Meh anything Lauren Faust says about MLP to me doesn't stand anymore because she is also influenced by the current MLP G4 under controlled by someone else. 

 

If there was anything she said while the show was under her control those words I would keep to heart. As of now what she says now could be based on how the show is flowing recently. But if it was under her control up till now she would be saying something different.
