Chrysalis looks at Nightmare nervously, "Hello Nightmare, Indicus told me a bit about you and there was the whole mare on the moon story of course." Chrysalis's thought trailed off and Indicus decided to reassure Chrysalis. "It will be fine, we are all here for you." Though the sentiment was nice for Chrysalis it was not the source of her nervousness. She was standing before the mother of the one she was starting to really fall for. Unlike Luna Chrysalis knew little of Nightmare Moon, just the mare on the moon story and some guesses that Nightmare was around longer then the princesses if not by much. 

 

Though it took a moment Chrysalis did regain her wits about her and continued, "Thanks for the confidence in me Moon. I also wanted to confess a little something." Chrysalis blushed. "I think I may be In love with your son." Chrysalis's blush deepened and she held Indicus closer. Indicus was processing what she just said and blushing himself It was one thing to have a feeling that someone held deep feelings then another to hear it directly. Though he found seeing himself with Arachnia, Chrysalis and Chrystal to be quite pleasant.

Nightmare smiles "Oh he sure is the ladies man, that's for sure" she says with a giggle and nuzzles her son lovingly "Some may balk at his heritage, but the three of you, even miss Rarity, you look past that and you see him for the sweet stallion he is"

Indicus blushed adverting his eyes for a second, Chrysalis smiled finding the motion to be amusing. "He is quite the ladies man, and even more importantly a good person part demon or not. Though I have never hear mention of his birth father from him or anyone else, I just wanted to know why if I am not barging on anything too personal."

Nightmare looks to Indicus and closes her eyes "Luna? Is he ready to find out the truth?" she asks her other side, who had looked after him for a while now.

Crystal looks at them and tilts her head "I-I would like to know as well, Moon? Is something wrong?" she asks, nuzzling the mare then looking to Chrysalis and to her daughter Shade..

Luna looked at Indicus and the others seeming to be in deep thought. "I think it is best we tell him. I have learned that waiting is seldom a good idea. As much as we both wish we did not have to share this." Luna cast several spells to keep listeners, peepers and even the most powerful of known scrying spells and other similar magics as well as dismissing all the guards from the room. "There we will have total privacy."

Crystal looked around and bowed her head "So Luna, who is Indicus' father? Was he a nice stallion?" she asks and holds Indicus' hand tightly as she gently nuzzles him and it was also something that Chrysalis did "Though maybe we should get Arachnia first?" she suggests

"I'll do it mama" Shade says and giggles as she sops off to find her aunt, wherever she was, starting with the bedrooms, and she found her in the first one,she smiles and walks over to her and nuzzles her "Auntie Arachania, wake up please auntie, there's something important you need to hear back in the throne room" she says softly

Arachnia opened her eyes to see Shade waking her. "Okay Shade I'm up just give me a moment to get a little something more presentable on." Arachnia only took ten minutes to freshen up before heading to the throne room. She smiled upon seeing Chrysalis but kept quiet in response to the meloncoly mood.

Shade smiles and nods as she follows and then sits down next to Chrysalis and curls up, resting her head in her lap "So then, now that we are all here, tell us please dedar Luna, who is our handsome Indicus' father?" Crystal asks as she runs a brush through her mane

Luna sighed as she pulled up all the memories she had during the rebellion that were not too hazy due to Nightmare possessing her. "Indicus's father was a Bat pony warlord that had allied himself with Nightmare during the rebellion. My recollection of events is still quite hazy due to being possessed at the time. I think the Warlord's name was Shadow Strike and though I don't remember too much I do remember that his skill in combat could be matched by very few. Some even said that the blood of gods flowed through his veins." Luna shook her head "Sorry Nightmare will have to give most of the details, she remembers them much more clearly than I do."

Nightmare then came back out "He was indeed a bat pony, and he was close friends with Luna even before I came about but he also did indeed ally himself with me when I did come out and during the rebellion" she says and closes her eyes "Shadow Strike was indeed a strong and exceptionally skilled stallion on the battlefield, but..he was also a very gentle and kind lover" she says with tears in her eyes "I..I do not know what had happened to him after my banishment though"

It would just so happen, that said Shadow Strike, had been given pardon by Celestia, and though his alicorn magic was gone, he had remained at the palace as Night Guard captain and was patrolling the halls when he came across the throne room, sighing he closes his eyes and thinks to himself "Soon my love Luna, soon you will learn the truth" he says softly.

Indicus walked up to both of his mothers and hugged them Luna returned the hug quickly as her memory of the stallion started to clear up. "Hey even if he is gone some would say the parents live through their sons and daughters. I just hope he would approve of how I turned out."

Celestia nods as she listens in, knowing full well that Shadow was indeed still alive "I think it is time" she says as she smiles at Luna and Indicus "Your lover, Shadow is indeed still alive, in fact, he is right here in our castle, and has been very loyal to you throughout the years, but he is someone close to you" she says and smiles softly "Captain Strike, please come in now" she says.

The aforementioned captain of the Night Guard walks into the throne room, and bows "Your highness" he says before looking to both Luna and Indicus with a soft smile

Luna looked at Shadow Strike with disbelief. Unable to properly show the mix of happiness, anger and relief. Luna smacked Shadow Strike, "That was for not showing yourself to me sooner." Luna then kissed Shadow Strike. "That is because Nightmare and I love you, and speaking of Nightmare. Nightmare come over here and do what you will with your child's father."

Indicus stood there having a hard time getting over the fact that he never thought he would see the mother that had birthed him much less his biological father. Yet here was the both of them in one room.

Shadow chuckles a little "I..didn't exactly have much choice love, part of my pardon was to lay low and not show my true self until it was a hundred percent certain that it was not my influence on you that cause Nightmare to rebel" he says softly 

Celestia nods "It is true dear sister, it is I who should be apologizing"

Shadow just smiles though as he looks at his son while Nightmare showed herself "Well love, this is what you helped create"

Shadow smiles widely "I see that, and from what else I've seen, quite the ladies' man too, three Changeling queens eh son? Why no bat ponies?" he asks teasingly with a wink

 Luna kissed Shadow Strike, "Don't worry dear, the rebellion was never because of you." Luna then let Indicus speak to his father deciding to inform him later on what happened with Indicus and what his grandmother did to him.

Indicus smiled a bit though his smile turned to a frown and his voice was distant, "I did have a batpony marefriend named Dusk Flower once. It was before meeting Crystal, Chrysalis, and Arachnia even was about to propose to Dusk after a mission before the mission went sideways and it caused the death of my entire team except for Shaded." Indicus pointed towards Shaded when he spoke.

Shaded smiles and salutes him, Shadow shakes his head "I was teasing son, I'm proud of you though, three beautiful mares and one of them a dear friend of mine" he says as he looks to Crystal with a smile "Dear Crystal, you look as lovely as I remember, it is good to see you again and to know you are in the caring hands of my son"

Crystal blushes "Shadow, always the charmer" she giggles and nuzzles him "It is good to see you again"

Indicus gives his father a one armed hug, "Thanks dad, I'm glad I could meet you after all this time. I am with three great mares all who have grown on me rather quickly. As for geting with a bat pony again that will be a hundred percent up to chance. Though I hope I don't make too much of a habit of attracting royals of other races because I don't know if I could survive heat season."

Shadow chuckles "Best of luck with that son, if they're anything like your mother, which I'm willing to bet they are, you're going to need a stamina spell to keep up" he says and winks to Luna before sitting next to her "So, I also hear you have two little ones calling you daddy already?"

Indicus chuckled, "I would be sure to keep that in mind if I did not know now my stamina and endurance comes from mom." Indicus thought of Sugardrops and Bountiful Dawn with a smile "Yea they are two fillies one is Sugardrops is Night Vision's daughter and Bountiful Dawn who was adopted by Arachnia. Even Shade seems to have taken to calling me dad. Honestly I just hope I do right by them and any biological children I may have."

"I'm sure you will darling, all of us are" Luna says with a soft smile and nuzzles him "I've seen how you treat little Sugardrop and Bountiful Dawn, they adore you, so we all have faith in you that with them and any biological children you may have in the future, you will be the best father you can be" she says, nuzzling him once more "Now, I believe we have gala plans to discuss"

Indicus smiled, "Thanks mom you saying that means a lot." Indicus looks around the room and shrugs. "I have a good suit already I'm sure it is just the ladies that need any sort of Gala dresses" Indicus quickly stepped back to let the women do the planning for dresses and the like. Arachnia did speak up. "I made myself a dress while Indicus and Crystal was away but I think that Rarity and I could make the designs together, let her work with the spider silk, if she dose not mind that is." Arachnia looked towards Rarity.

Rarity smiles "As I said the other night, it would be both an honor and a pleasure to work alongside you" she says as she walks up to them then looks to chrysalis witha hint of pain and sorrow in her eyes "Chrysalis, it is..good to see you in good health" she says hesitantly

Chrysalis looked at Rarity with a small grin. "It is good to see you as well." Chrysalis noticed the heasitation and felt her sorrow, she decided to address it. "Rarity you should know I don't blame you and your friends for what happened at the wedding and the Changeling race will survive."  Chrysalis put a hand on Rarity's shoulder in an attempt to reassure her.

Rarity nods "I know Chrysalis, and we know you acted out of desperation, it was just a big shock to us all really' she says, giving the royal Changeling a reassuring smile and sighs softly "Twilight may take a little time to adjust though" she then looks to Indicus "However, she does trust your judgment implicitly"

Indicus listened to the conversation for a second before he was addressed, "I guess she dose doesn't she. I'll talk to her and Rainbow Dash about it though the being part demon thing may cause Twilight to go full mad scientist mode so that will be interesting. As for Dash it will probably get some 'cool points' with her." Indicus started thinking about being half demon and honestly found he knew little of what that meant he would have to ask if his mom did not glean it from him with her crazy level of perception.
