He sighs "I couldn't ask the princesses to intervene, I love Starling with all my heart, as does Candy, but it would be unfair on others for the Princesses to intervene on our behalf. All we can do is persevere and hope for the best" he says, gently picking up Starling and hugging her in his lap, "shh, I'm sorry you had to see that sweetheart." He nuzzles her lovingly, "your mummy and daddy love you very, very much" he says kissing her forehead.

"Do you know how long before you have until you have to take these tests? Is there anything I can do to help? I'm just trying to come up with any idea on how everything will be okay, but I've got nothing. I'm really sorry sir. I just feel so useless, but I don't want to give up. I want to see Starling with this family." Dynamo felt Starling lifted off his lap and was held close in Chocolate's arms. He lowered his head a little as his ears fell to their sides. He clenched his fist in frustration of his weakness and he closed his eyes. A few tears escaping and cascading down his muzzle.

Candy comes up to see what was taking so long, arriving just in time to hear what Dynamo said. She walks up to him and lifts his chin up with a gentle and caring hand "Come now dearie, I know you want to see her with this family, I have faith that we will pass these tests, I mean.." she looks to Orange who was now happily playing with Starling and her father "We look after Orange when most other ponies would have had her aborted or given her up for adopting. If that isn't the sing of how we will love and care for Starling, then I don't know what is" she says, gently wiping his tears away, "Sometimes having faith is all you can do, and sometimes it's enough, we will pass those silly tests, I just know it" she says, planting a soft and loving kiss on his cheek with a smile.

Dynamo felt someone lift his chin up and saw that it was Candy Hearts. She wiped away his tears as he listened to her talk. While she was talking, Dynamo looked to Chocolate and Orange playing with Starling and seeing them so happy. This caused Dynamo to smile at the scene before him and felt Candy kiss his cheek. He looked at her, nodded his head and replied, "Thank you Mrs. Hearts and you're right. If Orange was in the same situation I would fight just as hard as I am now because I love her. I promised to always be there for Orange and Starling and I can't get myself feeling down and out about this. It would be nice to fight them at their own game by playing them in a game of my own. Just like how I did when I defended Orange yesterday at the arcade, but those people are smarter than that. I'll just have faith that everything will be okay. If there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask me." Dynamo felt the hope he had felt he just lost return to him.

Candy smiles "All I ask is for you to look after my baby girls, Starling wouldn't stop talking about her 'big brother' all night last night" she giggles, petting the sweet little batfilly on the head "such a sweetie, it's hard to imagine why she would have been abandoned" she would say with a sigh then looks to Dynamo "I heard about what happened at the arcade, you handled yourself really well" she says with a smile.

 

Orange giggles "He showed the mean boy who's boss" she says as she goes back to playing with Starling and her father.

Dynamo smiled and nodded toward Candy. He placed a hand over his heart and smiled softly from he learned about from Starling. "I promise to always look after your daughters and be there for them, ma'am. It's a promise of a lifetime. She really is a sweetie. I don't know why somepony would abandon someone like her, but I'm glad. She found ponies who will love her and will always take care of her." 

 

Dynamo couldn't help but blush and rub the back of his neck from the praise that was given to him. "Thank you and it's nothing really. I promised that I would protect Orange and I always will." Dynamo smiled as he walked toward the group and began to play with Starling and the others. As that was going on, a though occurred to him and he asked, "So where do we go from here? Also, are you two still up for some shopping and a trip to the library?" Dynamo asked as he smiled and turned to look at his marefriend and his sister.

Candy nods "Well, breakfast is still to be eaten, feel free to join us" she says as she begins walking down the stairs again.

Chocolate smiles at Dynamo "Come on, we should let Orange get ready for the day, I'm sure she'd be more than happy to still go shopping and then to the library" he says, standing up with a firm hand on Dynamo's shoulder.

 

Meanwhile, Orange looks up at him and nods "Yep, cannot wait to show Twilight little Starling" she giggles

Dynamo felt Chocolate's hand on his shoulder and he nodded. "Thank you for the offer ma'am, but I ate before I got here. Okay, that sounds like a plan sir." He said as he picked up Starling and looked at Orange while smiling. "Ready to go down stairs and have a fun day, little sister? Yeah that sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'll see you downstairs in a bit." He then left the room to head downstairs.

Orange nods and nuzzles him, she was blushing though as he had now seen her in her nightie, "O-okay" she says softly  and waits for everyone else to leave the room before getting into some less revealing clothes. A few minutes later, she walks down the stairs wearing a nice summer dress that had pictures of kittens and a pattern of kitten paws all over it and a pair of summer sandals.

 

She then sits down and begins to eat her breakfast, "We're going to go to the orphanage first, right mummy?" she asks

 

Candy nods "Yes sweetheart, so that we don't have any problems in the future"

Dynamo reached the kitchen and placed Starling in her high chair. He then sat down in a chair and waited patiently for Orange. After a couple of minutes, he heard Orange walking downstairs towards the kitchen. He turned around to see her and blushed at the site before him. His jaw fell slightly as he couldn't help but stare at his marefriend. He shook his head to gather his bearings and replied, "You look really beautiful, Orange. The kittens and kitten paw patters makes you look even cuter, as well. You look like a cute and adorable little kitty cat." He then imagined Orange as a kitten and the blush intensified on his muzzle.

 

After she sat down, he heard where the group was heading off to first. Dynamo nodded his head at the reason on going to the orphanage. "It's better to get it out of the way instead of putting it off. I'm still feeling a little nervous about how this will go. I just got to remember to have faith and everything will be okay." Dynamo said as he twiddled his thumbs in his lap to calm himself down.

orange giggles and tilts her head "meow" she pretends to mew and giggles again before resuming to eat her breakfast, as she reaches over to get her orange juice, she accidentally knocks it over and she then begins to cry.

 

Candy sighs and cleans up the mess, while Chocolate gets out a special kitty sippy cup, also comforting Orange "It's okay sweetie, look, kitty seems happy to see you" he says, giving her the sippy cup, but orange shakes her head, "Sweetie, I am sure Dynamo still sees you as a big girl" he says, filling the cup up with juice "Please" he says softly, feeling nearly at the end of his rope.

Dynamo smiled and chuckled at how cute Orange was acting. The meow made him blush a little, Seeing Orange knock over the glass of juice and cry made Dynamo feel sad for her. He watched as Chocolate brought out a kitty sippy cup and began to fill it up. Seeing Chocolate be at a loss of what to do, Dynamo decided to help out. He got out of his chair, placed a hand on Chocolate's shoulder and replied, "Don't worry, Mr. Swirl. I'll try and help." He then went over to where Orange was sitting and got bent down to face her. He lifted her chin up and began to wipe away the tears that stained her face.

 

"Shh, don't cry my love. It's okay and it was an accident. We've all had that happen to us every now and again. You don't have to be worried about drinking from the sippy cup either. It won't make me think any less of you in the slightest. I'll always see you as a big girl and I love you playful nature. I love your eyes, your smile, your laugh, and I love how you can be a child at heart. I love you for you and nothing will ever change that, I promise." He said as he leaned in and gave a quick peck to her lips. He leaned back and looked at her with love filled eyes and a soft and loving smile. All with a soft blush dusting his muzzle.

 She sniffles and looks up at him "R-really? E-even though I h-have to drink from a s-sippy cup?" she asks with a soft blush, clutching her prized sippy cup from her foalhood. She then begins to sip on it, rather cutely at that.

 

Candy smiles and sighs softy as she nuzzles her husband "I really cannot think of any stallion better than Dynamo to be our little Orange's coltfriend" she says

 

Chocolate smiles and nods in return "Indeed, though it would be nice to meet his parents" he says with a wink to Dyanmo

Dynamo nuzzled Orange and nodded his head. "Yes, I do. Even if you drink from the sippy cup, nothing will ever change my view on how I see you. I think you're kind, sweet, funny and beautiful. When I met you all that time ago, I told you I had a crush on you. When we hung out and became a couple yesterday, my feelings for you grew and they still are. I was afraid to say it before because I didn't want to rush our relationship, but I know in my heart it's true. I love you Orange." He said as he watched her drink from her sippy cup and found it rather cute. He then began to recite a song he remembered hearing.

 

 

After finished singing he looked down and blushed. He then looked back up to her before replying, "It's just like one of the lines in the song. I'm yours Orange. I love you, now and always. I love you and I hope we will always be together forever." He smiled as he heard Chocolate's response. He looked over to where her parents were sitting, saw Chocolate winking at him and replied, "It would be nice for my parents to meet you. I'll talk to them about it tonight and see what they say."

Orange giggles and blushes as she continues to cutely sip on her juice. She flicks her ears cutely and puts it down to finish her breakfast. She sees Starling try to reach for the sippy cup, she starts to pout a little as "kitty" was quite special to her, "M-my.." she says softly.

 

Candy giggles "It's okay sweetie, we got a spare one for her" she says, getting out another sippy cup that had a puppy shape and look to it.

Dynamo stood back up, went back to his seat and sat down. As he saw Starling get her doggy sip cup, he silently chuckled at the interaction between the two sisters. He closed his eyes as he thought to himself, 'So much has gone on and it's only been about a day. The interaction with this family is just nice and fun in a way. It's almost like how it is with my parents, when I think about it. I'm really glad to be considered a part of this family. No matter what, I know things will go well at the orphanage.' He opened his eyes as everypony was just about finished eating.

 

As breakfast had just finished, he got up from his chair went over to Starling. He lifted her out of her high chair and held her in his arms. "So what do you say little sister? Ready to go get adopted and then have a fun filled day?" He asked as he looked at her with a happy and confident look on his muzzle.

Candy smiles and gently hugs her daughter "see sweety, just because you're not as mature as most mares your age and you have trouble with some things, it doesn't mean that your cute coltfriend would think less of you, if anything, I'd say he thinks it makes you even more cute and adorable" she says with a giggle and kisses Orange on the forehead.

 

Orange blushes and nods, as she continues to sip on her drink, her ear flicks at Dynamo's question and she nods with a giggle

 

Starling giggles as she hugs into Candy's embrace "Yep, I cannot wait to meet Pwincess Twilight" she giggles

Dynamo grinned at Starling's response and replied, "Awesome! Then what are we waiting for? Let's get going!" He began to race out of the kitchen and out of the shop before stopping and realizing something. He went in reverse and made it back to his original position in the kitchen area, before replying, "Uh...Sorry, but does anypony know how to get to the orphanage? I'm not the best when it comes to directions." Dynamo chuckled while rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. His whole face blushed red in embarrassment.

Candy giggles "So full of energy and hope" she says with a bright smile and picks up Starling, holding her close "It's just down the road sweetie, but best wait for us this time" she says with a soft giggle and looks at him, "he's going to be a wonderful husband to Orange when the time comes" she thinks to herself before putting Starling into a stroller, "Come now darlings, we're off to start a beautiful day" she says with a giggle.

Dynamo nodded at the information given to him and scratched the side of his muzzle with his finger. "Thanks for letting me know ma'am and yeah, that's my bad. Sometimes I have a habit of just getting so excited, that I just rush off without thinking. It actually happened this morning with my parents. After coming up with a plan on what to do today with Orange, I completely forgot there was no school today. My dad told me the same thing and I realized I was still in my school uniform. Thankfully I was able to notice and change into more casual clothing." He blushed a bit in embarrassment, but couldn't help but chuckle at himself.

 

He then turned around and was facing Orange. He took her hand in his and intertwined their fingers together. He nuzzled her and licked her on the cheek, before replying, "I'm sorry I ran off like that. I just hope you can forgive me for acting like that. Also, are you ready to show those people at the orphanage who's boss? After that we can enjoy the rest of the day together again, okay my love?" He had an apologetic look on his face as he spoke to her. He then smiled as he looked at her with love and confidence in his eyes.

Orange blushes and giggles "I-it's okay" she says shyly, then looks to her mother strapping Starling into her old stroller, she couldn't help but feel a little jealous "I r-remember when they used to do that with me" she remarks softly before the group begun to leave the store.

 

Candy smiles at her "you're a little too old for the stroller sweetheart, but you know you will always be our little angel" she says with a soft kiss to her cheek.

 

Orange blushes and giggles "O-okay mummy" she says, resting her head on Dynamo's shoulder "W-why do ponies make f-fun of me?"

As the group began to leave the shop, Dynamo couldn't help but notice the jealous look on Orange's face. He used his free hand to rub the back of his neck before replying, "E-Even if you're too old for a stroller, I can always c-carry you. If that doesn't make you feel uncomfortable that is." Dynamo smiled as he blushed.

 

He felt Orange rest her head on his shoulder and he happily sighed in content. As he heard her question, his smile had disappeared slightly as he had a sad look on his face. Almost instantly, his smile had returned and he began to nuzzle her, before replying, "Remember what you mom said earlier? It might be because you're not as mature as most ponies. Maybe it's because the way you act, that it doesn't fit into the standards or expectations of this town. Maybe it can even be the things you like like video games and anime. Most ponies here find that just to be a waste of time. Trust me, I've been there before when I moved here all that time ago. Although, if I can be honest, I think those ponies are just plain fools. The way they think is just normal and completely boring. The way you do things, your hobbies and everything else is the right way, in my opinion. I love you and you're perfect just the way you are. If ponies don't see that, then it's their loss. Their missing out on having a sweet, kind and awesome pony as a friend."

Candy nods and gently holds her other hand while Chocolate pushes the stroller, "Honestly Dynamo, Chocolate and I were very worried about how our little one was doing at school,we were even considering getting her a private tutor for home schooling, but with you around.." she smiles at him "A lot of that worry has gone, we believe having you around will help her greatly" she says in a soft and caring tone.

 

Chocolate nods "Indeed, she does have some friends, like Twilight, Sunset and Starlight, but..they are often busy with other things"

 

Orange nods "I..I don't wanna leave my school, it'd take me away from my Dynamo" she says ,pouting, not realizing her parents weren't going to take her out of the school now.

Dynamo took on a shocked expression on how Orange could have been home schooled. He smiled when he heard that he was able to help Orange. Dynamo nodded in understanding about how Twilight and the others are busy with other things. He turned his head to face her parents before replying, "Thank you Mrs. Hearts. I'm glad knowing I was able to help Orange. It's great to know that Orange has friends in Twilight, Sunset and Starlight. It's a shame though that they can be busy at times. Maybe if I can be their friend we can all hang out together. It sounds like a long shot, but I think it's possible."

 

Dynamo blushed, but smiled at Orange calling him 'her Dynamo.' He squeezed Orange's hand to reassure her that everything will be okay. "It's okay Orange. Your mom said that it could have been a possibility if I hadn't met you and how the way things turned out now. I promise you won't ever have to be worried about being home schooled. Even if you were home schooled, nothing would take me away from you. I'll always be by your side and nothing will ever change that. That's a promise." He sealed the promise with a kiss on the top of her head.

Orange smiles and leans more on him, she nods in his response "I-I." she sighs "I know Dynamo, I just, there could have been a chance w-we wouldn't have known each other" she says softly, and looks to her little sister, while she was still jealous, she knew that her little baby sister needed all the love she could get right now, and she was happy for her. She smiles and gently pets her head "She is so precious, I am so glad we found her" she says softly.

 

Starling looks up and smiles at her "I am too big sis" she says and then looks to Candy and Chocolate "C-can I have Icecream later please?" she asks cutely, to which both her mother and father nod.
