If a portal was open for Equestria in earth would it even be Equestria anymore?

Think about it. If humans could freely go to Equestria, what's to say humans won't change the place to become exactly like earth or change it to not be the Equestria we dreamed to be?

It would definitely be influenced by us, But I think it would remain its own for awhile Until someone tried to conker it anyways.

I guess humans would be careful, and then they would start inventing, then start harvesting, then start war with ponies and then the elements of harmony make them all good again.

Who says if a portal was open between here and Equestria that humans would be able to go through freely?  Through any border there is a border check. 

 

Plus if it was a single portal going to a single place, how many people would be able to go through it regardless?  I mean ponies would also be going back and forth, plus any goods.  Add to that emergency medical services where our medicine is better than theirs or their magic is better than ours.

 

It isn't as easy to traverse Equestria either.  They don't seem to have all that built up of a transit system and unless you can afford a pegasus chariot, you are going by train or hiking(and good luck with the monsters).  Plus I would figure Equestria to be very expensive for us seeing as how they use several gold bits for most things, especially initially.

 

Plus while in Equestria you are 100% out of contact.  No cellphone service, no internet link, very limited mail service.

I'd say the biggest initial changes would be with things like music.  Some music form we have would probably take off there and vice-versa.

Of course it would still be Equestria! We aren't ANIMALS, we don't want to turn a place into a carbon copy of our homeland, erasing its national identity and ability to function. I find it hard to cut down on the swearing for people, but for ponies, I'd stop completely.

As we can see today, the EU is very willing to erase national identies for the sake of wealth. Trump is right. The real France doesn't exist anymore and many other european countries will follow.

 

Just look at what people have done in history every time they have found a new land, wiped out, or tried to wipe out, the indigineous people and colonise it. RIP Equestria.

 

Yup. There would be more space to conquer for human religions and political ideologies. Isolationism would be the only way for Equestria.

 

So far it seems to go well for Equestria. As example, i don't see thousands or millions of griffins populating, multiplying and changing Equestria forever, even though it might be the better place to live. lol

In reality, the villains from Equestria would pour through the portal and turn Earth in a nightmare hellscape. I say Chrysalis gets South Africa, Sombra gets Russia, Flim and Flam get America, and Gladmane can have Canada.
