BlackWater627 700 March 22, 2016 Share March 22, 2016 I would have avoided MLP like the plague if it was animated in G3 style. One of the most important principles of the 12 principles of animation is appeal. G3's style had very little appeal. I think I'll agree. I mean, imagine if Star Wars didn't have revolutionary special effects back in 1977. Even if the story and characters were all the same, I seriously doubt it would have exploded and become such a hit. Story and characters are crucial but they can be forgotten if the style or execution isn't up to par. It's hard to say exactly where the winning line is between writing, style, and execution but you definitely can't neglect any of them. That and The Powerpuff Girls. 1 Kindness is just a few words away. Tell someone something nice and be the Element of Kindness today! ♥
cider float 2,539 March 23, 2016 Share March 23, 2016 (edited) I doubt it. G4 has a clean and crisp look about it having a feel of what Flash cartoons look that I liked yet still professional and not too gaudy and colorful. Rainbow Dash is the only one with too much bright colors but due to nostalgic reason, Lauren had to make her that colorful. The ponies to the houses in G3 remind me too much of the pink aisle in stores. Edited March 23, 2016 by cider float
