So if protestantic christianity fails?

Then will Catholics win?(Considering there is no way gays will convince catholics that, its a reason why catholics dont really think much of protestantism in general. And that is that they have traditions to follow. So that works)

'cause homosexuality is afterall just nonsense, like who would become a Christian if the whole point of it is to allow contrary to the scripture, it falls azunder. Although i am more into Wicca so far.

Ignoring the scriptures seems to be fatal and so many are leaving the church because of it.

What on earth are you talking about?

Edit: This is the part I'm referring to.

So first of all your being flat out homophobic by saying Homosexuality is nonsense, maybe you should look at actual evidence, studies and fact instead of just stating your own opinion is fact. I didn't realise the aim of religion was to ''Win'', people have free will to believe whatever they want to believe and with, western culture at least, becoming more open then the religion with the most adaptability will become the most popular.

You then go into saying your more into wicca which is totally different. How is ignoring a 3000 year old book written by men fatal?

Well generally i am not much Christian. Although i have a sympathetic spot for catholicism, but so far i am more into Wicca.

But i generally feel uncomfortable with homosexuals because most have weird fetishes, otherwise i dont care so much, i am not really anti, i just find most homosexuals to be weird, bisexual but not so much.

Meaningless in terms of nobody wants to actually follow a church that goes against scripture. The history and all that, like i dont think this will fool anyone i am just saying in terms of actual believers.

You said that homosexuality is nonsense.

Okay, but that is your personal opinion but you are stating these things as fact or truths and bashing on homosexual's which is in no way relevant to the topic, it's like your trying to find a way to throw it in there.

Meaningless in terms of nobody wants to actually follow a church that goes against scripture.

So, if no one wants to follow a religion that isn't solely based on scripture then why do hundreds of millions of people follow protestant Christianity and it's respective branches? Alot of Christian's, and even Athiest's say they prefer protestant Christianity due to the fact that it is in some ways actually moving with the times. These are people who realise that the bible was written by humans, there have been edit's over the century and that God, if he exists, wouldn't expect people to live the same way they did thousands of years ago.

Sorry to cut the tour short, but given how controversial and potentially antagonistic the topic content is, I'm locking this thread.

Remember: even if you don't necessarily agree with someone else, you should always show a basic measure of respect for them. Case in point: I don't think millions of Protestants -- and Catholics, including myself -- would like to see their beliefs cast in terms of winning and losing. This isn't a game, and treating it as such ferments mean spirited attitudes. The same goes for calling homosexuality "nonsense", which is a rude and blanket dismissal of an entire group of people. I won't tolerate that sort of discourse here.

Lastly, controversial topics should almost always go into the Debate Pit. Ask a moderator before you post a topic if you're ever uncertain.

Please feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions or concerns.
