fight would take some of the shit off her mind. Besides, it seemed like a quick way to get rid of the girl.

She brought up her hand and shook Mary's. "So where do we do this?"

"How about a mile away from the front of the school, so that we can still have spectators." Mary pointed at the direction, "I think it's pretty flat over there." Mary didn't look like it, but she was very eager to get this started, she was bored of having no actual competition.

Mackenzie leered at Mary. "Why do you want spectators?" She asked. "So you want the whole world to know that I want to be left alone?"

'Actually...' Mackenzie thought. 'Maybe that will help.'

She stood up. "You know what? It's alright. Fine. Let's go. Lead the way." She said, the knife itching at her.

@@Love Doctor Blaze,

Bobby got a feeling from his brass knuckles that said he should be somewhere, and he was also filled with the overwhelming feeling that something was about to go down. (I'm assuming part of making sure students follow the rules is overseeing duels)

"Y'know, I'm getting the feeling I oughtta be someplace. Sorry to cut it short, but I gotta go," he said to Ray.

Bobby began to walk in the direction of Mary and Mackenzie.

Once Mary and Mackenzie got to the site, she drew her scythe. "Quick rules, try not to actually kill the other, and second, make sure to surrender when your through." Mary set the scythe on fire, "Let the games, begin." She walked about 50 yards away from Mackenzie and entered her fighting stance.

Mackenzie stepped back further, reluctantly drawing her knife. It was a simple thing: more of a tool than a weapon. A kitchen knife.

She held it in front of her in her right hand while her left hand glowed purple, preparing her magic. Normally, summoners were weak in 1v1s as they took some time to summon their creatures. Not the way she used it though.

The head of a dragon began materialising behind her, the head itself as large as her.

"Alright then, hope you bring your best, your going to need it." Mary makes a quick ring of fire to surround the area, she then pointed towards the sky and imminently the ring turned into a wall. Mary's eyes flared, "It's about to get hot in here!" Mary exclaimes, charging Mackenzie.

The change of pressure due to the heat caused Mackenzie's hood to flap out, revealing her red hair. Mackenzie stood her ground, waiting till the last second to jump to the left to dodge Mary's charge.

It also got out of the way of the dragon's head behind her.

The dragon head's mouth opened and a flamethrower of icy blue fire erupted from it's mouth.

After the attack, the dragon's head would dissipate, and 2 more would materialise a short distance away from Mackenzie, one on each side.

After a short delay, blue fire would erupt from their mouths once again. The one on the left would spew fire directly in front of Mackenzie while the other would fire directly at Mary.

( if you need a reference for how these attack's work, Google 'san's gaster blasters' )

@ @@Gearhart,

After a bit of a run, Bobby ended up at the duel.

'What's happening?' he thought to himself. 'Why are they fighting all of suddenl?'

The duel had already started, so Bobby figured there wasn't much more he could do besides watch and step in if things got too violent.

Ray observed the battle with a bored look "Man do you guys have any idea how much paperwork this is going to give me? A dumb amount" Suddenly he got a grin "But with that said, please don't hold back for my sake" He got a chair and sat down to observe the battle. This would also give him a rough idea of their power

Mary had slid under the fire and turned to face her opponent again, she had attempted to absorb the fire by outstretching her hand. She caught the fire, made it more dense, and threw it right back at Mackenzie. She then tried to block the second barrage.

The one on the left would spew fire directly in front of Mackenzie while the other would fire directly at Mary.)

The incoming attack was swept away by the torrent of fire from the dragon's head aiming directly in front of Mackenzie.

'Elementals can manipulate icy fire?' She mused. 'Shit.'

She thrust her free hand upwards. As she did, a hand made of stone as wide as a car punched out of the ground below Mary, attempting to grab her.

Obviously the hand of a larger golem, but the rest of the golem seemed absent.

With her other hand, her knife glowed purple, and she slashed the air in front of her. A purple dimensional rip in the air was formed.

Mary used the golems hand to gain some altitude, she pointed the blunt end of the scythe toward Mackenzie. She made all of the fire she could to propel her towards Mackenzie. She aimed for an arm or something, so if she had hit it a little too hard it wouldn't be vital.

The dimensional rip Mackenzie previously made ripped open, sucking up the fire. She grit her teeth as the monster she tried to summon from it burned to death in it's tiny hole.

'This is why I use my magic this way' she grumbled. Thrusting her hand outwards, several birds made of plasma spawned into existence and swarmed Mary from all directions, mostly from in front of her. She really didn't want to get in range of that scythe.

Another Dragon's head from the other end of the arena.

"Think that'll stop me!" She swung quickly at the plasma birds, maybe took out a few. Her path continued, but she missed by a few feet. She lifted her scythe so that it was around Mackenzie's waist, "Checkmate Mackenzie," she died out the fire, and left only a little bit of charred grass.
