midnight layed his head down, the grass felt nice, taking a deep breath he could smell a few ponies out and about, he was hungry again, he slowly got up and made his way into ponyville.

"Otherworld Freak?" he asked "You should be pointing that one at yourself, Otherworld freak"

Rain just bit her lip and looked at the ground.

"It's just...everyone I know is dead...Ponyville is pretty much deserted now...all my friends..." She looked at him. "I know this couldn't have been you. Not something that full scale. You're far better than that." She smiled weakly at him.

That sentence made Shadow's heart sink. "Y-yeah..." he said, normally he could of lied, but he obviously failed at doing so.

Plague simply hovered there, flapping his grotesque wings as he waited for Omega to say what he had come to say.

midnight smiled, a feral and quite evil smile, he needed to drag somepony off alone, and his chance came when a white pony about his height noticed him, "hey are you alright?"

midnight shook his head, "no....i-im not..." he was acting weak...hopefully it was convincing

"I was not created by your world" he said "Your world helped me separate into two people though"

Rain cocked her head and suddenly her eyes widened.

"It...it WAS you?" she asked, and there wasn't any anger in her voice, just crushing sadness. "Oh...well...I...I guess I should've tried harder, huh...this is my fault..." She looked back at the ground and stood up, walking outside, and launched herself towards the ground as she usually did.

"Thanks for telling us something we already knew," he said as he readied himself.

"We won't waste any more time here, so we'll do what we came here to do," he roared as he stabbed Omega with all six of his virulent tendrils..

midnight blinks as rain lands on top of him, "what in the?" he rubs his head, "ow."

Omega turned into shadow before the tendrils reached them, so they passed through like nothing. "Your attempts are quite futile my friend" he said.

 

Shadow used his magic to stop Rain before she hit the ground. His eye seemed to turn back to it's inverted state as he cringed. But found she had already been stopped.

Plague let out a small laugh as he fired a shot of magic from his horn.

"Then I guess we'll have to fight you with this magicky stuff!"

Rain sighed and flew back into the house, crashing on the couch again as she looked at him.

"Don't take it the wrong way, Shadow," she sighed. "I know you can't help it sometimes...and I know you probably didn't mean to hurt those ponies...but I feel like somehow I caused this, as per usual..."

Noticing his eye, she gently turned his head so she could see it properly. Holding the side of his face she examined it and exhaled again. "I'm sorry."

Omega still kept himself in shadow form and sighed. "Are you dumb?" he asked

 

Shadow tried to ignore his eye. "Think of it this way" he said "at the time, it was like trying to get a villain to be good. It will only work for so long until something make him go back to his old ways." he explained "It's not your fault it's fully mine, and mine only"

Plague stopped attacking Omega as he tried to assess the situation.

Rain continued to hold the side of his face, staring at him seriously. "Tell me the truth....did you kill Mr. Breezy?"

Omega went out of Shadow form "I only wanted to have a casual talk, but if you insist" he said as he shot out a wave of dark energy toward Scipio "I will oblige"

 

"I don't know" he said "It could of been me, a turned vampire, Fire or even Harley...." he said sadly

midnight sighed, "now i need help..." he took the white mares hoof and, with her help, got to his hooves, "thanks...." he sighed and gripped his side, rain falling on him had cracked another rib or two.

"Oh, god, Fire too? What the hell..." Rain cursed under her breath. "Well, I dunno what to do..." She slowly lowered her hoof from his face and looked at him, a single tear rolling down her cheek as she tried to contain them desperately.
