Emerald flew up next to Crescent. "You not playing honey? I do believe you are it." Having a giggle at him. She flew off before he could tag her.

 

"Jr. when did you get so fast? Those damn bat wings are so overpowered." She huffed trying to out fly her brother despite his larger more powerful wings compared to her natural pegasus wings.

 

"Jr. Don't abuse your speed you know your sister is not as fast."

 

"Mom! I want to out run him."

 

"If you insist Jade."

Cresent smiled flying to emerald "he'll tire out soon" giving her a kiss he flew slightly ahead more looking for his son then focus on the game. Bat wings may be more muscel then a pegisi's wings but endurances wise pegisi always had bats beat in terms of longevity. He did not know if jr knew how to cloud crash safely for it.  

 

Jr meanwhile looked back seeing his sister lagging behind "ha I beat you!" he called out.

 

"don't work yourself too hard now jr" cresent called out spotting the youngling moving in "I'm still it after all" he smiled.

 

His sons eyes grew wide with a chalangeing smile he said "bet you cant get me" he then flew ahead of cresent.

 

Cresent lughed mockingly and began to go from cloud to cloud following his son "im coming to get yooouuuu" he said jokingly.

 

Jr laughed "na uh" and stick out his toung at cresent, who didn't see his sister flying to him catching up...

"Kids and boys swear I'm the only adult here." She flew after the trio a smile on her face regardless nice not to be queen and be a mother and wife for a little while. Jade was gaining to make fun of her brother.

 

"Dad's going to get you squirt!" She shouted out mockingly.

 

"Jade what have I told you about being mean to your brother."

 

"Sorry mom."

 

"You have to apologise to Jr. not me."

 

"But..." The word was met with Emerald's mother stare, freeze lava with that look, the young pegasus shivered before moving to say sorry to her brother.

@@Mentis Soliloquy, her brother didn't even hear her as he was focused on out flying his father who was getting to him his wings began to get tierd and cresent could see it in the colts body. "uh...dad" the colt said nervously

 

Cresent jumped out of a cloud  giving a playfull growl getting a lugh out of the colt and playfully talked his son mostly catching him from the gravity of falling through a cloud then anything else.

 

"grr I got you muhahaha" the father said playfully then tickeling his son. Soon as he rested the colt on a cloud his sister and mother caught up to them.

 

"told you I won" jr said

 

Cresent let his son win the tussel after all he was just a colt after all "yep you got me bud" he made a silly face getting a lugh out of both kids

 

"you two good for more?" he asked

 

his son yawned sleepily "sure thing dad!" he said yet his body said other wise and both parents could see it in their kids they needed sleep.

"Well you both know my answer you two off with back to castle we all need our rest been a long day." The face she gave recived nothing but a disappointed agreement from Jade who headed back to the castle. "You too jr." Who also departed slowly, assisted by his sister.

 

Emerald landed next to Crescent, her facd netural. "I hope you get over this, this bought of amnesia, you'll last ten seconds in court tommorrow otherwise, I really don't want to sit for two weeks. I want to play with the kids take them shopping and stuff."

"I'm trying love, and you wont need to do court tomorrow don't worry" cresent said stroking the mares mane as she sat by him. Amnesia....the word had a hollow sound to it. How could everything he'd went through be all a fabrication when he felt the blood run down his blade in the trials? Emeralds first blood lesson, jadas's torture to him by the water fall...an idea was forming

 

"emerald I don't supposed we still have contacts in ponyville, like zaccora?" it could be amnesia after all this was what he wanted. Being king, having two beautiful kids, emerald never looked so beautiful to him....but.....It felt off still.

 

"I think ill make a visit there sometime in a couple of days" he said. If any pony could help him now it would be his old zebra friend 

 

"besides it would be great for the kids to see the world outside of the castle" he said nuzzling his lover.

"Your really worrying me, we're due to tavel to Equestria for the annual nations talks next month, we can't just dart off to Ponyville. There's security, travel plans, diplomatic things to be done we are heads of our nation. But you seem to forget all this..." She looked away from him to the moon.

 

"Anyway the Zebra you mention you've met only once, you've only been to the nation of Equestria a hooful of time is your whole life anyway. I know her better than you anyway, I lived there before we met remember? But do you?" Concern now apparent on her face.

Cresent seeing the concern around her face moved his wings over his wife "I do, its just" how could he explain this was the exact opposite of his life?

 

He stroked her main "you've been stressed more then the usual kingdom stuff we have to do. I guess its been getting to myself as well, a vacation would help us relax more I think" he said kissing her neck.

 

Also he had a hunch zaccora could give him more answers then what ever docter they had in manity for him, "your right tho, maybe during the nations talks eh?" he reasoned trying to sound like his usual self. Or this worlds version of usual for him that is, he then realized he needed to say more. What would he usually do seeing her like this?  

 

"you know I keep loving how your mane reflex off the moon, Jade seems to have a similar thing going on with her. That'll drive them boys nuts for sure" he said stroking it

Her face changed at the hair comment. "You trying to butter me up for something? You always want somthing when you compliment my hair." She gave him a smirk.

 

She got up turning back to the castle, looking over her shoulder at him. "If you hurry up I might allow that sweet talk to sway me." She smiled again then flew back to the castle...

He smiled following his wife back to the castel once there he was greeted by another butler pony "sir the young ones are about to sleep sould I tuck them in?"

 

"no thanks um...."

 

the butler pony blinked at him "Xavier my lord"

 

"sorry, right X listen my memorys been off so far today so" 

 

"Say no more my lord i'll fetch the royal records for you" the pony took a bow and made his way towards the library.

 

Seeing emerald now after giving her a kiss he said "come on lets tuck the wee ones in beautiful" giving her a nuzzle. He had to admit this father thing was starting to feel good

"Of course let them see Luna with smiles." She leads him to the children's room where the pair are bouncing on their beds. "Hey come now that's not going to bed guys."

 

"But mom we've got all this energy we have to use!"

 

"Use it tommorrow, bed both of you." The reluctant pair got into their beds.

"daddy why do we sleep when the sun gos up?" asked Jr

 

"part of being nocturnal son" cresent said tucking the colt in "staying awake too long could make you older"

 

"so you mean if I stay up I'll grow a mustash like you?" Jr said pipping up

 

"no silly you stay up too late you wont see night mother luna when you sleep will you?" he says patting the colts head with a smile.

 

"uh,,,yes?" the colt said scratching his head

 

"go to sleep son" he said kissing the colts for head

 

"go to sleep jade" he did the same as he tucked his daughter in

 

"daddy why dose luna show up when we sleep?" she asked

 

"because she wants phillys and colts to sleep well to rid of the bad dreams we all have so we can rest well." he said  

 

"but why do we have bad dreams?" she asks

 

"because sometimes princess we stay up too late" he says smilling and patting the phillys mane he got up and walked towards the door "night jr, night jade"

 

"night dad night mom" they both said before cresent closed the door. He sighed "i like this father thing" he said

"I'm Suprised you say that it took ten years of begging for you to have foals with me, honestly this is you in a good mood with the kids. It's well lovely for you to be like this actually." Giving him a kiss.

 

"Care to go to bed?" Winking at him, before strutting off past him.

@@Mentis Soliloquy, Cresent blinked, ten years? dang talk about stingy for even himself to do. He still didn't know much about vamp reproduction but this was defintly something to take note on. He smiled following his wife towards the bed chamber.....

 

a few hours later   

 

Cresent lay there still awake even though he was physically tired from the evenings activists it was his mind that couldn't let him rest. The images of being sucked up out of the bed, the warning from the assassin, the odd voice that rang out his head that sounded familiar. Try as he might he still couldn't make sense of it all.  

 

more importantly his lack of hearing the others blood beats around him. It felt unnerving to say the least, he then remembered Xavier getting the royal records. Slowly without trying to wake his wife up he moved out of bed and made his way towards the library seeing

Xavier "my lord, I'm surprised your still up" the butler said

 

"just couldn't add things up you have the records?" cresent asked

He nodded. "Of course, it took me a while to gather up your actual reign so far." He had a rather impressive amount of papers on a desk for the king or both of them to go over. He stood next to the dimly lit desk. "Do you require more light your highness?"

 

Crescent did not have the eyes as Emerald did, but he should be ok being a thestral.

(force of habbit sorry bro) Cresent's  eyes went wide seeing the tower of papers "I did all this, dang im a busy guy no more light needed maybe we can....get the main big events first. The small stuff ill look over tomorrow" He said still impressed by the stack 

 

"um, lets start at how me and emerald met" he asked now feeling sorry for the pony

 

"also do you want some cider or something, I feel like an ass having you pile this all up" he said

 

Clearly he wasn't use to having a butler

The butler was off taken by his casual attitude. "Um sir? I um don't drink on duty, it was no bother to aquire all of this gave me a change for somthing to do." The pony walks around the desk taking a portfolio and placing it to Crescent's front.

 

"From memory this is the trade/diplomatic mission to Equestria you met the Queen. It was...your 2nd trip to Equestria I belive." He opens the book, pointing out several images. Most of them were of VIPs he went through the mission in detail for some time until he flicked another page revealing a Image of Emerald she looked like a normal pegasus in guard uniform. "You seem drawn to each others presence."

 

Another image revealed him kissing her while what seemed her to be on duty another guard behind them as they flanked a door. "Then you just walked up to her and kissed this mare, well she naturally smacked you in the mouth. That act alone nearly started a war, but you saved the day." The butler chuckled. "After that you pursued her and she liked it from what I've heard, rest is history."

As the butler told this version of how they met cresent started to chuckle which soon turned into a full laugh, "she punched me after I kissed her on a diplomatic mission wow" he breathed relaxing now as that was not what he was expecting.

 

"well then I'm glad that's still their" he said rubbing the recent bite mark he gotten from emerald.

 

"her being a vampire did I know that right away or did she tell me much later. Jr said he's hearing blood hopfully I can help him with it" he said. looking at the picture of the two ponys kissing.

"Oh no she didn't or it was not public knowledge." He fetched another folio, replacing the current one. "From information gathered later it was found that only Sapphire, Emerald's younger sister was aware of the Queens affliction. The pair of them being guards allowed for her to remain undetectable in Equestria."

 

He paused clearing his throat. "This was all before your coronation, you were not even in the running to be king due you not being like most of the royal family. Many sought to split you a noble prince from a farm filly, Emerald being caught feeding on a death row mate...was quite a blow to you from what my predecessor told me."

 

"But after time you accapted why she'd not told you, with Emerald now a confirmed vampire she took the blood trail as your "blood-linked" won the trail and you both became the royal ruiling pair."

Cresent blinked after that for a bit, beforee he got here the family was un easy with him bringing an outsider vamp in like emerald, he looked at his hoofs remembering his battle with his uncle confessing about willow....Willow!

 

Cresent looked up at the file seeing the pictures of emerald fighting his uncle instead of him. It felt like the roles had been put on a full 180.

 

"who died during the blood trial's, and is darklight.....still mad at me. I remember her uncle, father dying she didn't take to well"

 

her voice came to her head moments before he entered the trail 'don't let them win, just promise not t kill them' 

 

"and this might be the amnisa talking but is willow still alive?" he asked

"The Trials were a abysmal affair, I remember watching it when I was a colt." Again another folio was brought out. "Your cousin has no Issues with you, your magastiy. Emerald well she's come to accept her father's actions were honor less, they are at peace over the trails but it took time."

 

"Your brother Prince Willow? Well of course he's alive, servers as ambassador to Equestria, so he's mostly in Canterlot. Isn't he geting married soon?" The butler paused, scrathing his head. "I don't really keep up so much with celebrity gossip."

@@Mentis Soliloquy, Cresent sat there dumbfounded, his brother is alive, willow is alive in this world......that means his uncle dark heart and cousin wane are lickly alive....he looked back at the other portfolio he doubted that traitor was alive.....but his brother was....The bat pony stood up from the table looking at his older brother picture. "he's alive, if hes alive then..." he didn't realize he had tears forming.

 

"that will be all for tonight Xavier thanks....tomorrow lets going over the kids's files....I feel like im forgetting something about them soon coming up but cant put my hoof on it..." he then turned going back upstairs to the balcony to look at the manity night sky again.

 

of all the changes this world had he felt....more confused then happy but still joy was in him...maybe...maybe he could get used to...that nail driving pain hit him again like before hoof. with that same voice

 

"LIES! WAKE UP YOU FOOL!!!"

 

Cresent let out another cry of pain clinging his hoofs to his head to try to stop the pain

A shadow snuck up bedind him with a quick hug. "Your not sleeping hun, you usually do during our nights." She kissed his cheeck, then joined him on the balcony looking out on her city. "I'm not sure what is wrong with you but there is somthing."

 

She paused to think. "Your not a changeling, and your not an imposter either. I think you actually Crescent, but not my Crescent." She looked at him. "I've noticed what you've said it's not amnesia you don't start thinking things that never happened with that." She paused for a moment.

 

"Cres, how old do you think you are? How old do you think I am?"

feeling the hug and kiss cresent opend his eyes seeing emerald his head was still pounding from what ever that was "I't might be the am-" the pain happened again this made cresent collapse again as he was beginning to get back up

 

"LOOK AROUND YOU THIS IS NOT YOUR HOME!!!!!" the voice said in his head again

 

"im 21 and" he tried to say but the pain this time seem to hit every nerve making another scream come from the bat

 

"DONT MAKE ME DO THIS CRESENT!!!" the voice said again

 

"stop it! make it stop!" he cried out cling his head in agony he couldn't tell who he would wake up but by now the butler and the docter were galloping to them (going to work will respond after work tonight npcs and setting is your control)

Crescent would wake in a hospital bed, straps on his legs to stop him struggling which he'd been doing a lot since he passed out.

 

In the room was a doctor, nurse and Emerald talking in hushed tones about nothing of importance. None of them had noticed that he'd came around. They continued talking about nothing of importance...
