Shadow looked at the metal rather curious and intrigued. He picked the box up with magic and headed off towards his house. He reached his cloud house and walked inside. The house was still empty besides the picture and the couch. He placed the box on the edge of the couch and sat down with a sigh.

 

He spawned his scythe, and touched the tip of the blade onto the metal. it seemed to suck up the Dark metal into the blade, changing the color of it a bit. His hunger then returned. Shadow could not take it anymore. He walked over to the door, trying to keep himself from leaving the house, but his attempts failed.

 

He left the house and flew up to Cloudsdale. It was midnight, and few ponies were still out.

midnight stood up and looked around, noticing shadow had left he decided to walk around camp, get some excercise

As he walked closer to the noises he had been hearing all night, Shadowrunner began to hear somepony trotting. He say through the bushes hiding him, a Black pegasus with amber eyes, trotting around.

midnight sniffed the air, he frowned, somepony was watching him, he frowned and continued trotting in his intended direction, eventually slowing down and coming around behind whoever it was, staying there silently, barely letting out a breath.

He chuckled quietly as he heard a bush sound behind him, he was trapped. "Well aren't you going to attack me?"

"No, i dont even know who you are," midnight frowned,

"I am investigating the sudden deaths." said Shadowrunner. "And I think I found the cause."

Shadow continued down the mostly empty street, trying to stop himself from doing what he had to do.

 

A Female Pegasus, Star Berry, was trotting down the street carelessly humming a melody.

midnight frowned, "are you going to answer me?"

Shadow continued to walk down the street, growing closer to the smell of blood. A pony walked out from the corner and ran directly into him. Spilling their things across the ground.

 

Star Berry rounded the corner, and ran into Shadow spilling her things on the floor that she kept tucked between her wings.. "Oh, i am so sorry!" She said "I cant see a think out at this time of night!" She explained, as she Started to pick up her things. "Oh, it's quite alright." Shadow said as he helped her pick up the things she spilled.

midnight frowned, the pony was stone still, he poked him, but shrugged and trotted back to camp, his hunger starting to gnaw at his stomcah, but not too badly, he figured he could survive awhile without it.

Star Berry picked up all her things with the help of Shadow. He gave him a smile "Thanks" she said There was something obviously wrong with this pony though, She thought.

 

Shadow gave a nod "No problem" The streets were deserted, no one would know if he killed this pony. "But id just like to say i'm sorry though..." Shadow said almost in a sad tone. The pony gave him a confused look "For what?"

midnight shook his head, shadow had been gone for quite some time, he was a little worried

Before she could say anything, the seemingly kind pony slammed her up into the wall and bit her in the neck, sinking his fangs into her and slowly draining her of her blood. She could not do anything, the pure shock from the attack and the incredible force of her attacker made it so she could of watch in horror.

 

Shadow's colors went from their blue scheme, to the grayed out black hair and inverted eyes.

midnight sat next to the fire, looking at his hoof he realized he had never washed the blood off of his coat, it was still there, and he shuddered. "uggh"

Star's vision started to blur from blood loss, and her body began to go numb.

 

Shadow started to feel his consciousness return to it's normal state. He then realized what he was doing and released his fangs from the pony's neck. Star fell to the ground, barely still keeping herself awake and not blacking out. Tears started to well up in the pony's eyes, as she thought she was about to die.

midnight shook his head and looked around for a pool of water, and as soon as he found one, he pushed his hoof into the water, watching the crusted blood turn back to liquid, as it dissipated into the water.

he sat there reflecting on whats been happening to him, he enjoyed the death? was he becomming evil? could he stop it?

as long as shadow was around, that might not happen....but it was still a possiblity.

She tried to move her body, but was too weak to do so. Star then blacked out completely.

 

Shadow just watched in utter shock at what just happened. He let his hunger control his actions again. And now it was going to be bad. His colors slowly started started to shift back to his disguised blue version of himself before he became a vampire. He slowly and carefully picked up the pony and started to walk back to the camp carefully, a rather sad look upon him.

midnight heard a hoofstep and he stood up, noticing it was shadow, "hey sh....." he noticed the mare on his back, "what happened?"

"Lost control" Shadow said simply as he created a bed out of magic and set Star in it. He was still wearing a black hoodie. Star was wearing a blue colored one, seeing it was cold out at night.

midnight turned and walked over to his saddlebags, near his tent, he pulled out a first aid kit and began cleaning the bite, he couldnt do anything else, but at least he was doing something, he needed something to do anyway.

Shadow sat down in a chair. Sighing and clenching his head "I screwed up" he muttered. "And i screwed up bad"

midnight shook his head, "everypony does, honestly i think ive done worse when i was part of the military." he smiled, "i can take care of her when she wakes, i think you may need some sleep, or at least some time to think."

[Chickey 383]

Shadow nodded. The chair he was sitting on slowly started to form into a bed. He laid down in a attempt to sleep even if he probably could not, especially now.

 

Star could slowly feel darkness surround her in her mind.

 

(1 hour time skip until Star wakes up?)
