Fluttershy's face lit up with happiness and excitment.

"This is amazing.."

She whispered and smiled.

"Aw, look.. A baby raccoon!" Fluttershy walked over to it and nuzzled it. The mama came along a few minutes later.

A lot of small, cuddly animals came and gathered round to watch the scene.

Fluttershy smiled at them.

"I guess I just have a way with animals.. I hope you don't mind.."

 

Steel was once again awestruck by the uncanny empathy exhibited by Fluttershy. "Not . . . at all." It was almost like she had a spark of divinity in her. Like something in her soul made her vital to the existence of this world. "How can a mere soldier, be anything to a saint?" He wondered to himself. She picked up a slice of watermelon and bit into it softly.

"Mmm, this is so good!" She squealed happily.

"Playing it like a violin he is....." prince still waited for the right moment until he heard what steel said. "Go!" The Phoinex launched from his mane with a burst of fiery speed.

Some of the animals ran away in fear of the bird of prey. Amy landed in Steel Accord's Mane and chirped. It started to settled down with content eyes. "Hopefully, Steel doesn't get burnt..." prince said looking with great interest.

"All ladies deserve to be treated as royalty. I just worry . . . you don't know ME enough to make informed decisions. There might be something about me that my lead you to despise me. If that be the case, I will step aside, if not . . . well I don't know. Can we just enjoy this beautiful night and talk for awhile. I love to hear you speak."

"alittle of both" Prince chuckled and let his tail fall under the branch. "now..." he said softly as the end of his tail sparked a small flame. Amy suddenly changed mood, she looked at the remaining critters with a hungry face. She chirped then her wings went ablaze! She jumped off steels mane and began to chase the animals. Prince grabbed Sugar's tail "Here you'll need this if you don't want to be next." he lite the end of her tail with a small flame "What ever you do, don't extuish that flame!"

"Fluttershy get down!" Steel yelled as he threw himself over her and used his body like a shield. The Phoenix flew over both of them and pursued it's prey.

"Hmmmm" prince swag his tail back and forth. "collateral damage? Not good... This just got serious." prince slowly spread out his wings just incase something else went unexpected.

"Phoenix! It's going after your friends!" Steel did a quick once over on Fluttershy. She was scared . . . and she was crying. The sight and sound of it broke Steel's heart and drove him into a conniption. " . . . Wait here." Steel calmly instructed as he reached his head into the picnic basket. He was visibly vibrating with fury. When his head came back out he held a weapon in his mouth. A weapon that civilian ponies almost never saw.

"No harm will come to those critters Fluttershy. I promise." Steel said clearly and with grim purpose through the mouth guard. He took to the air in pursuit of the flaming bird.

Prince saw Steel move around "What are you doing Steel?" Prince looked on in curiousity. Prince's face turned furious at the sight of the weapon. "You have no idea the set of events you've put in place my friend." Prince got up from his cover in the tree and the ends of his wings went ablaze! "I'm going to rectify the Situation!" Prince took off with a trail of golden flames following. "Why did he think this was the right thing to do..." prince signed, he locked his wings in place and jetted after Steel, while Amy still gave chase to a certain bunny.

Steel closed in on the bird and fired off two consecutive shots.

 

*bang bang*

 

One shot missed and the second grazed Amy's wing. Not doing much but drawing it's attention away from Angel Bunny and the other critters. Steel flew above the bird and landed on a low hanging cloud. He kept the iron sights on the Phoenix to see if she would get the message or persist in her attack.

"How Dare You!" Out of the night sky, a fiery brown blur flew through Steel Accord's cloud, dispersing it and ruining his aim. The blur turned back came with at a great speed. It stopped right infront of the grey Pegasus. Seeing he had nothing to rest on, prince used his horn to pick up steel by the wing tips, holding him in midair like a cat holding a mouse by the tail. He crossed his arms and looked at steel with a very displeased look. "What are you doing?" he asked like a mother asking her son. The phoniex landed on princes head and chirped then stopped as his mane and tail started to turn vermillion.
