What episode has aged the best/worst?

Worst: I can't pick an episode out of season 1. That whole season has aged horribly. 

 

Best: The Return of Harmony holds up well. Especially with how awesome and maniacal Discord was.

Any episode from S1 at this point. 

 

And before you flame, let me just say trying to compare something like the interactions between Rarijack from season 1, to more modern ones are night and day.

 

They are acting like an old married couple now! Compare that to Sleepless in ponyville, different kettle of fish.

 

Or look at a character like Spike. In season 1 he had a purpose, now he doesnt even send letters anymore but is a hero in two different towns!!

 

At least ol Shining Armor is still the same beach bum we know and love.

Do you mean Look Before You Sleep?

 

For what it's worth, that was meant to be a watershed moment for them. At that point, their relationship hadn't developed like it has by this point. If they had started out with the same dynamic they have now, the relationship would just have been static, and that would be boring.
