Are Unicorns horns sensitive?

In one episode you see Sweetie Bell flick Rarity's horn to disrupt her magic and it kind of bounces. I was wondering if perhaps they are sensitive? As in if you tried to pick one up by the horn if it would be painful.

I dunno, I kind of think of them as being like Rhino horn in texture - when Celestia and Luna touch horns (when the Crystal Empire is first saved, if memory serves), the sound it makes sounded like something hard and rough (to me at least).

 

But, that doesn't mean that they aren't sensitive - in my head canon, I'd say they weren't very sensitive, but not immune to touch either...if that makes sense :s

Well biologically speaking I'd say it's just the same as other animals, but considering the fact that they go all wobbly if the pony is sick or something might mean that the horn's structure is influenced by the magic that flows thought it.
