[Mentis Soliloquy 3,025]

Everyone seemed to crash into the door at once. Sapphire and Applejack, Emerald in her gear now and the guard and Coolwhip arguing. 

 

"Sapphire your ok!?"

"Sis vampires!"

 

"I know! Wait what?! You said plural!"

 

"There's a bunch of them in Suger Cube!"

 

They both bowled the other guard over rushing into the door looking for Twilight. "I'll check the Library."

"I'll check her room... Twilight!"

A friendly all to recognizable dragon came down the stairs seeing emerald in her gear "emerald? thought you were looking for your colt friend still, he doing ok?"

 

Menawhile in the libay the alicorns ear twitched hearing the hurreyd hoofsteps the alicon turned in her chair a note with rairtys writing on it "ah just who I wanted to see, And AJ perfect listen we don't have much time AJ you remember one of my guards emerald right?"

 

"yes um you do know her"

 

"yes aj, how much of your hunting training do you still have"

 

"is that really a question? you know its my specialty aside from appels also what in the tanaction is happing?!"

 

"gather the girls and your company we'll meet in the map room in 5"

She looked at sapphire "report" she demanded soundling more like a commander then he usual self, the earth pony nodded and took off out of the castel.

"Well I went to Suger Cube after I finished work and then vampires attacked me and Pinkie, I came here to get you and stuff she's holding them off as we speak so we must hurry or she may be overwhelmed by them and knowing how my sister was I don't fancy her chances to live if they defeat her... hell Emerald still has issues and that was a long time ago."

After the Alicorn took all this in she sighed plopping he head on the desk, she moved back up blinking "right, reminde to talk to your sister and her coltfriend after this mess. In the meantime you and a detachment of the gurad will go to pinkie's appel jack will follow with reinforcements I will follow you soon"

 

"I would advise staying her you majesty" the all too familer earth pony said coming into the room

 

"excuse me?"

 

"A blood rage turns up at your home and while sending your guards and friends after him is helpful the moment you show up their all his focus will be on you and if I know cresent. His blood rage will use any one and thing to get to you, in fact hence this attack. You remember the blood rage notes right?" 

 

"the darker side of the bitten pony so what, we have the magic and he's not the worst iv faced"

 

"not yet"

 

The Alicorn stood up now glareing at the earth pony "with how many times ive saved equestira you think a mere monster could stop me?"

 

The earth pony in a surprising amount of tone and forece stomped his hoof on the ground a lot harder then sapphire could have though possible "this isn't your war your majesty only battle apon more to come. fluttershy turned is one thing if you show up and get turned you know what I will do along with your guards because it will be the only way now stay put and let the sapphire and us handel this" his tone dropped to a new one sapphire had never herd from him as he said all that.

 

The alicorns glare was still on the pony she sighed sitting down "fine, but its your head if this gos south"

 

"it wont, we have better odds then that" coolwhip said grinning then turning with sapphire to leave.....

 

Meanwhile at rairtys cresent was chugging the recoervy tea.

 

"carful dear you don't need to throw it all down now"

 

The batpony rolled his eyes at the mare and continued his drinking "I need to be their rarity before twilight gets involved trust me. and thanks for the tea" he said

 

the tea was one of the rare magical healing ones "where did you get it?"

 

"a good friend from the forrest as a favor"

 

The batpony smiled "zebra medicin, oh by the way about me being a"

 

the mare rolled her eyes "oh plese like I don't know more scandalis secrets that would topple goverments and kingdoms in a day. don't worry cresent let aunti rarity look after the clean up. now go save the day"

 

The bat pony blinked at that last statement unsure how to react, so he gave tha mare a hug and went out towards the door as he stepped outside and galloped toward the castel as quick as he could.

"So this is the plan then us what 4 or 5 go take on a bunch on angry newly turned vamps in close quarters, someone kill me now." 

 

"Sapphire shut up we are well trained plus we are the good guys."

 

"Yeah the good guys always win."

 

"Yes, yes they do."

 

The group Applejack, Coolwhip, Emerald, Sapphire and a few of their fellow guards headed off with haste towards Suger Cube...

coolwhip looked uneasy as the mare said that as they made their way to suger cube corner. "We need a plan dealing with mall this isn't like a normal terrorist pony gunning for twilight, think the opposite of cresent sapphire that's what we'll be facing. We need to get him pinned down to the point of injecting him" coolwhip said

 

"the only enjecting that's needed is a blast of garlic followed up with a silver dagger"

 

The earth pony chimed in

 

"not if we want our fav bat pony to make it alive after word"

 

"ya cant keep a blood rage contained coolwhip its ethier kill it or it kills you"

 

"and it would be the case if it WAS a simple blood rage THIS isn't" coolwhip shot back at appel jack

 

His words proved correct once they arrived at suger cube corner as what use to be the party/ baking place has turned into a rather bloody barricade with a new whole where the front door...no front half of the house use to be.

 

Some other ponys and even some of the local guard had arrived as back up poking there heads up shooting spells or arrows into the building as inside while not seen beams of magic, arrows, and sometimes chares flew back. Pinkie fired off her cannon a cry from the inside was herd then a large beam shot back hitting the cannon blowing it up sending pinki flying back into applejack.  

 

"Pinkie!"

 

The orange mare caught her in time, the pink pony had serious wounds but surprised them by getting up smilling wordlessly. a bandage was put on her neck as she moved up. She patted applejack then pointed towards the building. Cresent showed up their as well just as that happened some of the andiges still on him but he did look stronger then last time emerald had seen him

 

"looks like im late sorry everypony" he hugged emerald pecking her cheek with a kiss "so talk to me what ya'll thinking?" he asked

Sapphire moved to the building to start pouring more magically fire into the building joined by the rest of the guards present. "We will defeat them ponies!" She shouts firing shot after shot leading them in...

 

Emerald looked to him. "Not sure, Coolwhip will have a plan knowing that cleaver bugger, so lets find him." Which they did a short time later. "Coolwhip come on you have a plan right, apart from going in there and killing them all?" She looked to the half ruined building. "That my sister is currently doing... SAPPHIRE!?" Who was too busy punching a vampire in his nose.

"right then we need to lure mall out or get him in the open he wont go down by regular means" the earth pony said. Appeljack and her group had joined sapphire on the barricade fighting off the wave f vamponys come out of the building.

 

"a flank then he'll be expecting it but it could still work" cresent chimed in

 

"exactly why we need to be more carfule being corned he will be unpridictiule if he fights any way like you cress" coolwhip said it was then he puled out what looked like a syringe.

 

Cresent eyed the syringe "coolwhip the hells that?" he asked

 

"insurance I made a while ago just in case" he said then looking at emerald. "once cresent has him corned you need to inject mall with this"

 

"coolwhip what is that"

 

"a cure"

 

Cresent blinked at the vile then at the earth pony, "wait, you mean to tell me all this time ive"

 

"not now cresent il explaine later you or emrald need to administer this to him in order to loose his powers. He loos's his powers he's as helpless as a any pony with out power"

 

"There has to be another way"

 

"all right name one, go ahed" the earth pony said glare at his old friend

 

Cresent glared back, then sighed "corner him get him to surrender, emeralds still a vamp she might be abel to-" 

 

"your throwing your mare friend at him?"

 

Cresent stopped what he was saying looking at his lover, she could tell he played it out in his head. He shook his head then looking at coolwhip he said

 

"all right im stumped we'll inject him with this 'cure' but I swear to luna coolwhip this had better be the only time it used on any vamp or I will bleed you dry" he said taking the vile carfully

"Er boys, stop having a peeing contest eh? I am the trained soldier here and the only vampire on the good guy side so I will beat him to a pulp and then you can stick him with what ever that stuff is. I'd be a poor excuse for a guard if I sent in my coltfriend into a fight and didn't fight myself."

Coolwhip blinked at emerald "peeing contest, that's a new one" he said

 

Cresent looked at emerald then nodded "your right" he looked back at coolwhip still annoyed "how long do you think you can keep these vamps pinned down?" the bat pony asked.

 

It was at that moment as if right on cue a blast hit the barricade in a right read beam of sorts sending deree and ponys left and right Cresent going of instinct blocked the blast preventing it getting to emerald while coolwhip seemed to have been flung to the side by the blast itself.

 

A victorious cheer came from the vamps as the wave began heading directly towards the two lovers. Cresent pulling out his gauntlet tried to activate the blade...nothing happened

 

"oh youv got to be-" befor he could finish a vamp charged him in an instcint cresent hoof shot out towards the vamps screeching mouth reaking its jaw sending it down. He decided to start using the gaintlet more as as bluging wepon then how he usualy used it and like a hydra two vamps rounded by the at pony closeing in on emerald.

"You two newbies are gonna regret this..." Before either of them had really processed what she said, she had moved it speed and sent on flying on his back side. "I am not a push over like the rest!" She bared her fangs to the other. "Your next!" She moved to her with more speed to strike at her neck, she wanted to avoid death if she could help it, this may of been a vain hope.

While she may try to avoid more death some strikes are made harder then one thinks as the new vamps neck snapped cleanly. The 1st one knocked backed perked up her ears hearing the snap, bolting up moving impressively fast the new vamp pony charged into emerald, tears in her eyes as the eyes looked wild then she back off strangely "No! I cant!" she said then her eyes went back to the familiar blood rages emerald had seen in many other blood rage ponys she spoke again this time with a different voice "but I WILL!" she charged past emerald going for cresent

 

Weather emerald would intercept the blood rage seeing cresent fight would be a odd sight to her.....

 

Every time she saw him fight weather sparing or otherwise he had the blure movement for every strike but now....It was obvious he still hadn't gotten use to his non vamp self as he was trying to fight off a blood rage. He seemed slow, defending then more striking with his moments.....

"Poor things..." She moves to ram the charging vampire from her intended target, her aim is true and she is smashed into a wall. "Crescent are you ok?!" She is checking on him in his normal state now as he's not the quick fighter he once was. She looks to her sister who is beating the living crap out of some poor welp. "Wow my sister has a temper."

As she saw cresent finish off the vamp with a knock blow with his wings he looked towards emerald. Seeing him with a small wound on his muzzle he said "ive been better, still getting use to this" he answered

 

The fighting raged on around them as they saw appel team of vamp hunter putting up a hell of a fight against mutipule vamps with no mercy being shown left and right. Cresent only glared at the orange pony who saw his look

 

"don't worry about me take care of this mall before-"

 

A vamp tried to catch her off guard but she was faster turning what looked like natural with her revolver gauntlet firing it into the vamp sending it flying back missing an eye

 

"I said stay down!" The earth pony said about to pull the trigger again

 

Cresent turned away not wanting to see what happened as the shot went off, it still didn't feel right noticing a gap in the line cresent noded towards the whole "come on this way shoud get us too him" he said moving forward with emerald.

 

Getting into the building proved difficult as more vamps blocked the way but these were what looked like the guards to the hallway still blaring operatic music.The guard vamps had armor on similar to the gryphons in manity but off in terms of the amount of blood on them. The two being both batponys didn't help the lovers either as they charged forward

"We have to get past these guys to get at Mall and end this we're killing citizens of the town at this rate the bloodshed needs to end!" She charged forward into one of the gurads going over him as he ducked under her strike.

 

"Come on big boy, just hurry up and die!" She took another sweeping strike at him with her halberd in its axe form for the close quaters fighting.

As the axe end was about to follow home the guard parried it with the blade in its moth, wheather emerald noticed it before or not it wasn't an ordinary sword the armored blood rage had. It was a buster blade, seeing a pony wielding one was rare as few unicorns could do it succesfull. Yet here stood a blood rageing earth pony with a buster blade in its mouth. Emerald would have to rethink her plan as the pony spun the halberd blade around then made a swipe for her own neck......

 

Cresent didn't have much luck ethier as the pony who charged him "oh for the love of" he said dogeing a strick by the war hammer the 2nd guard had. things didn't look good for the lovers...

[Mentis Soliloquy 3,025]

A beam of Blue light almost wiped out the four of them, sending the two guards into the dirt. From the source was a panting Sapphire. "You... two are... fucking... useless..." She panted the magic had taken it's tole on her. She regained a little composure and lifted her head up, but the magic grasping her sword was starting to falter as she reached her phyiscal limits. "Never... send ponies... to do a... unicorns job... go get... Mall!!"

“reminde me not to piss her off” cresent said nodding at the unicorn then the two lovers made their way down the hall. What greeted them looked oddly fmiler to the two of them s it was mall how was playing the notes to the opra that seemed to be coming out of a old fashonied record player. Mall looked up from the piano seeing the two vamps he stopped playing the singing comeing into to an end.
 

“well its about damn time, seriously I was going to be disappointed if you two didn’t show up, ok well except for you.”
He stood up from the piano and glared at cresent

 

“your just pathetic, soming here with your mare friend like a security blanket a colt would have outside of the house”
 

“mall we don’t have to do-“ began cresent
 

“oh just shut up”
 

“Mall, listen call off the attack now before more get hurt”
 

“more? Your worried about more getting this gift of ours?” he said leaving the piano stool spredding his wings
 

“damint mall if it has to have this many deaths its not a gift it’s a curse! Why cant you see that?!”
 

“now he admits it” the blood rage smiled
 

“and what of you emey is this a curse or a gift for you, has you mentor. ….No lover…no cheater helped with that or just giving you more reasons to give in?”
 

“mall don’t you dare”
 

“ever wondered why he preached the reason to lock away your friend, your inner self? I know why…I know why he’s scared of you…more then you know” the blood rage’s smile was haunting.

 

“or do we just cut to the chase and kill each other now?” he said as he glided on the top of the piano showing two gauntlets with red emeralds instead of blue ones like cresents. The blood rage activated them both with a loud crackeling sound but instead of the blue cresent had malls was a fire almost anger like red.

 Cresent knew along with emerald this could go badley if the wrong thing was said but maybe the right thing could be said….

"Why do you two keep talking? Mall you a fuck head no one likes you and your wrong, Crescent we're talking to Mall he's blind, deaf and dumb... can we just kill him now?" She pulled out her halberd and extended it. "How about you come here and kiss Cloudslicer she's a lovely lass."

"finaly a pony that has balls!" the blood rage said almost jeering and dove for the two of them

 

Cresent's sighed activating his own gauntlet....but no blade happened still. dogeing the strike from malls blade he tumbled picking up a stray cutless in his teeth then charged the blood rage.

 

Mall meanwhile held cloudsdale with his blade in a blocking stance with emeralds he was surprised the hallbird was still intack as the red and steel blades clashed

 

"the hells with your hallbird its still holding its own" the blood rage thought out loud then seeing cresent come in from the side he parried the halbired deflecting cresents slash's with the cutlass. In a blurred moction he was there one moment then the next he slammed into emerald knocking her back a few feet

 

"down lassy the men are talking"

 

He rounded on cresent his first blade deflecting cresents reaction the 2nd blade aiming for the batponys neck. Cresent grabbed the red gauntlet locking the two in place.

 

"emerald, the cure now!" cresent cried out

 

malls ears perked up "you son of a bitch, you realy have lost it" The blood rage head-butted cresent but to emeralds and amlls surprise cresent still had the two ponys locked in there stances...for now.....

"Dosen't Coolwhip have the feking cure!?" She turned and ran to find Coolwhip and get the cure off him so she could get Mall with it, praying that Crescent could hold Mall off in the mean time, which she knew would be the case, Mall would wait for an audience before killing him.

"its ok we do need to have a proper 1on1" The blood rage growled contiueing to struggle then kicking cresent off him. As he turned toward emerald he was talked again by cresent

 

"don't you dare think about it your fight is with me" he said.....

 

As emerald would make her way through the battle grounds around her vamps and regular ponys were still crossing blades, shooting magic, and even go hoof to hoof in some case's. Finding coolwhip wouldn't be too hard as he and appe;jack seemed to be back to back. the mare firing off her pistol and the colt blocking blows and stricking back in a blur as vamps fell around them left and right.

 

Coolwhip had the look of a calm monk one would not expect to see on the blue ponys face while applejack had, well what every vampony hunter would look like in there position, seeing emerald she called out "the hey you doing out here? your supposed to be taking out mall!"

 

one vamp who got close was met with the earth ponys hard punch then bullet to the face sending it flying back almost ontop of emerald.

She moved out of the way of the body being bucked her way. "It's got something to do with that dumb cure of yours, you berk!" She ducked under a strike and punched the offending mare in the ribs breaking a few as she waited for the lights to come on in Coolwhips head.

"oh that's right" coolwhip said rather calmly breaking a vamps neck that made a near bite too him pulling the vile tucked in his tail he tossed it towards emerald, a vamp seeing the vile  eyes went wide and dove for it "NO!" she cried out catching it in her teeth then began to gallop away from the battle  

 

coolwhip was about to begin chase when 3 vamps blocked him a 4th pining him down coolwhip held the 4ths muzzle away "get it emerald!" he cried out

 

Appel jack seeing coolwhip go down shot into the crowd of vamps "get off of him!"

 

three blue blures flew over head following the runner and 4 dark blures with the tell tail sign of being vamps flew behind them trying to intercept them.

She did just that and started after the other vampire.Who was insanely quick for just being turned, but for her poor sake nothing of the speed Emerald's age gave her her over such a fresh fledgling. She'd catch up to the mare rather quickly putting one hoof up to catch her back legs tripping her into the dirt...
