She nods and smiles "Should i use a disguise dear? I kind of think a lot of ponies would be..wary of me if not terrified" she says with a somewhat sad voice, she didn't want to use a disguise but she didn't quite know how finicky ponies could be in this day and age.

Indicus let out a disheartened sigh, "Unfortunately you may have to till we can get you publicly revealed by the princesses. Even then you may get a poor reception from some. I hate it too, you are beautiful in ways most ponies can't be. The shine of you chitin, the way your eyes reflect the light."

 

A ghost of a smile shown from Indicus "Though once you are publicly revealed then, the guards can't do anything and fuck what others think. For now we bear it so you are not thrown in prison for your sisters mistakes."

She smiles and nods as she nuzzles him before she changes into a unicorn mare with a sparkly mane, still wearing her glasses. She smiles "I-I hope this will do, though my name has changed with this disguise, it is now Arcania Starmane" she says softly but you can still call me by my real name in private.

Indicus smiled, "It will do nicely to keep others from panicking. Arcadia Starmane, you are good with names Crystal." Indicus took a breath, "Well we best get to Ponyville to get a dress made, for you. Still it is sad that because of this changeling stigma you can't get a dress to go with you real form."

Crystal nods and blushes "Thank you dear, I know what you mean, but I don't want to cause any trouble for Tia and Lulu, with what's been going on in the guard lately, they have enough trouble to deal with" she says softly as she begins to trot alongside him to Ponyville.

The pair received a few glances and whispers mostly because the local hermit was around and walking side by side with a unknown mare none the less. Something that could be made very odd as the only way other then through Ponyville to Indicus's place was a long trip through the Everfree.

 

Eventually the pair reached the Carrousel Boutique. Indicus knocked on the door "Come in!" Indicus opened the door and entered.

Arcania walked in with Indicus "O-oh this is miss Rarity's place, I h-heard she w-was there w-when my sister a-attacked the wedding" she says softly with a sad tone to her voice but then kisses Indicus "Luckily this disguise is almost as big as my Changeling form"

Rarity was finishing a project of hers then turned her attention to the new customers, with a hint of recognition. "Oh it's you Indicus, you don't come often what brings you here dear?"

 

"This fine mare next to me would like a dress made and I told her you were the best for the job." Indicus said pointing to Arcania

 

Rarity's face brightened and she looked Arcania up and down with a critical eye.

"Hmm, please step on the pedestal over here so I can take your measurements." Rarity requested.

Arcania blushes as she steps up to the pedestal and gets her measurements taken, she continues to blush "W-we're going to Canterlot, I-Indi has work to do there" she says, blushing at him "H-he saved me from dying the other day a-and since then..well I love him so much" she says and as she says it, her necklace glows a little.

Rarity sounds like she was about to squeal. "The noble hero saving the damsel in distress and the two falling in love. How romantic." Rarity took measurements of every part of Arcania head to flank.

 

Indicus chuckled "Noble hero, that's a new one."

 

Rarity chose to ignore the comment favouring her version.

 

The seamstress finished the measurements and spoke. "There I have a few ideas I'll draw them out for you to pick from five me some time you may wait in the waiting room and I'll be back out."

Arcania giggles and nods "It was rather romantic" she says with a soft smile "I even got to meet the Princesses yesterday" she says with a flick of her tail and goes over to the waiting room. After Rarity returns, she looks at the patterns "I like this one, the deep blue with purple hem, it looks like you added little diamonds to make it sparkle like my mane and tail"

Rarity smiles and nodded in approval of Arcania's choice, "Good choice dear, I was quite fond of the design myself. Well I'll have the dress done in about lets say four hours, anything else?" Indicus shakes his head, "No that is all Rarity, I'll have your payment ready then." 

 

Rarity looks like she wanted to protest the decision before Indicus intervened yet again, "No Rarity I am not letting you do it for free like every other time. I may have been tasked with protecting you and your friends during your early adventures but it was my job and I did it. I have payed for every job you have done for me for the past five years and will continue to do so. You guys only found out about that because Pinkie Pie has a hell of a tendency of knowing things she shouldn't"

 

With that said Indicus left the Boutique.

Arcania giggles "I do apologize for him dear" she says then looks to her and sighs before she left, "Rarity, I hear you're the element of generosity, and by what Indi has said, it sure is true, but I want to know something, how are you with understanding? With not generalizing ponies?" she asks with a soft and tender tone. "I would like to tell..show you something, but I need to know I can trust you"

Rarity was unsurprisingly a bit confused while Indicus knew what was going on and couldn't argue the logic. "I'd like to consider myself much more open minded then I was when I was younger, something helped by several adventures myself and the girls have had over the years. So yes you have my word that while I can't guarantee I won't be startled, I'll give what ever you are showing me a chance."

Arcania nods "First of all, I want you to know, I know what Chrysalis did during the wedding was wrong, while I understand her reason, the method was wrong" she says and then looks to Indicus then looks back to her "I am not what I seem to be, you see" she says as she begins to drop her disguise, and soon there she stood as she was meant to be seen, the beautiful Changeling queen only without the holes, twisted horn and butterfly wings instead of insect wings.

"To say Rarity was surprised would be an understatement, before her was a Changeling although she looked very different from Chrysalis, though she did mention Chrysalis to be her sister and something about a reason. It took a moment of processing everything but Rarity eventually came back to her senses. "Well dear excuse me but you caught me by surprise. Though I have never had much interaction with Changelings besides the wedding. I trust that if Indicus trusts and even loves you then you must not be a bad pony."

 

Rarity takes another look at Arcania and ideas pop into her head. "If you would not mind I would like to make you a dress for your true form, one fit for your stature. This will be both a gift and an experiment so I will not accept any pay." Rarity looked at Indicus who nodded. "Give me a moment while I make some patters to show you." Rarity left to her workshop leaving the two alone.

 

"Well that went better then expected." Indicus Chuckled," she would have passed out a good fifteen years back when she was younger."

Crystal nods and smiles "I understand dear and thank you, that is very kind of you" she says as she stands on the pedestal again. "I was exiled from the Crystal Empire a century ago when Sombra overthre me and killed my hive" she explains "and my real name is Crystal Cocoon. You, Indi and the Princesses are the only ones who know the truth"

Rarity finishes her new measurements writing them down on a paper for later, "Well now it goes from a damsel in distress to Indicus here rescuing a distressed, exiled Queen even more romantic. Once upon a time when I was much more foolish, I dreamed of such a thing but now I found that I don't need a prince just somepony that will love me for who I am.  Though I never Imagined Indicus of all ponies to be the romantic type sometime you must give me all the fun little details over some tea." Rarity turned to draw out the patterns. "Well I'm going to get the patterns done see you both in a minute."

Crystal giggles and sighs in relief "maybe ponies won't react too badly at the news" she says as she nuzzles him then giggles at a thought "could you imagine Shade being with Rarity?" She laughs "She is beautiful and his disguise is rather...well handsome" she giggles again l"we should invite them both to the gala"

"That would be a very interesting turn of events, to say the least, also I believe the elements get invited every year." Indicus replied

 

It was not long till Rarity finished her sketches and came to the waiting room to show what she came up with. "I'm back, so here are some ideas what do you like?" Rarity then showed each pattern to Crystal.

Crystal nods then looks to the ideas "you really have an eye for fashion dear" she says as she picks out a dress "that one, the black and silver one, ot looks perfect darling"

 

She nods to him "if you invite him, don't tell him I'll be there, I want it to be a surprise. He'll recognize my disguise"

"I'll keep that in mind Crystal, though finding him might be a bit difficult. Though I doubt we will have to, the bastards resourceful enough to find me and if we are going into Canterlot it will make it even easier." 

 

Rarity smiles once more, "Okay then I will have both dresses done in about six hours." Rarity walks to her workstation and starts on the project. Indicus turns to Crystal, "So want to maybe get something from the bakery and go to the park while w wait?"

Crystal smiles as she puts on her disguise again and nods "Yes dear, that sounds wonderful" she says and nuzzles him, she looks to Rarity "thank you so much for the dresses darling, we will be back in six hours to pick them up before we leave" she says as she kisses Indicus and just before leaving the boutique she says with a soft tone "Don't worry darling, you'll get your prince in no time" she says with a giggle.

Indicus lead Arcania to Sugar cube Corner one of the most popular bakeries in Ponyville. The pair was greeted by Mr.Cake, "Hello What can I do for you two today?" Indicus thought for a moment. "A loaf of pumpkin spice bread, along with carrot-cake and a half dozen cupcakes." Mr Cake nods, "That would come to twenty seven bits." Indicus gave the stallion the bits, and took the order the last stop before the park was a griffin deli that sold food geared towards omnivores and carnivores. There he ordered a couple of vegetarian sandwiches along with some ham sandwiches.

 

The pair finally arrived at the park where Indicus seemingly conjured a blanket from seemingly nowhere and sat everything down. "Well here we are a nice day with time to kill lets enjoy this little lunch." Indicus kissed his disguised marefriend.

Crystal smiles "These look so delicious" she says as she licks her mouth as they sit down on the blanket and she nods but then she suddenly sees somepony she felt was very familiar from the corner of her eye, she shivers a little, but it was a good kind of shiver and looks to Indicus, she whispers "I don't think we will have to find him" she says, pointing to the lone pony
