Everything was wild. Everything was loud. Everything went crazy at the Canterlot Dance Club. DJ Gumball was a bright white unicorn with a black and blue mane and a black and red tail. His eyes were an emerald green colour. They were so green that they made actual emeralds look worthless. He also wore a bright yellow wristband around his left hoof wherever he went. It was his favourite accessory. He was performing his set in Canterlot, on his tour around Equestria. Everypony knew who he was. He was Equestria's No. 1 EDM producer.

 

The crowd raved to the sound of the music booming from the speakers. Everypony waved their neon coloured glowsticks around their hooves in the air. All of them shone different bright colours. The lights on the stage flashed to the beat. The bright laser lights pierced through the darkness of the place, as well as the glowsticks held by the ponies in the crowd. Gumball knew he was impressing the crowd with his music, so he cranked up the volume by twisting a knob on the turntable. As the music progressively got louder, he jumped around on the stage to get the audience pumped up even more.

Everything was wild. Everything was loud. Everything went crazy at the Canterlot Dance Club. DJ Gumball was a bright white unicorn with a black and blue mane and a black and red tail. The lights on the stage flashed to the beat. The bright laser lights pierced through the darkness of the place, as well as the glowsticks held by the ponies in the crowd. Gumball knew he was impressing the crowd with his music, so he cranked up the volume by twisting a knob on the turntable. As the music progressively got louder, he jumped around on the stage to get the audience pumped up even more.

The music was getting louder and louder as a young unicorn was taping her hooves to the beat. This mare had a certain type of genre and her favourite was dubstep. Renee was a young tan-ish unicorn with a yellow/purple mane and tail. Her eyes were a beautiful violet, like gems or even more! No pony else had those kind of eyes like hers. The drop just came on, and everypony jumped to the bass kicks. Confetti shot from some cannons on the side of the stage. It sprinkled everywhere in many different colours. Some ponies in the crowd were carried on someone else's shoulders to get a better view. Everyone cheered as the melody of the music entered their ears. Gumball was enjoying the show himself too. He continued to bounce along with the crowd. The scene was absolutely exhilarating.

The drop just came on, and everypony jumped to the bass kicks. Confetti shot from some cannons on the side of the stage. It sprinkled everywhere in many different colours. Some ponies in the crowd were carried on someone else's shoulders to get a better view. Everyone cheered as the melody of the music entered their ears. Gumball was enjoying the show himself too. Only ponies that had VIP passes could go in there and she had one! Something was off but she can't put a hoof on it..

As the song finished, the crowd started to settle down a bit. The kick and snare pattern in the ending was fading out as Gumball twisted the knob to turn the volume down. Suddenly, there was a loud "BANG". The crowd gasped in horror. Gumball immediately turned his head to see where the bang cam from. He too, was shocked as the crowd was when he noticed that one of the lights on the stage overheated and burst into fire crackers and sparks. "holy crap! Everypony stay calm!" he shouted into the microphone. "Somepony! Anypony! Help!"

Putting it back into place and reconnecting the wires with her magic.

Gumball blushed a little bit. He liked getting complemented by his taste in music. "Oh, thank you absolutely very much! Damn, things would have turned out to be a disaster if it weren't for you! I, um... I like your mechanical skills!" he chuckled. "Hey, since you saved my show tonight, wanna stay up here on stage with me for the rest of the show?" he offered.

Renee blushed a little bit and smiled, looking at the stallion besides her. "What do you mean? Like assistant or something? Sure I may be a royal Mechanic as a young filly but I have no idea where this idea of joining you on stage came from.." She left out a frustrating sigh. "Excuse me.." With that, she trotted outside for some fresh air.

Renee blushed a little bit and smiled, looking at the stallion besides her. "What do you mean? Like assistant or something? Sure I may be a royal Mechanic as a young filly but I have no idea where this idea of joining you on stage came from.." She left out a frustrating sigh. "Excuse me.." With that, she trotted outside for some fresh air.

 

"Uh, wait..." said Gumball as the mare left. He wanted to talk to her about it, but by doing that, he'd have to keep the crowd waiting for a minute or two. Gumball had a choice to make. He could either keep on going with the show and start playing music again, or, take a quick break and find out more about the mare who every pony's lives, especially his own. She couldn't have just done a favour and leave immediately. The unicorn seemed to be a reliable and nice pony to be friends with. Gumball thought for a minute. Then he made a decision. "Guys, i'm sorry, but i'll have to keep you waiting just for one second. I just gotta see what's going on with her. She saved our lives!" he said into the microphone. 

 

The crowd started complaining a bit, but Gumball didn't mind. He cared more about the mare who saved his life and wanted to talk about it with her. He used his teleportation spell and disappeared from the stage. He then reappeared at the other side of the room and headed out the main entrance where the mare had gone out. The whole audience murmured and turned around to see him exit. As Gumball opened the door, he saw the mare still walking away. "Uh, hey! I gotta tell you something!" he called out.

"Uh, wait..." said Gumball as the mare left. He wanted to talk to her about it, but by doing that, he'd have to keep the crowd waiting for a minute or two. Gumball had a choice to make. Renee heard a familiar voice calling to her. With a shrug, she turned around to see the familiar stallion that offered her a deal on stage. What did he want out of Renee? A repair? New headphones? His DJ set blew up? Whatever it was.. She wasn't white happy about it. But, like the friendly mare she is... She obliged to him, walking back over to him. "Yeah! I just wanted to say that, you know... you actually saved our lives! I mean, if you weren't there, the entire club would have burned down because of that broken light! I really, really wanted thank you for that. I absolutely appreciate your support! We all do, in fact." Said Gumball happily. "Oh, um, sorry. Whare are my manners? My name is Gumball. I'm more known by my stage name "DJ" Gumball. What's your name, miss?" he asked, eager to be friends with the mare.

"Yeah! I just wanted to say that, you know... you actually saved our lives! I mean, if you weren't there, the entire club would have burned down because of that broken light! I really, really wanted thank you for that. I absolutely appreciate your support! We all do, in fact." Said Gumball happily. "Oh, um, sorry. Whare are my manners? My name is Gumball. I'm more known by my stage name "DJ" Gumball. What's your name, miss?" he asked, eager to be friends with the mare.

Renee smiled and looked away from Gumball. Sure she had positive feedback from mares and stallions alike but this complement really made her blush. "I-it's no biggie. Seriously, I have to deal with more advanced stuff so this is like a walk in the park.. Don't mention it." She replied. "O-oh! How rude of me! The name's Renee Tweaker but I'm known through my first name.. Renee or.. Miss Tweaker." This felt all weird for her.. Considering he looked.. Familiar. She can't put a hoof on it.. He looked like she knew him from a Long time ago but,. When?

Gumball was pretty excited himself. "Oh yes! We're gonna rock this club aren't we?" he said. "Come on in!" He grabbed Renee by the hoof, not to hard, back int the room where the audiece was still waiting. Gumball pushed through a few ponies in the crowd, while others moved out of his path. After getting throughh the huge wave of ponies, they finally made it to the stage. Gumball went over to his set and out his headphones on. "Sup guys! I'm back! Everypony, say helli to Renee, the mare who saved us! She's gonna be raving with me tonight! Are you ready, Renee? Let's spin this!" Gumball pressed the play button and soon, the crowd cheered again.

 

AFTER THE SHOW

 

Renee was dead on her hooves, heck. She couldn't even balance on them for so much dancing and jumping around. Her legs felt like sticks, ready to collapse into a pile of nothingness. "O-okay.. Maybe I probably partied a little too hard than expected but hey.. At least Gumball had a great time.. All of the other ponies partied their hooves out! Shoot, there are some even drunk or passed out. Should I tell him about it? Nah.. He's already used to this. Must be hard for a DJ to keep working up the party.." She mumbled to herself, looking at the crowd of ponies.

He was holding two cans of soda with his magic, and opened one of them and took a sip out of it. "Ah. So, you want a drink?" Asked Gumball, handing her over the other can of soda.

Gumball saw Renee looking quite exhausted from the partying. He too, was feeling i little worn out. He went over to her. "Hey there Renee! So, um, did you have fun?" He asked. "I know it's pretty tiring, but hey, I guess we both got a thrill of a lifetime, am I right?" he said panting. He was holding two cans of soda with his magic, and opened one of them and took a sip out of it. "Ah. So, you want a drink?" Asked Gumball, handing her over the other can of soda.

Renee smiled, taking the can of soda and opening it with her magic. "Yea! I had so much fun! It was so much better than wasting my 13 hours, working on a new pair of headphones that are going out for sale next year.. I-i mean.. Nothing!!" She giggles nervously. Either she was expecting a gasp of amazement or just a regular cool. Whatever it was.. She wasn't looking forward to the answer. She sipped her can of soda with a smile on her face. "Oh man! Where did you get these?! They cost like 50 bits each!"

Renee smiled, taking the can of soda and opening it with her magic. "Yea! I had so much fun! It was so much better than wasting my 13 hours, working on a new pair of headphones that are going out for sale next year.. I-i mean.. Nothing!!" She giggles nervously. Either she was expecting a gasp of amazement or just a regular cool. Whatever it was.. She wasn't looking forward to the answer. She sipped her can of soda with a smile on her face. "Oh man! Where did you get these?! They cost like 50 bits each!"

 

"Oh these? There's a salespony just outside who sells these refreshments. Damn, they're good!" said Gumball, taking another sip. "And oh yes. About the headphones, I don't think any pair would be better than the ones I have right now. Look at 'em!" Gumball removed his headphones from around his neck and showed them to Renee. "See these? These are customised Sol Republic Tracks Air headphones. They're wireless. I can go up to 30 metres from the source of music without losing connection." The headphones were still the same shape as a normal pair. Only that the Sol Republic logo was replaced by a print of his cutie mark, which was a black arrow.

About the headphones, I don't think any pair would be better than the ones I have right now. Look at 'em!" Gumball removed his headphones from around his neck and showed them to Renee. "See these? Gumball was still trying to get things straight in his mind. "Dragged away! I-I-I think that's what happened! But, I don't remember how that happened though, or of it really did happen." he said. Gumball must have remembered Renee from somewhere. "Also, OUR parents? You mean that's we're, s-s-siblings!?" he exclaimed.
