So I'm bored and wanted to try to a sort of interpretation/deduction game of guessing what really happened on the boat during this episode.

 

Since PPOV didn't actually provide a flashback which ended up being the "truth" of what actually happened on the boat, I figured I'd start up a thread about it.

 

Basically try to make an educated guess as to what happened on the boat, based off of hearing all of the explanations from Rarity, Pinkie Pie and AJ. Think of it like a detective game if you will, trying to piece together what happened in sequential order.

 

I'm going over at least 4 specific situations that seemed like they occurred and this is what I interpret as having happened, based off listening to all three of their accounts. (Note I try to go in order to present a logical sequence of events, and reference who's account I'm going with).

 

 

1. Getting on the boat at the beginning

- Rarity had a dress while boarding the boat (going with Pinkie Pie and AJ's flashback)

- Rarity had more than one assistant to help load luggage onto the boat (going with Pinkie Pie's flashback)

 

2. The dining table

 

- Pinkie Pie placed her candy on the table first (going with Pinkie's flashback)

- Rarity moved Pinkie's candy off the table to make room for her tiered platter (going with Pinkie's flashback)

- Rarity politely offered Pinkie a cucumber sandwich first but did not eat it (going with Rarity's flashback)

- Applejack accidentally bumped into Rarity causing her to accidentally fling the platter overboard (going with AJ's flashback)

 

3. the pinata

 

- Rarity politely refused to play pinata with Pinkie (sort of going with AJ and PP on flashback, but I don't think she was that rude in her refusal)

- Applejack volunteered to play pinata with Pinkie (going with Pinkie Pie's flashback)

 

4. tug-o-war over the map

 

- Applejack tried to steer but Rarity wanted to see where they were going (going with Rarity and AJ, sort of mixed )

- Pinkie Pie interpreted it as a game of tug of war and joined in (going with Pinkie pie on this)

- Pinkie had a hat while fighting over the map (going with Rarity and AJ's flashback)

- Everypony got splashed with water (going with Rarity's flashback)

- Pinkie pie pointed out, nopony was steering the boat (going with Pinkie pie's flashback)

- Applejack was the last pony to grab the steering wheel (everypony's flashback)

- there was no storm (just guessing )

 

So what do you think happened? Try to reconstruct what the sequential order of the events were on the boat.
