Flash was ecstatic, he was flying through the crowded Manehatten streets at blinding speed. Racing towards the stadium at which the Wonderbolts were to perform soon.

 

"Oh, I can hardly wait!" The dark grey pegasus said to himself as he sped down another street.

"Oh, I can hardly wait!" The dark grey pegasus said to himself as he sped down another street.

Gumball Ravington, the most beloved musician in of all Equestria was crossing the road along the pedestrian lines on his way home. He wore his wireless headphones and walked along to the beat of the music he was listening to. Since his headphones were noise cancelling, he didn't hear much that was going on around him. It was as if he was in his own dimension, with only him and his music. As he made it to the other side of the road, Gumball saw something at the corner of his eye. He looked to his left and saw something shadowy rushing towards him. He didn't have enough time to identify what it was and it crashed into him like a missile under a second. "Oof!" Gumball exclaimed.

Gumball Ravington, the most beloved musician in of all Equestria was crossing the road along the pedestrian lines on his way home. Flash was so caught up in his excitement, that he failed to notice he was on a collision course with a white unicorn crossing the street. But when he did he tried his best to slow down, but still ran into the pony nonetheless. After the two of them stopped rolling, he got up and offered his hoof to the unicorn.

 

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, are you alright?" Flash asked.

Flash was so caught up in his excitement, that he failed to notice he was on a collision course with a white unicorn crossing the street. But when he did he tried his best to slow down, but still ran into the pony nonetheless. After the two of them stopped rolling, he got up and offered his hoof to the unicorn.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, are you alright?" Flash asked.

Gumball grunted as he was pulled up off the ground. "Don't worry, I'm fine." he said with a smile, just to show that wasn't bothered. "You look in a hurry indeed!mis something going on?" He asked. "Oh! Um, sorry if i'm wasting your time." he chuckled nervously. He looked at the pegasus for a second. He looked strong a tough and pretty slick. Gumball blushed a bit.

Gumball grunted as he was pulled up off the ground. "Don't worry, I'm fine." he said with a smile, just to show that wasn't bothered. "You look in a hurry indeed! Is something going on?" He asked. "Oh! Um, sorry if I'm wasting your time." he chuckled nervously. He looked at the pegasus for a second. He looked strong, tough and pretty slick. Gumball blushed a bit.

"Oh good," Flash said, releasing a sigh of relief. "The last time I crashed into someone I wound up hurting the both of us. I really need to be more careful."

 

"Oh, I'm off to a Wonderbolts show. It starts in a little bit and I was going to get there early to get a front row seat." He replied to the unicorn's question.

 

"And don't worry, you're not wasting my time. I've got at least another thirty minutes before the show starts. I just like to get there REALLY early. I've been attending their shows for as long as I can remember, they always amazed me with their complex maneuvers and incredible speed. Oh, where are my manners today? My name is Flash Lightning, and I wish we could have met under more, normal, circumstances."

 

He noticed the unicorn blush a little and realized what must be going through his mind. And he couldn't help but feel some of the same emotions. He was rather handsome, his mane sitting perfectly even after being ran into. The blue streak in his mane and the red one in his tail combined with the green of his eyes added a pop of color, seeming to demand that someone look.

"Oh good," Flash said, releasing a sigh of relief. "The last time I crashed into someone I wound up hurting the both of us. I really need to be more careful."

"And actually," Flash said, hoping above all hope that the DJ would say yes. "I got a deluxe ticket. Which means I can bring a friend along with me. Do you... Wanna come with me?"

Flash was awestruck, "Wait, you're DJ Gumball? I'm a huge fan of your music! I would have recognized you, but I've never actually seen any pictures of you before."

Flash returned after a moment with a tub of popcorn and two drinks. Barely managing to hold the enormous tub and both drinks in his forelegs while staying aloft.

 

"I didn't know what you wanted to drink, so I got a cola and an orange soda. Which do you prefer?" He said from behind the popcorn.

Flash returned after a moment with a tub of popcorn and two drinks. Barely managing to hold the enormous tub and both drinks in his forelegs while staying aloft.

 

"I didn't know what you wanted to drink, so I got a cola and an orange soda. Which do you prefer?" He said from behind the popcorn.

 

Gumball was constantly bumping into the most difficult decisions in his life, including this one. "Hmm.... I'll take the cola. No, wait, orange cola. Agh! No, um... cola, no, orange soda. Uhh...." Gumball had very sweet tooth. Everypony didn't call him DJ Gumball for no reason. He loved candy and anything sweet. "I'll.... I'll... go with the orange soda. Hehe." he chuckled, finally making a decision.

Gumball was constantly bumping into the most difficult decisions in his life, including this one. "Hmm.... I'll take the cola. No, wait, orange cola. Agh! No, um... cola, no, orange soda. Uhh...." "Alright then, here you go." Flash said as he handed his friend the soda, "let's go find some good seats, maybe there are still some open in the front row."

 

So he set off into the stadium's seating area, looking for the best possible spot to watch the show from.

"Damn, there's gotta be a seat somewhere around here." he said. Just then he saw two seats at the front row in the other side of the stadium. "Aha! There's a couple of seats over there and they're the only ones left! Come on, Flash! We gotta get to them!" Said Gumball as he ran over to the seats with Flash.

"Oh sweet Celestia! Please don't drop meeeee!" he yelled again. Although, he was having a little bit of fun too. "This must be the everyday life of a pegasus!" He thought to himself as they got closer to the other side.

It's not very special, but it's a living. And I enjoy it too, I mean, lightning is in my name. But something about being a Wonderbolt does sound pretty awesome..."

 

He trailed off, losing himself in his thoughts for a moment.

Flash was a little surprised by what Gumball had said.

"Me? A Wonderbolt? Nah, they're way better than me. Besides, I'm rather happy just living my normal life back in Ponyville. I work in the weather team, thunderstorm division to be precise. It's not very special, but it's a living. And I enjoy it too, I mean, lightning is in my name. But something about being a Wonderbolt does sound pretty awesome..."

"Trust me, you have the potential! With the way you flew that fast and the fact that you had enough strength to lift me, you're definitely qualified to join them in my opinion!" said Gumball. "Well, I guess the job of handling the weather back in Ponyville is still pretty important. Without you guys, we can't maintain a proper climate in Equestria. So, how's life back in Ponyville? Is it good? My life here in Manehattan is pretty good." he asked.

Flash blushed a little, "Thanks, I've never really been complimented that much before.

And, well, that depends on your definition of 'good'. Sure, my life as is right now is pretty good. But I'm not exactly on good terms with my parents. I'm living my life in a way that they aren't entirely supportive of, and we had quite a fight about it. That's when I left, got my job on the weather team, but I had to drop out of school for that, and started earning a solid income. Solid enough in fact for me to have my own house. Sure, I'm currently paying off a loan, but it beats dealing with my parents."

 

Flash looked off into the distance for a moment, "You know, I've never really opens up to anypony like this before. I guess I just felt that I could trust you."
