[Slight spoilers] Theory on new Equestrian allies recently

So we have seen the ponies begin to rebirth griffon culture, and now in Gauntlet of Fire they are making a really powerful ally with the dragons.

 

It's a strong theory that the changelings will return in the finale, so what if it's not the main 6 and their friendship that saves the day, but the friends they made across the land are the ones to come to Equestrias aid and save them

I agree. Having to develop new characters and places foreshadows a lot about the future episodes. I'm not even sure if they bring back Chrysalis and the Changelings but I wouldn't be surprise if they do.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time the show had some offhand comments turning into big plots later, like Cerberus short rampage allowing Tirek to escape. I think the dragons would be helpful in whatever threat comes this season or later

Hmm. I was wondering about the allies comment. It seemed weird that Equestria would even need allies, if they've been able to go without, apparently, since Equestria's founding. Which again- seems weird, because a nation is supposed to have at least one ally after all that time.

Something much be coming where neither the Crystal heart or Tree of harmony and friendship ex machina can't help
