gaming Destiny April Update!

So, it would seem a new update for Destiny is coming next month on the 12th.

 

But, all we've got to go by is this teaser of a header pic on Bungie's site. And a few little details regarding of what's to come.

 

 

 

I'm really curious as to what's coming. in the image above the 3 Guardians are wearing Prison Of Elders gear and seem to be wearing a "Taken" shader...or maybe that's how the armour is skinned on it's own? Who knows!Either way it looks rather badass to me.

 

 

 

From what it says, I'm REALLY hoping that older gear will become relevant again, maybe a refresh to the older Raids.

 

The Sandbox, could possibly be referring to Patrol mode?I do quite a bit of Patrol for daily bounties and such...Would be cool to see new features and things to do in Patrol mode....Maybe more stuff similar to The Court Of Oryx on the planets?

 

Something else I'd like to see in this up date is weekly Vanguard Bounties, same thing as to what Lord Shaxx has. Complete all 5 weekly bounties and you get Nightfall tier rewards. Weekly Vanguard Bounties would be similar to The Queen's Wrath that arrived in the 1st couple months of Destiny's release....rewarding Rep to faction and Vanguard. Something else to add, would be Faction specific quests/daily/weekly Bounties. Which would reward an above average amount of Faction Rep upon completion.

 

New Gear and Loot..New gear and loot is always exciting. perhaps we'll finally see Faction Sparrows or Ghosts?

 

~Increased Max Light and Rewards. "AND" rewards...so does that mean a better drop rate of Exotics and Legendary items? Drop rate isn't as bad as it used to be...but it's still kinda meh.

 

 

What are your guys speculations on this next update? By the way it comes as part of The Taken King. So If you already own The taken King DLC, it comes as no cost to you.

I am so excited to have a reason to hop back into Destiny. I really hope however that the Taken shader doesn't come from beating Skolas at whatever the new max light level will be.  I also hope that with this update the previously datamined but unreleased exotics will be made available. 

 

Also to address your hope that old raids will be brought forward I've got some not so good news regarding that, in a tweet by one of the higher ups at Bungie they had this to say about the older raids.

 

 No VoG/CE stuff coming for April. Please to be setting expectations accordingly!

Yea I'm kinda hoping the Taken shader is somewhat obtainable for a casual/lone player. Or they make it open to matchmaking,which would be awesome. Since, I have no friends to play on 360 anymore...and finding a consistent set of people to play with is hard.

 

Yea, I seen that on my Facebook feed..Oh well. at least PoE will be getting a revise at least. I'm hoping for more vault space as well..
