So I am really enjoying all these "Pandas"

First and for most, I have to state, I HATE THIS TERM.

 

That said, it is a internet slogan, meme, inside joke and like most of the forum posters I am far to lazy, and self serving to actually type what I mean in the title. (Besides, Panda is just short hand for "stuff you want to see and are now seeing, thanks Hasbro!)

 

Ok so that boring ego stroking explanation aside lets get on with the show shall we!!

....Well I do!

 

Since 1989 when I strapped on the yet un-named "Brony helmet" and fell in love with MLP at the tender age of Six, I have been in a fantasy land every time I day dream. This of course leads to years of roleplaying, fan fiction writing or just laying up at night thinking about "What if...." as I try to get to sleep.

 

As of 2014 we, as a community, enslaved to spend our money on colored horse merch, have begun to get some spooned oatmeal back from Hasbro. BUT! Unlike the old boiled oats they had been feeding us, now it has over the past 3 years had more, and MOAR sugar poured on top.

 

What am I talking about?

 

........SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIING!!.....

Oh come on, we all do it!

 

This season, at its midway break, has been the most saliva dripping, drewl soaked, batch of sugar coated panda spooned oats yet!

 

We as Bronies love to "head canon".

 

"Sonata is a Taco freak!"

"Sunset Shimmer is a biker!"

"Celestia is addicted to Cake and sweets!"

 

 

So on and so on.

 

BUT!

 

It is the SHIPPING, we do between characters that clearly not couples, that makes it the most amazing.

 

I can point at a million ships that have been argued over a dozen times...but when DHX actually basicly had two characters kissing, living together, flank bumping, or saying things like "oh my we just NEVER get to spend time together anymore" and then proceed to pine for them for 22 minutes....come on.

 

Hasbro, you rock! Keep up the good work to this community of child-adults who just want to live in fantasy land as real life slowly sucks our souls, money, and social lives away. You are giving us all reasons to day dream and not feel guilty for it.

I could live without some of the fan pandering going on in the series.

Such as Vinyl Scratch and Derpy's inclusion in No Second Prances which felt really out of place and distracting.

Plus I would rather see more from characters like Celestia, Cheerilee, Big Mac, and Zecora instead.

There's a time and a place for Pandas, like that upcoming convention episode? If that's not filled to the brim with PANDAS and meta humor (and hopefully yet another visual pun about PANDAS) I'll be disappointed. But in your standard episode it should probably be kept to kind of a low level.
