"What I say? I say it's great! It's good that she's found somepony in these tough times. But I trust that you will take care of my little filly. I won't appreciate you breaking her heart."

 

(Idfk xD Nel left, so Steady and Red are now at her father's house talking about stuff. xD)

"Okay," Red replied, "I'll take care of her."

"Im glad to here it." Steady strolled into the room with a tray holding three cups of tea and various things to add.

 

"I didn't know you still had this record Daddy! I love this one!" She sat down on the floor at the foot of Red's chair and laid her head back as the next track played.

Red, making sure Steady wasn't looking, quietly switched her hat with his own and put her hat on his head, then acted like nothing happened.

Steady blew a strand of hair out of her eyes and noticed that the brim of her hat seemed significantly darker...

 

"Hey!" She giggled and changed the hats again."

Red laughed and sank back into the chair.

Steady giggled as well and sat her cup on the tray when it was finished.

 

"So what was it like living in that prison for so long?" Steady asked with wonder.

 

"To tell you the truth? The worst thing I experienced was immense boredom. All we ever did was sit in that damn courtyard. They would feed us a little but mostly we just sat there and listened to music."

Red took a sip of his tea.

 

(Need to go help my grandfather. Be right back.)

"I'm sorry we couldn't do anything sooner, I wasn't sure if you were even there and I didn't want Nel risking not getting out if you might not be there."

 

"It's alright Steady. I'm still surprised how quickly he found me. That Nel sure is a good stallion you were lucky to have him as a friend. Where is he anyways?"

 

"Umm I don't know... we kind of had a fight..."

 

(Sorry I've been out of town and I just got to a computer.)

Red got a little nervous wondering what Steady will say.

 

(That's fine. I was busy all day yesterday.)

"What kind of fight? I thought you two were really close."

 

"We are! It was just we had a small argument of where I'd be staying..."

 

(hmm idk what to put :/)

Red cocked his head to one side. 'Where is she going with this,' he thought.

 

(If she says what I think she might say, Red will have a pretty good reaction.)

"I wanted to live with Red but... Nel didn't seem to like it very much..."

 

(Im so tired right now from writing late at night so I might lose some sense.)

Red took another sip of tea. 'I don't know what her father will think about that,' he thought. He squirmed a little in his chair.

Cloud took a sip of his own tea before replying.

 

"But what about Nel? Have you taken his feelings into consideration? He HAS watched over since I've been gone. I doubt he would've done it if he didn't care about you." He took another sip.

Red thought about himself for a moment. He didn't think of Nel and what he thought. He didn't want to lose Steady, but he should have told Nel first off. Deep in thought, he took another sip of tea.

 

(Sorry for the delay, was helping my mom get drum heads for me tomorrow. I was hoping Red would get to do a spit take. XD)

"... I know Daddy... I guess I just didn't think about him. He's been there the entire time yet I just saw it as being a good friend... now I'm not sure..." Steady spoke as if in a daze, partially forgetting Red was there.

'I'm going to try to talk to Nel after we leave," Red thought to himself. He's only halfway listening to Steady now, but enough for her words to register in his mind.
